Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Face Lotion

2.5 oz Item 2267201

High performance, water resistant sunscreen, isuitable for all skin types, CeraVe Sunscreen is perfect for daily use on even the most sensitive skin.

Developed with dermatologists, CeraVe Sunscreen for Face is like no other sunscreen you've ever experienced. Enjoy powerful protection from the same zinc oxide trusted by lifeguards and dermatologists, now in a new lightweight formula that spreads easily and dries with a clear finish.

  • Ceramides help repair and restore the protective skin barrier.
  • Niacinamide helps the skin produce more natural ceramides and fatty acids essential for repairing and restoring the skin barrier. May also reduce skin redness.
  • Hyaluronic acid attracts moisture to the top layer of the skin.
  • High performance, water resistant sunscreen, suitable for all skin types, CeraVe Sunscreen is perfect for daily use on even the most sensitive skin.

Invisible Zinc technology uses a revolutionary naturally sourced micro-fine zinc oxide to deliver its unique dry, clear finish for powerful protection from the sun¿s damaging rays.

Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure.

Reapply:
  • After 40 minutes of swimming or sweating
  • Immediately after towel drying
  • At least every 2 hours
  • Children under 6 months: Ask a doctor

Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including:
  • Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
  • Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.

      Love, love love!

Comments about CeraVe Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Face Lotion:

I really wanted a face moisturizer with sunscreen that used natural active ingredients. It's super lightweight for a zinc oxide formula and as long as you don't use too much and rub it in it won't leave your skin white. I saw some comments about it making some people's skin burn. If you're using an acne product that dries out your skin and makes it sensitive yeah this might make your skin burn momentarily, but so will literally everything else you put on your face.

Comments about CeraVe Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Face Lotion:

I was looking for an inexpensive alternative to the pricier First Aid Beauty mineral sunscreen I use every day. I am allergic to avobenzone/oxybenzone (chemical sunscreens) so anytime I find one without it, I give it a try. This one is well-priced and light, and the odd smell when it's wet dissipates once it's dry. However, I have very fair skin so usually I don't have issues with the white cast from the zinc but this one made me look like a corpse! Maybe I'll use at the beach, or hiking, or I guess I could try to put make up over it? But by itself, it's just too chalky for everyday.

        • When I use this I do not need a primer!

Comments about CeraVe Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Face Lotion:

I found out about Cerave products from my dermatologist about ten years ago. I use several of their products and really like the line. I tried many other skincare products from drugstore to luxury for skincare and always came back to this line for face wash, sunscreen, and a few other products that are part of my skincare routine in addition to another good brand not sold at Ulta (fingers crossed they will have it soon) DE. I find this to be a nice spreadable product that absorbs well into my skin, has replaced the need for a primer, does not dry out my sensitive skin and even though there is a slight odor, it dissipates fairly quickly unlike some other products. This product is not tacky or sticky. I do not have a white cast and I have no flashback in photos. I highly recommend this product. I have light/med skin with neutral undertones and blue/gray eyes with light hair (if that helps). This products does not break me out and plays well with others!

So happy to see Ulta carry this product in their stores. I am allergic to regular sunscreen, so finding Cerave with zinc oxide and titanium oxide for face and body was a highlight of the summer sunny season! Very reasonably priced when compared to many other brands.

Comments about CeraVe Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Face Lotion:

I prefer mineral sunscreens for my face and hands. I wear sunscreen year round. Most chemical sunscreens seem to discolor my clothing, and I'm never sure how many hours they remain effective. I've had good luck with mineral sunscreens preventing sun burn for longer time periods, and I believe they may be safer for daily use.

I use Cerave's Invisible Zinc on my hands, throat, ears, and around the edges of my face. On the center of my face I use a tinted mineral sunscreen like IT Cosmetics CC Cream, Hydropeptide, Elta, or other expensive ones.

I've repurchased Cerave a few times now and will stock up whenever there's any kind of sale. The price is reasonable; the formula doesn't cause my occasionally acne prone combination skin to break out; and the protection seems to last very well. There's no fancy scent or gimmick, which suits me perfectly. I love that the basic protection is so straightforward.

I have occasionally blended Cerave with a drop of my foundation or IT Cosmetics CC cream for a my-skin-but-better look. It works just fine.

I must have had some kind of reaction. Which is weird cause I have never experience this with any other products I have used. My cheeks got the worst of it! The next morning I woke up to red, swollen, and burning cheeks. I was not able to wear anything on my face including a moisturizer for the next three days. It was horrible! I will never buy Cerave again.
