Most Helpful Positive Review Waterproof, long lasting, easy to apply
This is a semi oil spray. However, it's not the same nails-on-the-chalkboard greasy feeling you get from baby oil. I usually rub in the sunscreen after spraying it to make sure I get complete coverage. After rubbing it in, the oil absorbs nicely into your skin and you don't feel much of the oiliness anymore. It actually gives your skin a pretty glowing golden tone.
I have used this product in many situations. The first was on a level 3 white water rafting trip. My friends brought traditional lotion sunscreen and were rubbing it on themselves like there was no tomorrow. I, however, had my sun bum spray. I finished spraying much faster than they finished rubbing. We got drenched in water many times from head to toe. I could feel the sun's intense heat warming my skin with no clouds to provide cover. After 4 hours of rafting, I had no burns whatsoever. On the other hand, my lotioning friends were complaining about redness on their arms.
I also applied this before I go out and do gardening in the backyard. I'm usually out there 3 hours at a time to pull out weeds or plant new trees. I always sweat a lot. The sweat doesn't wash off the sunscreen because I never get burned. I also applied this before playing basketball. In basketball, I sweat even more. My whole shirt is always drenched. Still, this is not affected. This is truly a resilient sunscreen.
Most Helpful Critical Review Best of the mineral spray sunscreens, but won't repurchase
Before I begin, part of the reason I won't be repurchasing this or any mineral spray sunscreen is because "non-nano" doesn't really mean much. All zinc oxide and titanium dioxide sunscreens are already considered nano-particles based on the definition of the term, including the FDA definition. There is also no industry standard for particle size. They NEED to be broken down to that size to be effective as an SPF (larger/more "white" particles offer better UVA protection, but no one wants to be that white so they have to strike a balance). The issue with any spray mineral sunscreen is that nano particles (which virtually all mineral sunscreens actually contain) can be dangerous when inhaled, which is why a spray mineral sunscreen is a bad idea in general . You can find out more at the Environmental Working Group's site, and if none of this matters to you keep reading to find out my other reasons for not repurchasing (as to why I purchased this to begin with, I only discovered this information after I bought and used it).
Pros: Is the best spray mineral sunscreen I've ever used. The white cast isn't as bad as previous ones I've tried. You don't have to shake it forever to get it to mix. While you do need to vigorously rub it in, it hasn't irritated my skin or triggered my eczema. It doesn't feel heavy no matter how much I put on.
Cons (aside from my intro paragraph): While it dispenses well, it doesn't rub in evenly so you have to really work it in. I've had to use twice as much as normal sunscreen to get the same level of protection (the first time I used it I did get a tan and in areas where the sunscreen didn't fully cover). If it settles and you try to work it in after, I'm pretty sure it just rubs off. It gets trapped in the hair on my arms making the white cast way more obvious there, and if you let it settle before working it in I'm pretty sure it just rubs off. I feel like this would be impossible to put on your back without a helper willing to give you a deep tissue massage for like 10 minutes.
TL;DR - Virtually all mineral sunscreens are nano-particles by default and inhaling them can be dangerous, so it's best to avoid the spray versions. Best of the mineral spray sunscreens I've used and didn't remotely irritate my sensitive, eczema prone skin. Still hard to rub in and gives patchy, and thus unreliable coverage.

I've become really obsessed with sunscreen. I'm always on the hunt for one that isn't bad for you (it is a 0 on the Think Dirty app!!!), limited scent and doesn't have that dry oil feeling. This checked all the boxes for me. I have a tiny complaint and it's that the spray on it is too wide. Meaning when I spray it on my arm, which is narrow, a lot of product is going on either side of my arm. I tried to spray it directly in my hand first but didn't find that helpful. Weird and minor complaint and it wouldn't deter me from buying it again or highly recommending it.
Love the Ethics, Dislike the White Residue

