Not bad...

By Rosalinda

from Royal Oak

Comments about Real Techniques Sculpting Set:

The quality of the setting & sculpting brushes is pretty good. Soft and applies product evenly. That fan brush is a hot mess tho lol Only use it to sweep away any fallout. Not worth the regular price of $20 but the set was onsale. I really enjoy RT products.

Yikes

Comments about Real Techniques Sculpting Set:

The fan brush isn't really the best tbh. It's not as flat as you'd like it to be if you want a thin brush and doesn't pick up ad much powder :( I think the only good thing about this set is the brush holder.

I love real technique brushes. Have never felt the need to buy high end brands as I never faced any problem with these. I have many other RT brushes and love them all. I use this set for highlighting, contouring and powder.

Comments about Real Techniques Sculpting Set:

This set works well. The bristles are really soft and they apply makeup well with no streaks. I didn't give them a full five stars because I'm not sure if they are better or as good as more expensive or other popular brands. It does seem like I have to keep gong back to the bronzer with the bigger fluffy so it doesn't pick up product that well. But it's not bad. Same with the angles brush. The smaller fluffy brush seems to be better in regards to that. It works really well for highlighting. Overall wasnt blown away by the brushes but they are pretty good. They're also durable, easy to clean, and last a long time.

Love the Real Techniques brushes! The best brushes for the price. Super soft, but applies most products evenly, and doesn't shed brush hairs.

I love these brushes. If you're looking to buy singles, the contour/bronzing brush is a MUST HAVE. My bronzer blends so well and looks amazing with this brush. The brushes are dense, so they don't absorb the product. All of the brushes are great and I am super impressed.

Comments about Real Techniques Sculpting Set:

2 out of 3 of these brushes are excellent quality. I use the Sculpting Brush for bronzer, and it's so soft and dense, easy to blend out and give myself that bronzed glow while concentrating more product under my cheekbones for the perfect "brontour" (contour using bronzer). I use the Setting Brush to set my eye primer with setting powder. Both are soft, easy to use, and distribute product evenly and blend it out effortlessly.

The Fan Brush, however, is poor quality. It's thin, scratchy, and distributes product unevenly. I tried to use it with blush or with highlighter, but it made both products look streaky and was difficult to build up product with because it trapped so much product in its bristles. However, for the 2 good brushes I got, I still feel like I got a good deal, and I will continue using those 2 brushes daily.

                A:

                Hi Bre,

It definitely depends on the size of brushes you're looking to put in there, but about 5-6 average size brushes will fit. More, if they are smaller. Less, if they are bigger.

                Thanks!

                Hi Cherry Pie,

Yes you can definitely use baby shampoo. I also like to use a brush shampoo from our sister brand, EcoTools, found here: http://www.ulta.com/makeup-brush-cleansing-shampoo?productId=xlsImpprod13501085

While this is specifically formulated for brushes and sponges, it also is a gentler formula overall, so it won't irritate your skin. And it smells great!

                thanks!
