So I bought this on a whim. Honey has both skin healing and moisturizing properties - I have aging skin that still gets acne, and I live in a dry climate, so I need something that will moisturize under my bb cream and still help prevent acne. This stuff is perfect!!!!!! I have been getting complements about how good my skin looks. It's like a very light weight serum, has no fragrance, and makes my skin look great. Try it!
The only essence that made a difference

I'm a young 25 year old, and this stuff was what kept my skin hydrated through the cold winters on the East coast..... the design is beautiful, and I love how luxurious it feels on my skin albeit it is sticky. Goes beautifully under my moisturizer and pairs well with a facial oil

I love this essence. I feel that it does a good job prepping my skin for my serums. There isn't really a smell and the dropper has a cap that automatically pulls up the serum when the cap is closed. Kind of cool.

This has been the thickest/heaviest essence I have ever tried (SK-II and Tatcha essences are what I typically rotate). I love the Skinfood masks- so I thought this product would also be golden. This essence remained sticky on the top of my skin for over an hour each time. I gave it multiple tries throughout the week, but each time it led to breakouts/bumps all over my face.
on fourth bottle and counting...

This stuff is the bees knees. Literally. But seriously, I first discovered this when I lived in Korea and it's absolutely amazing. It deeply hydrates without being too heavy, and there's no ingredients that would raise any red flags. It's loaded with some great things actually: propolis, honey, royal jelly, and saccharomyces ferment. People with oily skin could probably use it as a moisturizer, but people with super dry skin (like me) would probably prefer it as a face serum. It's got a nice glass bottle and a full 1.6oz of product, which is much more than pretty much any other propolis product available in Ulta. I'm only docking a star because it was cheaper in Korea, but I get that this has to be imported and shipped.

I've been using this product for sometime now and I love it! It is the only product I use that can get rid of my dry, flaky skin on my nose. I use a 5 step cleaning process for my skin. If wearing makeup I first remove makeup with a cleansing balm, then a foaming facial cleanser (Skinfood's egg foam face wash), then tone with (Skinfood's honey toner (which is currently back ordered :/ ), and then use this serum. Last step is to use the Skinfood honey emulsion. Then my skin is moisturized and clean. I have combination skin and technically do not get dry patches but in the last year my nose have been flaking badly. I can only exfoliate so much before my nose gets irritated. So please don't stop selling this Ulta! Like you did with the black sugar foaming face scrub wash from Skinfood!

I'm head first down the K-beauty rabbit hole and I love it!!!
sensitive normal-combination skin with slightly oily t-zone, enlarged pores/blackheads on nose and cheeks, hormonal acne (CC's) along jawline, and the beginning signs of aging with a bit of hyperpigmentation. I am of Scandinavian descent with freckled fair skin that burns easily.
Northern Central Valley of California (a few hours NE of San Francisco) - think poor air quality with average temps during summer of 95 degrees F and avg. humidity around 15%. The remaining 5 months of the year range from mild and easy on the skin to very drying during the windy season. However, I spend most of my days in a climate controlled office.
On to this luscious essence:
The packaging is classy, yet cute and quite substantial. Looks great on the shelf in my bathroom. There is a ton of essence at a whopping 80mL. I don't detect any fragrance and it only takes a few drops to cover my entire face and décolletage. It has an almost juicy, slightly thick consistency and goes on smooth without a hint of stickiness. It calms PIE and hormonal acne and feels quite hydrating, along with plumping up areas with fine lines. DISCLAIMER: It can be a bit dewy, as I use it as the next step after a 1:1 mix of TO Niacinamide + Cosrx 96 Mucin Power Essence. I follow with Mizon Black Snail AIO and top it with Dr. Jart Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 and set with Well People Bio Brightener Invisible Powder. With the final steps in my routine, I emit a lovely glow instead of looking overly dewy/borderline shiny. I turn 35 in a few months and started diving into skincare on my last birthday and I have to say it looks better than it has in AGES!