I love everything about this product except that it leaves white residue behind. Definitely will not be using again. ):
Works great but....
Nic from Atlanta
This works great and I love that it's natural. But it's not sheer on dark skin tones. I'm brown skinned (this rubs in clear on me) but my toddler is blessed with rich beautifully dark skin (think Lupita Nyango) and this makes her look "casket ready". We will continue to use this as sun protection is most important, but my search continues for a mineral sunscreen that is truly clear on those with darker skin.
It works, but at what cost

This stuff left streaks on everything, Id apply, let it dry and would still end up with deodorant like white marks on every part of my clothing. You couldn't rub it in enough, using a lighter coat didnt work and my redheaded pasty self was still white and streaky. I cannot imagine having ANY skin tone and using this.
I didnt get sunburned but I couldn't wash out the white marks by hand in a hotel sink which was a bummer since I planned on rotating pieces during my vacation.
High hopes but no
DeeY from CA
This is not friendly to tan skin. I tried to spray a light amount from far away but that doesn't seem to help either. It's very hard to rub in and very drying. It leaves an awful white paint look to the skin and eventually forms a thick paste that's hard to get off. I gave it away. Still on the hunt for a decent spray mineral sunblock.

Babo Botanicals Sheer Zinc Sunscreen Spray Fragrance - SPF 30 - 6.0oz is a light and airy alternative to the traditional lotion sunscreen
It is quick and easy to apply and really protects my daughter and myself from the harmful UV rays. This product is fragrance free, which I really like since I mostly use it om my 2 year old.
Mommypj19 from TX
I am glad I was given a chance to try this product because it feels really good in my kids and my skin. My kids normally complain when I apply them the sunscreen lotion because it's greasy but this one is not and it's a spray. Eventhough it sprays on in white it's easy to just rub it in. I like that it doesn't have a strong smell which bothers my family. Also, it's a better choice because it has high level of zinc which is non-toxic.
Sheer and gentle. Great for face and body
Sheena84 from San Diego, CA
If you have sensative skin, Babo sunscreen is a must for sunny days. We live in southern California where sunscreen is a must have for almost everyday of the year. We like to stick to all natural formulas with Zinc as the main ingredient. The downside to Zinc is the white creamy caste it leaves on your skin after apllication. Babo sunscreen is by far the lightest Zinc based sunscreen I've tried. The spray is so sheer I could barely see the signiture white caste of the Zinc. I loved the light weight formula , it's perfect for my oily skin as well as my three year old daughter's Eczema prone skin. The ingredients are gentle and botanical based, it's the perfect suncreen for both of us. Babo will definitely be our go to sunscreen from now on, it's just that sheer , light and gentle.

This product is so easy to apply. I burn easily and need to reapply often. So, this product makes it easy to do. My husband and I are going to the Bahamas next week, and I will definitely bring this with us.
Love this sunscreen
Tmwill31 from Austin
Received this sample of sunscreen and just love it! Coverage is great, sprays on smoothly and smells great. I reapplies after 80 minutes of sun exposure after swimming and did not get burned. I have sensitive skin and did not experience any issues. The sunscreen also came with a tote with a cute print.
Light and hypoallergenic
Soccermom1013 from Pflugerville, TX
I really like the botanical quality of this sunscreen. It did not have a strong smell and was not greasy. I like how it is hypoallergenic and can be used on babies and sensitive skin as well. Easy spray with good coverage.
Lovelybones from Los Angeles
This sunscreen worked great while on vacation, the only issue I have is that it's chalky. It's not sheer at all. Overall I would recommend it because it did the job. It was easy to use. I will continue to use this brand
lk3071 from Austin, TX
I am a big fan of this company, so it is no surprise that I love this sunscreen. It sprays on evenly and is not sticky or slimy! Above all, and obviously most importantly, the sunscreen itself works so well.
Solid sun screen
Dache from Austin, TX
Great spray pattern and seems to have some good level of protection. To be fair, I got this late in the season and only had a chance to use it once or twice. It does exhibit similar traits as other zinc based products. Mainly the white sheen and being hard to rub in. I'll take that over getting burned though.
It lasts longer & the feel is good
Preethi from Tyler,texas

