Most Helpful Positive Review Changed my skin routine for the better!
Although it has a bit of a white cast, after about 5-10 min it soaks in nicely and has a great matte effect. I've been using this for a month now and I find I don't need to wear foundation anymore. The SPF 50 holds up great in dry and hot weather. I'd definitely recommend it! Great value!
Most Helpful Critical Review Terrible
I cannot use chemical sunscreen, so it's nice that mineral options for the face are getting easier to find. However, unlike its claim, this sunscreen does NOT dry clear when using the amount you're supposed to. It gives a severe white cast, does not apply easily or evenly, and stays excessively shiny. After an hour, my face felt itchy and parched. Makeup applies terribly, and once on there's severe settling into lines and pores. I've never looked so cake faced. I tried it for two days, and it broke me out. Maybe my body will like this better, but I'm never putting this on my face again. I'd rather pay more to get an actually decent product.

I gave it a four star just because it does leave a white cast and its not the easiest to blend. I wouldn't recommend it for those with darker skin. But if you're lighter skinned and don't mind some white cast on your face its a good sunscreen and does its job.
Great, affordable sun protection
SunnyD from Los Angeles, CA
This sunblock provides amazing coverage and also soothes my face. No harmful chemicals for our environment is a big plus.
Perfect sunscreen for acne prone skin.

My son was looking for a sunscreen that does not make him break out. He has acne and very oily skin. This is the perfect sunscreen
Hopeful...but didn't work for me.

I really hoped to like this as I've been searching for a sunscreen that I DON'T get a reaction and although this didn't. It's way too thick and hard to blend. It also leave a very white cast that does not go well on a darker skin person. Planning to return.

Unfortunately this sunscreen is extremely thick and does not apply easily onto the skin, the texture is gritty from the zinc and it almost feels like a physical exfoliant. I will not repurchase this product.
Ale from Winston-Salem
I really want to like it but it's really heavy and a little hard to apply, makes my skin feel weak after use it. If you love the dewy look it's for you (it's my case) but if you're more a matte finish I would recommend you to look something else. Despite the above mentioned it's a good protection, no sunburn after a looong day at the beach
If you have dark skin do not buy!
Brit from MD
I would give this product zero stars if I could. I am a black women, MAC NC45 and there is nothing sheer about this suncreen. It feels nice on the skin, I'll give it that but it showed up basically white on my skin. I returned it. If you have darker skin stay away!
Way too much white cast!
Alexsunscreen from Venezuela
I recently bought this sunscreen, and I've been using it for two weeks now, it leaves a white cast, and it smells a bit weird, not going to repurchase.

Excellent. Does what you want it to do, protects , non irritating, waterproof and safe.
Works! With some obstacles to overcome.
Good Genes and Sunscreen from Cambridge, MA
This product requires some "work" to use. Firstly it is very thick however to counteract that, I warm it up in my fingertips beforehand and apply somewhat "thick" dots to my face. I always spread on in upward motions, these steps also provide a grounding experience. It makes putting on sunscreen relaxing. For applying I use soft full finger spreading as opposed to RUBBING.
Secondly, this will leave a WHITE CAST; I don't normally wear foundation because my skin is looking great (in part to this sunscreen I believe), but when I will be out and about, i use the white cast as a highlight! In my experience, the "cast" looks like highlight on certain areas of my skin. I apply the foundation when the sunscreen is still tacky (two minutes after applying) and I am able to blend perfectly. On days when I'm home...I look like a ghost, but Snapchat filters help.
Overall, not an easy slap on and go, but effective.
Maybe just not for me
Bri from Las Vegas
I bought this because I have eczema and this sunscreen has been approved by the NEA, but after using for a few days, I developed a pretty nasty rash that spread all over my chest, neck, and arms. it wasn't painful, but I was covered in textured red splotches and had to cover my skin when going out because I looked gross. Additionally, this sunscreen is very thick and leaves an insane white cast. It also pilled a little bit in some places, which was unfortunate.

