Most Helpful Positive Review I would buy this product again ! I love it so much ! I wash my hands then i wash my face with a cleanser , tone my face , put a moisturizer on then re wash my hands then apply primer than re wash my hands to proceed to apply makeup . i breakout if i do not wash hands or brushes frequently and also if i dont use sensitive products for my skin . So this product puts my makeup look together i just wish the duration of the wear of the product was longer but overall, this product rocks.
Most Helpful Critical Review Didn't like it at all! Usually Clinique has worked well for me, but based on my experience, I can't recommmend using this product. It didn't "color correct" anything. It didn't allow for make up to blend. It went on blotchy. It didn't keep make up fresh and it place. It did not absorb oil and mattify. This is not what I expected from a primer.
It did feel heavy, greasy, caused blemishes and created a greasy glow across my face by midday. This is not what I expected either.
This product was suggested to me by Ulta staff for those with combo skin as a mattifying primer. Although I mentioned that products with silicone and dimethicon tend to break my skin out, I was told that Clinique products are "tested to be non-allergenic and non-comedogenic". 2 days after using it, sure enough, break outs on the nose and chin. Stop using and skin is doing well.
When I did use it I really didn't see any color correcting going on. It was hard to blend in my make up and settled in pores and pilled up by the end of the day. Under eye was terrible mess with this as well. It will be going back. Never again.

This is been my go to primer for the past 8-ish years. I never really considered redness as a primary concern for my skin but I wear this primer with hair concealer every day! Worked great on my oil-ly Florida skin and now on my dry Maine winter skin!

I'm get really red especially on hot days. I was a skeptic due to the reviews but it actually works. I followed the instructions another girl posted to rub the primer against your fingertips then apply .

How have I not tried this before? Seriously, having oily skin while living in the south is the worst. This products helps my skin look amazing in the summer.

They key to this primer is rubbing it between your fingertips for a few seconds to warm it before applying to your face. It gets nice and creamy and blends into the skin easily without clumping. I was dissatisfied initially because it was clumpy and seemed to roll off my skin or get patchy. I went to return it and the Clinique rep at Ulta showed me the secret. She also told me to apply it to the face using a firm sweeping motion and then use my fingers to lightly press it into my pores. I decided to keep it, and this technique has worked well for me. Although I still don't totally love it. It always seems to wear thin on my nose by the end of the day. I wear it under the even better foundation and finish with loose setting powder.

I have oily/combination skin and with that comes large pores. My makeup likes to settle into my pores and it's just not pretty, but when I use this primer it's amazing how good my makeup looks. I've tried other primers in the past, but they all left me oily... this is the only one I've tried that looks flawless and helps to keep the oils down. Plus it helps reduce redness and that's definitely a plus.

I was looking for a primer to both reduce redness and keep my double wear foundation on throughout the work day. I tried this as a sample and absolutely love it! It's super easy to blend in, dries quickly so you can apply your foundation, and truly keeps my make up on all day. I've noticed a huge difference in the appearance of redness as well. This product has not caused any break outs for me, works well with Estée Lauder's double wear foundation for a smooth finish. Definitely will purchase when my sample runs out!

Whenever I use this it comes out chunky and does not want to spread smoothly. It becomes clumpy and makes my foundation clump up. Not smooth at all. It confuses me because idk whether this particular tube I got was detected or maybe it's just my skin type (combo). I don't know just didn't work at all for me! I love Clinique though. I was very surprised.

I wanted to love this primer so I continuously used it for a week or so to give it a chance. But it's not for me. I'm noticing I've been breaking out on my chin and forehead where I applied it to reduce redness. It also feels thick and rolls off the skin, although I have very dry skin. But maybe it will work for you! I always give things a try at least once.

I was skeptical because of some of the bad reviews on here.. but I fell in love. I have issues with redness on my face and always have. It makes me very self conscious. I went into my local Ulta and the lady caked this stuff on my face and then put some foundation on top. I got to the car and looked in the mirror after I purchased the duo (primer and foundation) and almost went inside to return it. I'm glad I didn't. When using this my suggestion is to use sparingly. A little goes a long way.

Still trying to get the hang of application. Product ends up feeling gritty as I apply it, and I have rosacea so felt like it could irritate my skin breakouts.

This product goes on smooth, and blends well. However it doesn't stay on long term. I have VERY red, oily, sensitive skin that causes me to wear full coverage foundation. This product doesn't calm my redness down well, and it melts off my face overtime due to how oily my skin is.

This product feels chalky coming out of the tube, and does not apply evenly or smoothly. It immediately caked up into little yellow specks, that I then had to scrub off with a washcloth, making my face even more red. Will definitely be returning today.

I was going to buy the redness correcting powder. The Ulta sales person said this was even better. I took her word for it as she was the expert. I had tried a sample of the corrective powder on my arm. It seemed great but again I took the Ulta rep's. This has no coverage @ all & rolls up in little yellow balls every where I put it. It's thick & clumpy right out of the tube it almost looks like it's out of date.
