Most Helpful Positive Review Amazing brush
So I've been using this straightening brush for about six months now and words cannot express how truly awesome it is. It used to take me about an hour to straighten my thick/long/crazy hair with a regular iron..this thingy cuts it down to about a third of that. Plus it won't flatten it pin straight so I get to keep all my sassy volume.
Most Helpful Critical Review decent, but not for all hairtypes
I received this product to test for free to test and review. I have naturally curly hair- type 3A/B curls that are fine and thin as well as frizz prone. I waited for a day to try this product where it wasn't super hot to cause me to sweat..because straightening curly hair when it is hot and/or humid is truly impossible.
So to begin, I let my hair air dry with no products in it. I am used to a straightener, so it took a little getting used to this brush. I learned quickly that I had to brush my hair first, in order to avoid knots with the straightening brush. I don't really like to brush my hair when it's dry, because it can damage the curls. Anyways, since my hair is thin and curly- but not coarse, I tried to test out different temperatures. I eventually went with a higher temperature. The best way to use this brush, is not like a brush at all. You have to hold your hair taunt, and slowly pull the brush through from roots to ends from underneath. It took me several times each section of hair to straighten it. My hair did straighten, but it did frizz a lot and after 20 minutes, it started to curl up.
Overall, I think it that's a new and interesting concept, but it just did not execute well with my hair type. It may work for wavy-straight hair but I need that extra clamp that a straightener provides. Compared to other brands and tools, it's a cool idea but I still prefer my straightener. I probably would not buy this product for me. Maybe for my mom who has straight hair though. I would not recommend this brush to people with curly hair- especially 3a-4c curls and people with coarse hair. This may work for already straight hair as a touch up.

I bought this for my 17 granddaughter. She has course and curly hair. She loves this brush!! Much easier for her to use rather than a flat straighter. Yes I would definitely buy it againm
Smoothes Quickly and Lastingly

My very favorite hair smoothing device,
I have thick frizzy hair and therefore own all kinds of flatirons, curling irons and hot brushes.
This is affordable and quick to use. 😊
So very worth it

I'll be honest - I never expected this to work as well as it does. I cannot believe I waited this long to buy.

I have wavy hair and this is a great tool for quickly straightening it. It will not do exactly what a straightener does, but can give me similar results in half the time.
Leaves hair silky

Wanted to really love this

I really wanted to love this brush. I have the original InStyler round rotating brush and love it. This brush heats up quickly and holds the temperature well, but the cord is so short, that I had to plug it into an extension cord to get full range. even with detangling my hair with each section, and only straightening small sections at a time, it still pulled my hair. I did end up returning it.
Definitely buy & recommend

LOVE this brush! My hair is long and sometimes wavy underneath after sleeping on it. This is fast & easy to use. I'm buying one for my 22 yr old granddaughter!

I'm usually way too lazy to write reviews but i really had to with this. I have long ( midback) length very thick curly hair. In 5 min, i can go from rat's nest to sleek. Even letting it dry naturally, making for curls like Slash from guns & roses, i just split it into 4-5 sections and it's quickly straight. I do always use a heat protectant. I can even add direction, like curling under, or waves. It's a little tricky with shorter pieces

I decided to try this out on my frizzy curly hair. Worked great for 2 weeks and now if it turns on it turns off immediately. A huge waste of money.
I will let others know about this fantastic product.

Love this brush
Bets from Florida
Have very thick hair and don't always have the time to create enough sections for the flat iron. The brush makes it so much easier and faster. Helps fight the Florida humidity and the pony bump from sleeping with my hair up overnight.

I love this brush so much, that I bought one for my daughter for her birthday. She tried mine and loved it. I decided that it would be the perfect gift for her. 😁👍
I wouldn't buy this again

I use this product to straighten my hair and it's amazing.
I'm still not sure what to think of this after 6 months
J from Florida
I have had this for 6 months and I'm still not sure if I like it. I have lots of hair. My hair is fine and curly. So first I will say the pros: It works on my hair as well as a flat iron in half the time or even less. It is a very fast process. It is lighter to hold than a blow dryer and round brush and way less work than a flat iron. My hair is not frizzy from this and it doesn't leave my hair looking limp like a flat iron. But for whatever reason I just don't like this item. I am not really sure why. I don't like the color white with the purple. I just don't find it visually appealing. I think if I thought it was more attractive I would like it more. I also just worry about hair damage. I just don't know How much this is or isn't damaging my hair. Like with a flat iron I know how damaged my hair became with it constantly breaking off at the ends and never growing because of that.... but with this I'm assuming it damages it less. But I really just don't know in what ways it is damaging my hair because I'm still new to using it. I am slightly just concerned about the unknown damage and what frequent use will look like. My ends are very limp looking but that is probably from bleaching / past damage but I just don't know. It could be from pulling it through my hair. You do have to brush your hair really well before using it and sometimes my hair still gets stuck in it and it pulls. If your heat protectant makes your hair stick together it's going to be an issue. Your hair needs to be completely detangled before use. One time I used a decent amount of product before straightening and the product got stuck all in the "brush" pieces. The inside started smoking I think because of the excess product. It wasn't a big deal but I don't normally put product on before straightening and I do think it could be problematic for someone who puts a lot on. I DO recommend because it is the easiest way to straighten my hair and the results are better than other methods I've tried
It's okay but not for me
Miriam from Pearland, TX
I bought this because I really like my other InStyler tools and because I need something other than a flat iron to do my hair. The brush itself heats up quickly, stays hot, and didn't burn my hands or scalp. All good points. Unfortunately, even with combing my hair beforehand, using small sections, and making sure my hair was taut, my hair still got tangled in places and some hairs were pulled out when they were caught in the edges of the brush. I'm really disappointed because I want to like this, but it's just not working with my hair.
I would recommend this product!
arizona joy from florida
This product really works for me. I have short hair so I use it like a regular brush and it smooths away the frizzies. I feel no heat or burning on my scalp when I use it this way.
So worth it! Love it.
Lauren from seattle, wa
I got this brush after seeing a youtube review. OMG something that is finally fast at straightening my hair! I have very curly hair and I noticed it works better if you straighten it in larger chunks to gain some tension. I use it at least 3 times a week and its been great :) I recommended it to my friend with curly hair!
I would not buy again
Daniela J from Salt Lake City Utah
It works yes
It heats up fast and it will straighten your hair
Now having said that you must section hair out and
Comb through your hair , before using ....
it's good just not impressed with it
I love the blow dryer brush better
So Good I threw away my other straighteners!

I like the multi-select temperature based on hair type, I love how quick it warms up. I absolutely love how easy it was and how quick it finished my hair. The cool touch on the back of the brush is great to keep on the counter, and it is small enough to travel with.
Beebe from Phoenix AZ
This product would be great for someone who has thick hair. Think hair the brush hurts the head its bristles are firm and and made solid.
Greatest Product for frizzy hair

No do not buy this product
Very disappointed customer from Ohio
This product does not work unless your hair is already straight and when you complain to the company they refuse to give you a refund
Works great on "my" curly hair!
Curly haired Susan from SC
Designed to separate hair and brush thru slowly to straighten hair but with this instyler, if you are in hurry, you can brush your hair and "almost" achieve same results. I love it!
