Comments about Chi Tea Tree Oil Tea Tree Serum:

The Tea Tree oil is great but I wouldn't use it every shampoo. It's perfect for those times when hair is not manageable but use sparingly. A little goes a long way!

It's very thick and difficult to apply throughout hair. I thought it might be an alternative to using tea tree oil on my scalp but it is too heavy a product to put near your roots.

Comments about Chi Tea Tree Oil Tea Tree Serum:

I use this on my scalp and not my hair. Several weeks ago, my seborrheic dermatitis was flaring up so much that I couldn't get it under control (yay stress and changing weather!). My medicated shampoo wasn't helping at all. Out of desperation I looked for a tea tree oil that was suitable for the scalp and came across this. I applied it directly to the skin and left it for 15 minutes before washing it out. The next day the seb derm was hardly noticeable. This oil had helped rein it back in. It's super easy to use and the smell is absolutely delightful. I really love the addition of peppermint and lavender oils. This serum also opened me up other products from this same line and I've since bought CHI's Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner, which I believe is helping manage my skin. My only complaint (and the reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5) is that the bottle is so small, and therefore the amount so little. I will definitely continue to use this product, though.

Comments about Chi Tea Tree Oil Tea Tree Serum:

I received this Tea Tree Serum as a gift with purchase and was prepared to dislike it as it sounded like it would be too heavy for my super-fine hair. I have to admit that I have really enjoyed it. As I thought, it is a thick product with a slick, oily texture but i find that using just a pea size drop of it through my hair (except for the roots) after I have used a root lifting product by Tigi, is keeping my hair shiny and healthy looking after blowdrying. I always skip a day between shampoos and even on the second dayvmy hair does not look greasy, just healthy. I feel like this bottle is going to last me forever since I use such a tiny amount. For reference, my hair is very fine and thin, color-treated and shoulder length.