This made me look like a GHOST. If it's a face sunscreen at least don't make it so white neutrogena. You can't even go out in public like that.
Zink protection without the color
anonymous from Lansing, NY
The Zink Face Dry-touch sunscreen is thick and looks white coming out of the tube but as it is rubbed in the color disappears. After applied it does not feel sticky but when you rub your face you can tell that it is there (and presumably working!). When washing your hands after applying the sunscreen you'll notice that it takes a bit to remove, which is it's purpose, after all, since it can't protect if it's not there. I wear it when kayaking, where you get sun from the sky and reflected off the water.
Good sun protection

It goes on nicely. Somewhat hard to wash off, but that means it's doing it's job.
too thick and white cast
scorpio from Boise, ID
I have a very light skin tone and the amount of white cast this gives me makes me look like I am wearing a mask. It is so thick I have to tug at my skin and rub in so harshly. The only good thing ab this product is that it doesn't burn my sesitive eyes.

It is not greasy does not rub off yet wonderful mineral protection
Effective but difficult to apply
anonymous from undisclosed
Averaging my experience at 3 stars
5 stars for effectiveness - no sunburn when using this sunscreen
1 star because it's sticky and takes time to apply and rub in well to reduce white cast on skin...maybe just a downside of this type of highly effective sunscreen.
Zinc based sunscreen

It's the first sunscreen I've used that doesn't run and sting your eyes.
Dry Sheer Zinc Face

In the hot weather it is not greasy can wear foundation over it lasts does not rub off.
Too thick to really apply
Kels from GA
Went in very optimistic about this product but unfortunately it's a bit too thick for me. I like to "warm up" mineral sunscreens between my fingers because even though I am light skinned, I do definitely see white cast, and warming it up can help alleviate this issue in my experience.
This product is so thick that it's nearly impossible to do. I'd like to spread sunscreen onto my skin, but it's just too thick to do so - you'd have to pat it into the skin. It generally isn't too streaky on the skin (exception being around your hairline, eyebrows, and contours of your nose - always rub those in a bit more to make sure you aren't getting white streaks around those areas). It also definitely leaves a white cast. It wears fine under makeup, which is great because due to the white cast, I'd never wear it by itself.
I don't hate it enough to return it, so I'll definitely use it all the way through, but I won't be repurchasing.
L Middaugh from Michigan
I like this sunscreen for coverage and ease of use. My only problems with this product is it leaves a white cast on your face, bad. It leaves white flakes in my hairline and sticks to dead skin a lot, so it looks like your face is flaky if you have dead skin there. Once it dries, it seems to leave patches of white. Thankfully I'm using it for outside work, so cosmetics aren't really important to me. Once it goes on, it is very greasy to the touch, so give it a bit to soak in and not feel that way. Otherwise, good product. Not sure if I will repurchase this specific face sunscreen due to those problems.
Love this! But I don't think it's for darker skin
Dylan from USA
I have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin and this sunscreen is perfect for me. It protects from the sun as well as adding hydration. It takes about 3 minutes too massage into my skin to reduce the white cast, and then eventually fully soaks into my skin in about 15 minutes. I am white and pretty pale, so the white cast is not a problem for me, but I definitely don't think it would work on people with darker skin. Which is unfortunate because everyone should have access to the same products. I wanted to inform people with darker skin to not but this because it would probably leave too much of a white cast.
fatima65 from california
the sunscreen got rid of my acne scars and hyperpigmentation!! The ingredient zinc is amazing for reducing acne and treating it. I apply it on my breakouts over night and the next morning you can hardly see them. only downside is that it does leave a white cast and it is thick but if you apply a small amount and rub it good in your palms and pat it gently on your face it is manageable. Definitely recommend trying it if you have oily skin or acne prone
Leyla from Puerto Rico
I used this for three months with foundation drops and loved it BUT Do Not sweat in this. consistency is too thick and resulted in a heat rash
