Tea tree oil, or melaleuca, is an essential oil derived from an Australian plant. It has antiseptic properties which can eliminate bacteria and other contaminants, as well as cleanse and treat wounds. It is also an anti-inflammatory. Together, these traits make tea tree oil a double whammy punch in the fight against acne and other skin issues, while remaining gentler than benzoyl peroxide, commonly the main ingredient in acne medications.

SKINFOOD's Tea Tree Fresh Cleansing Foam is a refreshing cleansing foam that removes impurities from skin with soft, creamy foam, infused with tea tree oil with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial properties.
Place an adequate amount into wet palms and massage gently on entire face. Rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Water, Myristic Acid, Glycerin, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, Dipropylene Glycol, Potassium Hydroxide, Lauric Acid, Glyceryl Stearate Se, Palmitic Acid, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Stearic Acid, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Sodium Chloride, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Peg-14m, Tetrasodium Edta, Beta-Glucan, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Butylene Glycol, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Chlorophyllin-Copper Complex, Hizikia Fusiforme Extract, Enantia Chlorantha Bark Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Oleanolic Acid, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract.

I have sensitive, acne prone skin and this product made my face break out after only one use. I know that tea tree oil is supposed to help with acne but it definitely inflamed mine. If you do not have a problem with tea tree oil, then this product might be ok for you.

I use this twice a day, every day, and I LOVE it. The packaging tends to leak a little though. I wish it had been made better. Putting the product in different packing makes this my perfect face wash.

Comments about Skinfood Tea Tree Fresh Cleansing Foam:

A lot of my friends rave about tea tree oil, so I thought I would give this a try. I really enjoy how smoothly it spreads over your face. It isn't gritty, so you can rub it into your skin without scratching or irritating it. I haven't noticed any huge, drastic difference, but I have seen that the pimples and acne I get are considerably less red and puffy after using this, and after a few days they shrink down to little pink spots. It washes off easy, but leaves the kind of dry, draggy feeling you sometimes get after using bar soap; honestly, though, if you moisturize (like you should be) it isn't a problem at all, though I still wouldn't recommend this for people with very dry skin. If you have a considerable acne problem, you might want to look for something a little more heavy duty than this; I'd say this is more of a preventative and soother than it is an acne-ridding product, but it would probably still be good for soothing irritation! Some people are very sensitive to tea tree oil, so I'd really implore you to try a small drugstore tea tree product and test it out before buying this.

I'll almost definitely buy some more of this when I'm out.

I ordered this online to give it a try and love the results. I use it with the toner and it clears my clear and makes it soft. I use the cleanser with my Clarisonic for a deep clean. I definitely am adding this line to my skincare line.

Comments about Skinfood Tea Tree Fresh Cleansing Foam:

I usually have normal skin but it tends to be very drying during the cold winter, so I wanted to find a cleansing that was both effective in reducing the small bumps on my face while also moisturizing my skin especially in this cold weather. I read the raves about tea tree oil and wanted to try this cleanser out since it claimed to both cleanse and moisturize the skin. At first, I really liked it since when applying it, the cleanser was really silky soft and thought it would help with the dry patches on my skin. However, after washing it off and pat drying my face, my skin wouldn't be any softer. In fact, after continuous use, I started to find more dry patches on my face and the cleanser started to painfully irritate the ones I already have. I would use a face moisturizer after but it became almost ineffective than when I used it without the cleanser. I feel that this cleanser would do well for people with more troubled skin but the formula is a bit too strong for dry or normal skin.

I have oily/acne prone skin and while this was doesn't completely get rid of acne it seems to lessen the severity of my acne. My zits are smaller than they were before and I feel like my acne heals more nicely than before as well. Lastly, it smells great and leaves my skin feeling clean.
