Most Helpful Positive Review A MIRACLE PRODUCT! I am a religious self tanner but a huge downside of self tanning at least once a week is unwanted build up of old product that is SO difficult to scrub off. Oftentimes I get lazy and apply a new tan over my old, fading one, which result in a perfect application. In situations where I do not require a self tan for the upcoming week, I will skip tanning and let my tan fade naturally; although, it is typically desirable for me to be tanned once a week because it makes me feel better about myself. I have now discovered a product that allows me to tan myself once a week with no old tan under my newly applied tan. I love this product. It works like an absolute miracle. I tanned myself a week ago exactly and was struggling to remove my tan but absolutely had to apply a fresh tan tomorrow due to a family emergency. Because of this, I bought this product on a whim today expecting minimal, unshocking results. The bottle says three days will be required to see results but to my surpise, all of my tan came off within minutes of washing this product off of my skin with a washcloth ONE time. Not three times like the bottle claims. I fell in love immediately. I will disagree with the below review that claims this product pulls tanner off without a washcloth because it will not remove product without some sort of exfoliation mitt, washcloth, loofah, etc. It is unreasonable to expect any product no matter how expensive to melt your tan off completely without having to put in some effort. However, this product delivers amazing results with minimal effort. Some sort of scrubbing device will be required but it is not necessary to scrub hard. After applying this product and allowing it to sit for the required amount of time will dissolve the tan on your body and all you have to do is wash your body regularly for it to come off. I 100% recommend this product. I have found a new favorite and I will never stress again over not being able to get my tanner off.
Most Helpful Critical Review eh I liked the color this gave me, but it stains everything pink and doesn't come out. It was a bit too watery for me, but smells nice. I won't buy again due to how much it stains. I've used others that have stained stuff but comes out in the wash. This one doesn't.

I had done self tan and when i woke up it was so splotchy. I tried to exfoliate and it wasn't coming off. Than I bought this and it literally took everything off so easily. I had it on for 5 minutes and it woke perfectly. One of my favorite buys.
Not for Spary Tan Removal 1
Alex from Iowa
Sales associate assured me it would remove spray tan. This is not what I experienced, it didn't do anything.
Works like a charm! 5

I was hesitant, but this stuff works great! I spray tan every one to two weeks and needed something to remove the residual between tans. As long as you follow the instructions EXACTLY as listed, it works perfectly!!
Unexpectedly Good! 5

I did what the instructions did, and put it on my patchy self tanned legs for 5 minutes before I showered. I put it on liberally on places that had tan build up like on my ankles/feet. Once my timer was up, I scrubbed my legs with a loofah in the shower and most of the self tanner was out. A tiny bit is left over but it is no longer patchy and the build up is gone. Great canvas to start over! Don't underestimate ulta beauty products!
100% worth the buy!!! 5

This stuff worked great!! I had two layers of bondi sands ultra dark on my whole body and typically I wouldn't be able to get it off until 10 days post application, but with this, I was able to remove it ALL after 6 days!!! Seriously amazing because bondi sands lasts forever on me! Lol. I just applied extra remover to the areas that were darker or that I know are typically harder for me to remove tan from. Love it!
What I needed! 5

This product works great! I hate having to wait out a splotchy worn off tan. But this takes off the build up really well. I can usually get it all off in one appreciation.
Works better then expected 4

I've never tried anything like this so I figured I try the Ulta brand vs the more expensive st. Tropez. It didn't irritate my skin, any lots of stuff does. It worked pretty well. I wouldn't say it got rid of everything but it definitely faded it and really helped even everything out .
This takes several applications to work 3

I am applying self tanner at least twice a week. For some reason, the tan always builds up on my neck and looks to patchy and bad. I decided to try this out to see if it would help, AND IT DID! It got all of the extra build up off without ruining all of the self tanner on my neck. It smoothed it out completely and I am so so happy that I ordered this!
Works Great!!!!! 5

I recently ordered tan ceuticals cc+ sunless tanning lotion and it works great but is EXTREMELY hard to remove. I soaked and used an exfoliating mitt to before and still had trouble. With this product I just applied let it set for ten minutes and lightly scrubbed it right off. So happy I discovered this product. It works really great for removing stubborn self tan.

I have been doing self tanner during quarantine to pretend I'm on a trip.. and have been experimenting so I had quite a bit of buildup on my skin. This is perfect to remove that buildup and just tanning mistakes. Follow the directions! Best way to use this is before you tan. You need to put it on your dry body stand around for a few minutes. Get in the shower but try not to go under the water, take a face cloth and use it to rub off the tan. When your done it's a 2 in one, you will have exfoliated and got rid of your tan residue/buildup. It removed it perfectly! For the price and size of the bottle it's amazing! It didn't irritate or dry out my skin and I even rubbing it on my hands after tanning when my fingers were stained and it came right off.
Loved it 5

I loved this product. It definitely helps take off any self tanner left over to help completely reapply a new coat!

