Though this is not technically a product "review", I was glad to see Ulta involved and helping raise funds for a cancer, that if detected early, is considered to be the most survivable kind, but can leave scars physically as well as mentally. This is special to me because my Mom had breast cancer, and thankfully with quick action, along with Chemotherepy and radiation, had 15 wonderful hers in remission. She later passed by a diagnosis of Pancreatic cancer; which is a devistating and heartbreaking cancer in itself, with an extreamly low survival rate. So, raising money for breast cancer is really close to my heart. If every person could donate even one dollar, that would add up to millions, and help in so many ways. I personally, when able, always donate. If we all worked together and donated even a dollar, which in the sceme of things, is obviously a small amount for one person, that could add up fast -and change lives with financing new technologies to help detect breast cancer quicker. There a devastating effects that exceed surviving the disease. You never really think how important hair is, until you are the one that is losing it. It's amazing how good a new wig can make a woman feel when she has been through so much. So please, I urge everyone to always donate, even if it is a small amount, we can make big changes in peoples lives. Thank you Ulta for supporting woman, and helping raise money each year for woman all over!
The Sales Associate asked if we would like to donate to be entered into the drawing for the bag of goodies or we could donate 5.00 for an item. After looking at item I said no we will just do the drawing for the bag of goodies. When handed my receipt after making my purchases there was a 5.00 charge for BCRF, I asked the associate if I got to choose an item since she charged me the 5.00 bucks and she said well you didn't want one. I also didn't ask to be charged 5.00 for the item but I feel she was going to keep it for herself since she charged me and did not even mention it AFTER I said no we only want to enter for the goody bag. I later saw in an email from ULTA that you do not even have to donate to enter the drawing for the goodies. Things like this will make me not go back to Ulta and NEVER give to a cause thru Ulta Again. I feel it was very dishonest on what the associate was trying to do
