Worked nice as a moisturizer but didn't keep my makeup looking matte and didn't fill pores.

Good but not a miracle worker

Comments about Laura Geller Spackle Treatment Soothing Make-Up Primer:

I have rosacea and this (like all other "correctors") doesn't do anything to help the redness. However, I have extremely sensitive skin and it is not irritating and feels very nice upon the skin. I will continue to use because it's an overall good primer just don't expect it to get rid of your redness.

I love this primer. Use it everyday. My concealer isn't "cakey" and the primer prevents it from settling into fine lines.

Comments about Laura Geller Spackle Treatment Soothing Make-Up Primer:

I bought this primer because my cheeks and chin can get pretty red. When I put concealer on, the places ny face are red show a line of where my concealer stops. I don't like wearing foundation. I do have rosacea but not as bad as I used to. When I apply this primer it takes down the redness significantly. Not completely but enough that my concealer blends fine and foundation would completely cover. This primer is also moisturizing and dries down well, not sticky. I would recommend this primer. Not many products actually take away most of the redness rather than just mask it.

Comments about Laura Geller Spackle Treatment Soothing Make-Up Primer:

I have pretty severe rosacea, that color correcting does not help and a lot of primers irritate. Along with the rosacea, my skin tends to be fairly dry, so this primer helps that out. The green doesn't do much for my redness, but I will say the primer is soothing and doesn't irritate my skin and moisturizes well.

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

This primer will slightly reduce to appearance of pores. It does a great job at filling in pores, acne scars, and lines, however it's main goal is to hold your makeup on to keep it looking fresh throughout the day. It also is a color corrector because the green shade eliminated redness. We do have a Spackle that is a true pore reducer, its called Spackle Mattifying. If that is something that you would really like out of your primer, I would choose the Mattifying. Please see the link below!

              • Q:

I have extremely intense red sensitive skin. I've different products like this but some have very strong fragrances that irritate my skin and I can't seem to find anything that truly covers my severe, severe redness. Will this product help? I try to use as little products as I can so I don't irritate my skin too much, so can I use just this and a bb cream/light foundation??
Asked on 3/30/2017 by Beauty from Burbank, CA

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

Absolutely! This product is made for THE most sensitive skin and is loaded with botanicals, antioxidants, and other skin loving ingredients. The fact that it is green means that it will color correct. You will instantly see your redness majorly tone down as soon as you apply. It does not cover redness completely, but it will tone it down to the point where you will not need to use as much foundation. This Spackle seems like it's the perfect choice for you. Enjoy!

Would this product work if I have severe redness?

                1 answer

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

Yes! This is the perfect primer to choose if you wish to combat redness. First off, it is a green primer, and anything green on the cosmetics color wheel counteracts redness. You will notice an immediate difference once you apply this primer. Secondly, it is made with ingredients that will soothe the most sensitive skin like Chamomile Flower Water, Avocado and Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera, Which Hazel Extract, Argan Oil, Vitamin C&E, and Calendula Flower Extract. Your skin is going to feel amazing, and the redness may even lessen after a couple weeks use. Enjoy!

                  A:

There is no SPF in this particular primer, however we do make one that contains SPF 30. I always start my day with moisturizer, and then Spackle SPF 30, and then my makeup. Or I wear moisturizer that has SPF in it, and I'll use a different Spackle. It's totally ok to change up the routine as you desire. Enjoy!
