Most Helpful Positive Review Actually really impressed with this
I usually use the It! Cosmetics Illumination Celebration Foundation because it has great coverage and doesn't look cakey. The only thing is even their lightest shade is too dark for me. This Maybelline Super Stay Powder Foundation, however, is actually a little too light in the lightest shade! That has never happened before. I'm impressed with their pale shades. Anywho, I only use powder foundation for when I have to get ready super fast. usually for taking my son to school or running errands. I have hyperpigmentation from old acne. This stuff isn't super full coverage. I'd say it's a nice medium. You can still just barely see my marks slightly. But it does a great job at evening out my skintone. It looks pretty natural on the skin. I got zero caking or crumbling like I have had with other powder foundations in the past. This one ends up looking like I put a light/medium foundation and then threw a light dusting of powder on top. It's very good and works for what I need it for! I did notice, as the day goes on, I get a little bit of weirdness happening around my nose. In the picture posted, I've been wearing it for 2hrs with a runny nose. So take that as you will.
Most Helpful Critical Review NOT for oily skin!
When I first applied this powder foundation (with the sponge dry) I was blown away by the coverage. I didn't even need concealer! (I have aging, blotchy skin, huge pores, and some spots.) It definitely does NOT look natural. Like, at all. It's super-matte. But hey, major coverage! I was ready to give it holiest of grails status. BUT... within an hour, my t-zone was a grease slick. Forget about blotting, this stuff rubs right off with a light breeze. By the three hour mark, I was looking pretty rough - the powder had settled into every vertical line on my face - not so much the horizontal lines, but the vertical expression lines that you can't avoid making. It had started to settle into my pores and had completely disappeared around my nose. It was breaking up on my chin and forehead. By the afternoon I couldn't even stand to look at myself, ugh. So it definitely did NOT work for my oily t-zone (and I had even used a light dusting of setting powder when I first applied it). But here's the thing - on my cheeks and jawline, where my skin is a little dry, it still looked amazing - smooth, matte and perfect. So my guess is, this could work amazingly well for someone with normal to dry skin, who has not a trace of oiliness ever. But if your skin is even a little bit oily (mine is moderately so), forget about it. You will look amazing for about 30 minutes but then it will just go downhill over the course of the day. I so wish it had staying power for we of the oily-skins, because the coverage is legit. I may still try and work with it, maybe apply it with a brush or just use it as a spot concealer. Pretty disappointed overall though.

Good drugstore option
AshleyW910 from Central texas
Picked this up as a more affordable option for powder foundations. Does ok for the drugstore, but does seem to transfer quite a bit. Some of my high end powder foundations leave little to no residue on my face masks, where this one almost makes me feel like it took off half my face. Staying power is good when a face mask isn't at play. I won't ding them for that, as this is a whole new staying power challenge that cosmetics companies don't normally have to deal with.
Best Foundation Ever
Elle from Kentucky
I have what's considered normal skin, and an olive complexion with yellow undertones. The whole yellow undertones thing rules out many, many popular foundations for me. I'm so thankful that Maybelline offers a wide array of foundations just for such. I have always loved powder foundations. They just look better on my skin. I was using a very popular and more expensive mineral powder foundation for many years, and decided to try this one as I was sick of paying so much for my foundation. This foundation is totally perfect for my needs. I know it will not work for everyone, but it's the best I've found. So all the things I love: excellent color, buildable powder foundation which is also very convenient, and the price point can't be beat. I've found it lasts all day long if I use ELF's mineral infused primer. Other primers I've tried seemed to be made to be used in conjunction with liquid foundations
This is very nice powder.

I use this every day and it never feels heavy. Goes on very nicely.

this stuff is amazing, it never fails to make my skin look flawless. covers the redness on my face and i've gotten compliments on how natural it looks.
great for oily gals

I am impressed with how flawless my oily red pimply and shiny skin looks like after applying this powder foundation. the only downside is, its hard to find the right color match based on the photograph of the product... I ordered natural ivory, but in real life it look so yellowy. anyways, next time I'll try different shade.
Cosgalevi from San Jose
My best and easiest go to and affordable powder foundation. It gives me the coverage I need. Although it does come with a compact sponge I find it more convenient when I use my buffing foundation brush.
Covers really good

I really liked this foundation powder it goes on nice with moisturized/primed skin . I have some dark spots and it covers everything like foundation. This IS NOT A SETTING POWDER, if you wear liquid foundation I would recommend not to put this over , I can say it doesn't look that great. But no need for liquid if you put this on

If you have oily skin and you're looking for a medium/build able coverage foundation, you NEED this! I've spent so much time and money trying to find the perfect foundation for my oily skin and I have FINALLY found exactly what I need! So impressed by Maybelline's products!

