Most Helpful Positive Review Does its job So the shampoo definitely does what it was made to do. The violet does a very good job and left my hair a vibrant silver/platinum, especially with the use of the conditioner. Probably the best outcome I've ever had with violet shampoos. I'll definitely be continuing to buy it. Two small complaints: Shampoo made my hair so hard and feeling like straw that I couldn't rinse it out properly without using some conditioner prematurely. Most people who would use this product probably have highlights or straight up bleached hair, so it would be nice if it was more conditioning. Though the conditioner did make up for it in the end. Second thing, the pump doesn't work all that well and I had shampoo coming out of the base of it. It would be nice if Pacifica just kept to the bottles, as I've had some bad luck with their products that have pumps on them lol
Most Helpful Critical Review This Product is Unusable The concept of this product is great. However, upon my first experience "trying" to use it, I was quite disappointed. First of all, the pump does not work at all. I pumped and pumped and pumped until finally I gave up and unscrewed the lid. What I found inside was a giant purple glob. No wonder the pump doesn't work, it's so thick that I can't even pour a small amount into my hand. Think the slime from Ghostbusters but purple. While it does lather up nicely once you finally get some out and the conditioner is thinner and useable, the shampoo itself is absolutely worthless because you can't get it out of the container. If you have the patience to deal with that, then the shampoo itself is nice, but it just doesn't work for me.

In terms of the outcome, I'm super pleased! My hair looks and feels great, and doesn't get greasy too quickly. This is saying something because I have fine think blonde hair. The only complaint I have is that the consistency is so watery it's hard to control and apply evenly without multiple pumps/applications.

This shampoo is super vibrant and definitely tones a little but, but it's really liquidy, which makes it hard to get enough to lather all over, and it's SUPER messy. You'll definitely have to clean your shower after. Because it's so watery it's also pretty drying, so I'll never be able to skip conditioning if I'm in a hurry like I would be able to with other shampoos. It does smell good though and it does do some toning, which is why I'm giving it three stars.

It honestly serves it's purpose and my hair color is great!! Perfect for people who don't like strong smells. I also would not use more than twice a week bc it really dries out your hair

So I have tried other products similar and left them on for 20+ minutes and my hair was still brassy. So naturally when I tried this product for the first time I left it in a couple minutes longer than directed...guess who had purple grey steaks!!! It actually looked pretty cool though. Now I use as directed a couple times a week and it does a great job. The smell is nice, love the orange and my hair feels soft. I was honestly surprised at how great this stuff is.

It is indeed an unusual scent, however I am aware that natural perfumes/scents are often unexpected and can take time to get used to. I'd recommend a deeper coconut/vanilla scent maybe.

I have been using purple shampoos and conditioners consistently for 15 years and the Pacifica brand absolutely takes the cake on this one! Not only are the Sunshine Highs products ridiculously affordable, but they truly tone the hair exactly as promised. In fact, I'd warn those who arent used to using toning shampoos to start with only a small amount so that they dont overtone. I leave the shampoo on while i wash my body and the conditioner on while i wash my face, so about 3-5 minutes each. PLEASE NEVER DISCONTINUE THIS PRODUCT!

This is probably the best purple shampoo I have tried. I have L'anza and Matrix right now. This Pacifica shampoo gives me more noticeable results than I've seen from those other purple shampoos. I have used it twice now and leave it in my hair for a few minutes before rinsing and I really like the tone it gave my slightly brassy blonde. It is a bit drying so I just follow with a good conditioner and my hair gets soft again right away. But my other purple shampoos also make my hair feel like that after I use them. I plan on also ordering the conditioner.

Just got this today and used it, along with the conditionER. The shampoo feels amazing. I admit the purple color gave me a freak out moment but that is part of what makes this great. My hair felt so soft and was so shiny after it dried. Subtle highlights that will be amazing in the sun.

This stuff SAVED my color when the manic panic toner wasn't working. Manic Panic wasn't changing anything at all, so I mixed a little of this in, and it worked. It pulled out a lot of brass in my hair. I use it twice a week. I love the smell and the bottle is really cute.

I love this shampoo and it does a great job taking care of the brassy tones in my hair. I use it every 3 showers and my coconut shampoo from Pacifica the rest of the time because this shampoo does it's job well. The only issue I have is the packaging. It was a pain in the butt trying to pump the shampoo out. My solution was to just transfer to an empty Pacifica container I had and now I'm good.
Great shampoo and I highly recommend to any blonde, natural or dyed, who needs to take care of those brassy tones. Side note: it does get purple all over the place but is easy to scrub away. Oh, and don't use too often because it can dry out your hair, even with the conditioner. I recommend rotating between this and another shampoo.

As a blonde & a professional cosmetologist who only used natural & cruelty free products, I have to say this is by far the BEST purple shampoo I have ever used! Super pigmented, and just after one use has already toned my blonde. It didn't dry my hair like some "professional" shampoos and conditioners I have used. My hair is super hydrated and way less brassy. Absolutely obsessed!
