Most Helpful Positive Review No more green hair!! I am a competitive swimmer with red hair. I am in the pool 6 days a week plus in the summer I love going to the pool and having fun. But the chlorine always made my hair get a green-like tint to it!!! It would be like Christmas in June. I tried all the shampoos that are 'designed for swimmers' but they didn't do anything. I tried this and it worked like a miracle. My hair is back to the original shade of red it was and there is no tint! The only con is that it does dry your hair out but as long as you follow up with a good conditioner your hair will be fine.
Most Helpful Critical Review There are better clarifying shampoos I have thick long hair and this shampoo stayed in my hair for a week after! Each time I wet my hair to get ready to wash it would sud back up! Bubbles and suds everywhere! I would use sparingly and not very often. I literally couldn't figure out why my hair was so dry and tangled and this was the reason! I switched back to Joico K-Pac Shampoo and it went away. Also I had intense itching at the nape of my neck.

This is the best shampoo for removing chlorine that I have found. With two people swimming 5 and 6 days per week, we need a dependable product. My house has been through a lot of shampoos that don't do as good of a job, or smell bad, or both. This is a staple for swimmers.

Every now and then I have this hair type that you have to switch shampoos. Because no matter how many times I wash my hair it doesn't look like it. So I use this shampoo at those times and it leaves my hair silky, smooth, soft ,and lightweight feeling

I've been having trouble finding this and was glad to see it on the Ulta website. It was recommended to me by a hair stylist to use after swimming. It does strip my hair, which is what it's supposed to do so I follow up with a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. I'm African-American and have type 3-4 hair.
I purchased both a full-size and a travel-size. I refill the travel-size as needed and take it to the gym with me for when I wash my hair and shower before going back home.

Everytime I use this shampoo it makes my hair super sticky and dry. I would spend a good hour rising it out and it would still be in my hair. I regret trying this shampoo because I cannot seem to get my hair back to the way it used to be. Don't buy this!!!!!!! You will regret it!!!!

So I have very hard, chlorinated water in my apartment and my hair is platinum blonde. I started noticing that my hair was getting this ugly yellow tone to it and purple shampoo was not helping (I use Matrix.) I also recently started using a toning mask (Pravana.) Although those seemed to help, it would be short lived because on the days I'd wash with a moisturizing shampoo, I was noticing the yellow tones again. I went into Ulta and asked the sales associate which shampoo would be good for hard water, and she recommended this or Living Proof. I decided to go with this because it was not as expensive, and you get more product than the Living Proof kit. I have only washed with this once but let me tell you my hair looks so much BRIGHTER, and way less yellow! It also left my hair soft, clean and refreshed. My scalp feels amazing. I will definitely be purchasing this on a regular basis to keep my blonde clean and free from the chlorine that's in my apartment's water!

I have hard water so, I needed something that would not only remove daily buildup from other products, but to also remove calcium and all the other nasty stuff. I use this once a week now and my hair and scalp is literally feeling squeaky clean afterwards!! I use a hair mask after I use this shampoo and my hair feels Amazing!!! Highly recommend and don't forget to use a hair mask or a deep conditioner afterwards!!

This shampoo did a good job with removing product buildup on my hair. However, after shampooing it makes my hair feel like straw, even after conditioning. I have dry curly hair anyway but this seems to make it worse. I only shampoo once a week and co-wash my non shampoo days.

This is by far the best chlorine removal shampoo I have ever used! I have really thick hair and most shampoos still leave the chlorine smell and turn my highlights green. I love to swim laps at the gym but needed something that would save my hair. This smells so good and lathers so well, it literally makes your hair feel squeaky clean (I used The Detangler Paul Mitchell conditioner afterwards to help detangle). My hair is even better than before I started swimming. Will forever use this.

I got blonde highlights about a month ago and have been using a lot of products on my hair to combat the dry/brittleness of processing my hair. I noticed my blonde was starting to look dull and even Grey in some areas. I purchased this to see if it'll help and after one use my hair is back to being as blonde as it was when I first got it highlighted. It also feels softer and healthier than it has been these last few weeks. I can see how people would feel it's drying.. It's important to use a good conditioner with this product. I used Redkins Frizz Dismiss after using this product had good results!

This works well at getting the green out of your hair from swimming (which I realize isn't the chlorine, it's actually from the copper in most water). I also have minerals in my water and it removes those as well. It does strip the natural oils as well, but I can always add more moisture back into the hair. I have tried other clarifying shampoos and this one works the best.

Just an FYI, green hair from swimming is actually from copper in the water, not chlorine. I would image because this removes metals and minerals, that's why it's effective. Copper turns things green/blue = green hair. Copper is a very effective algicide for swimming pools and also in some plumbing and equipment. Just a PSA.

I use the product at least every other day to get the chlorine out of my hair. I alternate with a moisturizing shampoo. My hair is color-treated and has highlights. It does a great job. Make sure to use a good daily conditioner.

Used this shampoo as it says it will take chlorine out. Spent way too much for this product to help my daughter's hair after a summer of swimming. Was told this would work good. We used a lot and her hair was still crunchy after it dried. Won't buy again.

I purchased this hoping it would pull out or tone down a too red lowlight in my hair and to remove left over film from a leave in conditioner and IT WORKED GREAT!!! and what i found surprising was it didnt even dry out my hair since i used it 3x in one shower! my hair was so soft and fluffy! very thankful i found this.
