Comments about Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer:

I have highly sensitive skin and get irritated easily. I needed a new primer and was looking into this one. I loved how it looked when I applied it. It gave a beautiful natural glow and looked amazing on a foundation. It stayed on all day. The only problem was it does come of slightly glittery. One day after wearing it I had awful cystic acne all over my face the next day. I used the same foundation and face makeup I usually use and none of those cause me to break out. I tried it again the next day just to be sure and my breakout was worse. I wanted to love this primer so much. It made my foundation look beautiful. It is perfect if you have dry-combo skin. If your skin isn't sensitive I would totally recommend. But if you have hyper-sensitive skin like me then I wouldn't. Other than that it is still a great primer.

Comments about Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer:

Wish I would have read the reviews first. I saw a YouTube review and they said no glitter, but it does! Don't mind it on my eyes but not all over my face. It would be pretty and perfect if it didn't have the glitter. So bummed!

Dupe definetly

By Serena M.

from Sacramento, CA

Comments about Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer:

I bought this because I heard it was a dupe for becca and it totally is only difference is its slightly less yellow and the smell. People are saying it has glitter when blended out and that beccas doesnt? But seriously swatch em next to eachother, put them on the face the becca has glitter/shimmer or whatever you call it its no different and this ones like a 1/4 of the price.

Whoa, nelly!

By Lilasiris

Comments about Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer:

Where this went wrong is the glitter. If they hadn't added the small glitter particles this would be a spot on dupe for Becca SSP liquid. I stay indoors all day--for the most part, so I am not worried about the sunlight reflecting the glitter and looking all sparkly.

Beautiful glow and zero glitter

By Sweetsie

from Nashville, TN

Comments about Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer:

I don't understand how this gorgeous primer could get negative reviews. After I purchased it, I swatched it next to my Becca Blacklight primer. They are identical, even down to the frosted bottle. Absolutely leaves a beautiful, lit from within glow, and no glitter. I will be buying backups.

glitter!

Comments about Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer:

Take this with a grain of salt, I never even put this on my face. I bought it, got into my car to swatch it (my ulta didn't have a tester of this) and all I saw was glitter..everywhere. There's no way I would wear this on my face.

Not a high end dupe but works. Wish there was no glitter!

By KayFlowers

from Towson, MD

Comments about Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer:

I have combination (oily with dry patches), acne prone skin & early signs of aging. Illuminating primers are my godsend because I get very little sleep, and when I heard that this was a dupe for the b ecca shimmering primer I had to try it because that is my holy grail!
Unfortunately, I don't think this is a dupe because this adds a ton of glitter to your face, unlike the high end one which only adds a natural-looking glimmering effect without any obvious glitter.
Still, this is a nice product though, especially if you have subtle skin since the glitter clings to wrinkles /dryness. Also the unflattering glitter isn't honestly that noticeable unless you're looking very closely or in need of a foundation touch-up. From far away, you can't even see the glitter & it looks natural like the high end primer does.
So, it's not a terrible product. I just don't think it's universally flattering like the high end primer and therefore shouldn't be called a "dupe" because the glitter in this clings to dry patches & fine lines, and only looks lovely on the subtle-areas of my face (aka cheeks.) On the other hand, my illuminating primer from b ecca looks great on my entire face 100% of the time without fail.
Nonetheless, I am going to continue buying this product as a cheaper alternative to my high-end illuminating primers for relaxed days at home/work since I have the extra time to work my makeup (I find baking with this primer helps remove some of the obvious glitter) & don't feel the need to spend major $$$ on makeup for lazier days.

This product is beautiful, it gives a nice glow under my medium coverage foundations, I also like to tap it onto the tops of my cheeks for a more subtle highlight that is NOT GLITTERY!!! many reviews say that there is glitter in this product but i have even looked in a 10× magnifying mirror and seen no sign of glitter.

Comments about Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer:

I really enjoy this primer and it give me such a nice glow under my foundation. Totally recommend and it is a dupe for the Becca Backlight primer. This is such a better price point than the Becca.