Perfect for Sensitive skin!
misslynn9 from Bakersfield, CA
This is a great product. It is easy to dispense, goes on evenly and dries quickly. Skin is left feeling protected by not sticky. I love that its gentle on my sensitive skin. It worked a long time while swimming and I didn't have to reapply. Great product that I will buy in the future.
Not that good
Karwin79 from Ocala FL
I was sent this product for an honest review. I live in Florida and tried this product a few times before judging it. My son is 4 and I used this while we were on vacation at a resort pool. He still got red, not badly sunburned but definitely red. I followed the instructions and made sure to reapply and my little Italian olice skinned little boy still got sun burn!
Good sunscreen for skin sensitivity
Victoria83og from Sacramento, CA
I bought the babo botanical sunscreen a month ago, this sunscreen is lightweight, fragrance free and hypoallergenic and glutenfree. It rubs into the skin very well and didnt leave a greasy feel. The only minuses is you have to reapply after towel drying and every 2 hours after that, it also left a paste look to the skin so I wouldn't use this if your looking to take pictures. Other then that it was a product I would recommend to a friend.
juanade from Horizon City , Texas
I received the Babo Botanicals Sheer Sunscreen and I couldn't be more happy than to be able tp try it. Its super absorbent and it's not sticky or grease at all. The Fragrance is so soft and natural that it feels good on the skin. It protects the skin so well that we didn't suffer any sunburn at all. We love the quality of this product.
Goes on smooth
Virgovixen86 from Baytown Tx
The spray is great for arms and legs, but beware that you do need to shake the canister before each use or it won't work. Remember to avoid your eyes. I was really surprised how well it worked for my 3 year old son.
Candee26 from Placerville, Ca
Love the feel of this product. Its light weight and absorbs well. Doesnt leave you sticky or greasy. Sweat proof is a plus. Love the spray design which makes it easier to apply. The smell is amazing! To top it off they included a cute matching tote to store sunscreen and other necessities in.
Gentle on skin
supermamabk from FL
Babo is one of my favorite brands for my kids needs. The sunscreen is lightweight and spraying it on is the easiest form of application for me. I like that it's hypoallergenic and waterproof (up to 80 minutes) , I don't have to keep chasing the kids to reapply as often as other sunscreens.
Very happy with this sunscreen!
Ju5tscream from FL
This sunscreen is wonderful with 100% zinc oxide as the active ingredient. The spray goes on smoothly and it is a sheer white color that almost completely disappears once it absorbs into your skin a little. It is fragrance free which is the most enjoyable part in my opinion! Safe for babies, kids, adults and those who have sensitive skin. I love that it's organic and doesn't have any of those harsh chemicals in it. I can feel completely comfortable using it on my child. It doesn't leave any oily residue or heavy feeling when using, it's almost like you don't have it on at all! It has a twist lock top so you can easily put it in a beach bag and don't have to worry about it accidentally being sprayed. Works great when following the directions reapplying occasionally. Living in Florida, sunscreen is a must so Babo Botanicals Sheer Zinc Sunscreen has my approval!
Easy application & non-greasy feel
AlexxM from CA
The packaging of this sun screen is really nice. No lid is required because it has a convenient twist nozzle that locks it shut. It comes out white and has more of a liquid vs. creamy consistency. I have to lightly rub it in, or it dries white on me. It met my expectations being fragrance-free, because I didn't pick up any scent. I can cover my whole body quickly because of the wide spray range. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and not greasy whatsoever. A lot of sunscreens claim non-greasy, but this one really is. So happy to see a product does what it says & is cruelty free.
Surprisingly not greasy at all!
abtopia from NY - New York
I am impressed by this product. It's all natural. It works and it's not greasy or weird in texture at all! It doesn't really have a scent, it felt water like enough to use on my face without and irritation or breakout. I also love the cute little bag that it came in. Well done!
