SlickPour Kit

By Juleepo

from Ma.

Comments about Young Nails SlickPour:

it's easy to use after a few try, watching the video helps with the basic understanding in what to do.
*best results* is base polish, pour the powder all over the nail and just dust around the nail (do one or two at a time), then cure. remove extra powder on the nail after and I like to buff down the ruff spots before adding another layers.... after the third layer and buff smooth, I add top coat and cure.
love the color, and I do glue on extended nail (trim and pre-file to size and shape) before using slickpour.

A combo of gel and acrylic nails

By Eyeshadowgirl

from Seattle

Comments about Young Nails SlickPour:

I use the gel base and gel top coat with these powders and it lasts about 2 weeks. It took a while to get the hang of doing all of the steps but I think I finally have it down. The colors turn out much darker than they look in the little container.

Comments about Young Nails SlickPour:

This should be used by professionals because this is the same as using dip powder. However licensed professionals can use this with YN Acrylic Monomer which is better because it lasts longer.

    Comments about Young Nails SlickPour:

I loved the idea of the powder coat polish. When I applied it I loved the color and the shine. It is much shiner that regular gel polish. It come out about at shiny as acrylic nails which I loved BUT it kept popping off. The first time I it happened I figured I had done something wrong so I gave it another try. Nope, same thing happened again. I don't even know where I lost a few of them. I looked down and the entire nail was completely gone. Once I was washing my hands and looked down and a nail was gone. Bottom line I love the idea but it just doesn't stay more that 2 days.

Bought a couple to use as a test product. This product is amazing. The description is true to word, a Powder. It's amazing that with three thin (is in) coats you have a beautiful, shaped, smooth nail. Stays on three weeks, no lifting, no cracking, no chipping, awesome shine! Thank you YN for again, another amazing product.

          Comments about Young Nails SlickPour:

So this product has a great concept. Seems easy to use but in reality most lighter colors need 2+ coats to look opaque and not streaky. However the more coats you apply the thicker your nails become (not in a good way). They tell you to file your nail after apply the color before you apply the top coat. File will reduce the thickness and create a more nature nail shape but doing this will also remove the the opaqueness of your polish. All in all I have tried many many times to figure out the best application and nothing has worked. Darker colors can get away with one coat of the color powder instead of the recommended two coats. I've had better luck with darker colors. As for the top coat, you can't apply too much or it will SOMEHOW bleed off your nail and onto your actual cuticles and skin. Use too little and you get this rough not shiny "top coat" because you haven't colored the powder layer underneath. So I'm the end you end up with think nails with polish on your cuticle and skin. If that doesn't bother you, after about a day you'll notice the polish has unstuck itself from your skin or cuticles leaving an edge that gets caught in your hair as your shower. These edges make it extremely easy to just pop a nail. It should be noted that I have tried many times to get this product to work I have 5 different colors ranging from a light pink, sliver glitter, a bright red, a light nude, and a iridescent purple. I have followed all their instructions as well as watched YouTube videos on how others have done it. Id say I can get my nails to look decent about 40% of the time.
I'm all honestly this isn't a HORRIBLE product however I would just recommend a gel polish that is not in powder form. Red carpet nails is a great option for around the same price.
