    Scent is migraine inducing

    By Erika

Comments about SheaMoisture Sacha Inchi Rescue & Repair Curl Defining Smoothie:

It doesn't work miracles in my hair and the scent caused me to get a migraine both times I tried it. I gave it to my boyfriend to use in his beard. I hated this mask. It smells like an old lady sprayed on half a bottle of perfume and then tried to give you a hug. And the scent LINGERS in your hair. Not natural smelling, not fruity or floral. Just chemically and perfumey.

Comments about SheaMoisture Sacha Inchi Rescue & Repair Curl Defining Smoothie:

I tried using the product on both wet and dry hair. I was hoping it would define my curls, which turn into frizzy nonsense very easily. The product did nothing to help my curls. It made my hair smell good, but I saw no improvement when it came to moisturization, frizz control, or curl definition. It might give straight hair a glossy look, but my thick frizzy/wavy hair did not benefit from the use of this product.

Comments about SheaMoisture Sacha Inchi Rescue & Repair Curl Defining Smoothie:

I apply this product in the shower after i wash off the conditioner i don't have a lot of hair so i only apply about a quarter to half a dollar size mid shaft to ends. I then plop my hair for 30-60 mins and then let it air dry. I get complimented on my hair almost on a regular basis. My mom even asked me if had someone style my hair and when i told her it just dryed that way she was suprised. I should mention i use to be addicted to straighten my hair and just in the past 2-3 months decided to stop heat all together. Can't say this product is want made all the difference but it certainly has helped. It's so affordable why not give it a chance.

Comments about SheaMoisture Sacha Inchi Rescue & Repair Curl Defining Smoothie:

I used this product after I washed my hair, and I section my hair bit by bit, and brush it into my hair.
It helps with tangles, and knots, and as I worked the brush through out my hair it started to feel much smoother.
My hair is dry now and it's super soft, and my curls looks amazing and smooth, I'm sure it'd be nice for straighter thicker hair. Since, it's pretty heavy I don't really recommend it for people with thin hair.
It's really nice, and my hair feels very soft and smooth, almost like silk.

      Downsides: It smells so weird.
It smells like baby powder mixed with that rice smell, and it's just so strange.
And the smell is over powering, a little goes a long way. My bathroom smells strongly of it and I only used a little.
Some may like the smell, but since it's so strong it gives me a head ache.
Also, it's pretty heavy so if you have thin curly hair it won't really help with your curls it'd just smooth them out so then they might look straight or wavy.

The scent is very strong, and it reminds me of the green tree car fresheners.. I was wondering if anyone has mixed some type of oil with it to dilute the strong odor?

            • Q:

I use to have thick and curly hair, but ever since I went blonde and started dying it, my curls died out a lot and my hair thinned out. Which product is best for me to use to help restore my curls & thickens of hair? I've used the coconut & hibiscus leave-in and Also the Jamaican castor oil one. Seems like the leave-ins are ok, but what works better the leave-in or gel?