Right now this is my go to powder foundation when I'm doing a quick face. Love the coverage. I'm a full coverage type girl fyi. Totally impressed with the coverage with it being drug store and a powder. I even sometimes go over my liquid foundation with it to set it and add some extra coverage if I feel want it or need it. Will purchase again, actually have already. And yes I'd recommend!
I want to give this 5 stars!
Katherine from Hartford, CT
I've been wanting to switch over to powder foundations for a while now, because I'm honestly sick of using liquid/BB creams, and I love the ease of quickly powdering your face and being ready to go.
When I first applied this, I was SUPER impressed with how full coverage it is. That is one of the main reasons I will continue to keep trying this out, because I love the coverage and the finish. I think it was a great start to powder foundations for me.
However, it made me really oily within a few hours. I'm not sure if that's powder foundation in general for me (I haven't tried many yet), because I do tend to be an oily person. I just really wish this wouldn't make me so oily, because I really like the product otherwise. But, for the price and the coverage, it's not too bad of a deal!
Bottom line: I probably wouldn't expect this to last all day on your skin, unless you have fairly normal skin!
JollyMe from NJ
I've been looking for a powder that I can wear to work so I don't look tired. I have oily skin, and it sits fine on my skin. I feel the coverage is more medium than full, but it's buildable. it is lightweight and has been keeping my oily shine undercontrol. I don't touch it up while at work, so it does last long. it's not bad for the price. I'd recommend it.
Will continue to buy!

I don't recommend this product for anyone with dry skin or if your having a breakout because it makes your acne more obvious. On the other hand I don't really get acne and love the flawlessness of my face when I wear this product & one down side it it shows your peach fuzz on your face more but a really good dupe for Bare Minerals powders!
Loved it! it is really a SUPERSTAY !!

I decided to try this product out of frustration because Ulta has been out of my shade of mineral powder foundation for the last 4 months (on-line and in-store). Poor and disappointing substitute...
not my favorite
MJ from MN
I've tried many pressed powders and thought to give this a try for a daily powder. I would definitely not repurchase. I prefer the Fit Me personally. I found this one to bee way too cakey and I prepped with moisturizer. The powder sunk into my pores and I used the elf putty primer underneath, which is what I use daily.
Its good, but not great!
katie from nj
I bought this as an easy application product for my daily routine. It provides a decent coverage, but clings to any dry spots on the face. I applied it with my tati beauty mini blendiful on top of clinique moisturizer and elf hydrating primer. I am going to continue to use it, but probably wont repurchase.
Very, Very Impressed with Maybelline!!

I am so impressed with this Maybelline Powder Foundation! I'm more impressed that it's a Maybelline product! I love my Ulta brand powder foundation and thought I'd try this since I have read lots of positive reviews and I'm so glad I did. It leaves my face looking flawless and glowing. I highly recommend this product. It comes with a mirror & sponge inside the compact which is very convenient. I just really love it!
Oily Acne skin.
Bailey from Florida
Tried this powder today to replace my liquid foundation. Applied CeraVe moisturizer to prep my skin. I have Oily/Acne skin. Attached picture is what I noticed right away after applying with a powder brush. Wouldn't recommend if you're skin has any imperfections.
100% full coverage
Maddie from Bay Area
I am not a pressed powder person, because powders to me usually just add a layer of cake to your face without the smooth coverage they all claim to provide. I am usually a setting powder person. But this powder... CHANGED MY LIFE! When they say full coverage they mean full coverage. If you use the little sponge they give you, you can cover all signs of acne and everything. But if you use a fluffy face brush it gives you enough coverage to correct imperfections without being too full. You can even use it on its own! I just can't even explain how good it is you have to try it yourself!
Reminds me of Lancôme's heavy duty powder

I use this over my Clinique chubby stick light coverage foundation and it's amazing!!! It reminds of me of Lancôme's dual powder. I will definitely have to check out the other products in the superstay line!