Apply to areas you want any fake tan removed. Let sit for like 5 min and enter warm shower. Then in circles remove affected areas with DAMP cloth
the best product i've ever used 5
allison from denver, Colorado
i had put on fake tan the DAY before i used this product. my tan was so dark and dirty looking and streaky. i looked so unfortunate. i rubbed a very generous amount of the ulta beauty tan remover allllll over me and waited about 15 minutes before getting in the shower. i usually spend hours in the shower trying to get fake tan off to only rub a small percentage of it off. when i got in the shower with this tan remover it was like magic. i definitely had to scrub pretty hard, but it saved me about 2-3 hours in the shower. it took my tan completely off like i hadn't even put it in the day before. i also think that this stuff can help smooth your tan and smooth streaks without rubbing it completely off if you wait less time before you get in the shower and don't scrub so vigorously. i never write reviewed for products but this was such a life saver and the best purchase i've ever made especially for the PRICE. honestly shoutout to ulta for this idk what i would've done without it.. THANK YOU!!!!

Not to be confused with 'tanning mousse' 5
The Bad Vegan from Vancouver, WA
Mistakenly bought this because my regular St. Moriz Tanning Mousse was out of stock on the shelf. And up one shelf was what I thought read, 'Fast Start Self Tanning Fading Mousse' - as in, misreading a clear label was done on my part (sometimes in all aspects of my life) and my sense of direction following became non-existent much like my tan was about to be. Well, I thought "Hey! Might as well give ULTA a chance.", as there was also a B1G1 forty percent off if I bought the mitt too. It was the same price as Moriz but the bottle is 8.0 oz instead of 6.7. So off I go, without reading the very last line of fine print on the label. Remover. Self-tan r e m o v e r . Sigh. Did I even think this was an invention? No. Did I have horrifyingly pale legs and arms after applying and heading into work? Yes. Was I confused as he L L for a solid 10 hours as to why the ULTA brand mousse was just not doing anything bronze-y or pretty? yeah, so this is SELF TAN REMOVER. Not to be confused with actual tanning mousse. The stuff works.
This works! 4

I bought this because my husband put his hand in spilled self tanning drops and this helped take it off! It did take some scrubbing and didn't totally take it away but it was an extremely dark sport and it faded dramatically.
the good reviews are real! It works! 5

It definitely worked for removing my self tanner, I was really really impressed, it saved me at least an hour and a half of soaking and scrubbing. You definitely still have to scrub pretty hard, but it really makes a difference. It got 100% of my tan off of my skin EVEN MY ELBOWS!!! Which probably haven't been self tan free in like a year! Just apply a lot and leave it on for as long as you can (10 minutes minimum probably) then shower n scrub. The price is awesome too!

Was very skeptical alt first but this stuff really works! A bit messy but will definitely purchase again. Took 90% of my tan off first go around! No weird smell. No fuss. A must try!
Must have! 5
panda from atlanta
if you are a regular self tanner this stuff is a must have. Ive already went through 2 bottles. Just follow the instructions l, wait 5 minutes, get you a good exfoliating cloth or mitts, and rub it off. It's not perfect but it dang sure removes about 95% depending on how old your self tan is. I was a little sensitive to it at first but as I've been using it more it seems to not bother me as much. It wasn't anything terrible. just a little tingling and it probably had alot to do with shaving as well. anyways, you must have this stuff if you are a regular self tanner!
awesome product 5

I bought this product because I am new to self-tanning. I had streaks on my arms and my face was a little darker than what I had liked. This product took the mistakes within seconds. I literally just used one pump for my arms and hands.
LIFESAVER! 5

After CRYING over a blotchy spray tan two days before my vacay to the beach, I ran to see what I could find at Ulta. After just 5 minutes I was evened out and still a little tan (but in a good way). I tried to do it the night I got the spray tan but no luck. Then I tried after 24 hours and definitely saw results. With some patience and INTENSE scrubbing with a wash cloth, I don't feel embarrassed anymore!
Finally a self tan remover that works!! 5

I used to use the Bondi Sands tan remover that kind of worked on occasion, but this is amazing!! I couldn't believe it. I bought it on a whim because it was a reasonable price, but I kept my expectations low. This took of ALL of my tan that was 3 days old. I rubbed it in everywhere and left it on for maybe 10 minutes, then showered and used a loofah to help get it off. It was super easy and quick! I don't get a weird rash from this either unlike the Bondi Sands tan remover which is a plus. Will be buying again and again
Self-tanning must have! 5
Pandanator from Seymour, IN
I applied self tanner a few days ago and noticed it didn't take to all parts of my body (some were tan, others pasty white). I purchased this and couldn't be happier/more grateful! The bottle recommends at least 5 minutes but I suggest 10-15. And make sure you use a WASHCLOTH as the bottle states. I tried it with my exfoliating gloves and it didn't really do well (I had tested it on my arm first). Then I tried applying all over to remove all of my fake tan, used warm water and a washcloth to gently wipe away the tan. I could see it going down the drain, and that told me it was working! Now I'm back to pasty white again (time for a new tan!)
