Smoother-looking manicures

By SD_NATUREGIRL

Comments about Essie Ridge Filling Base Coat:

I'd give this five stars, but it's the only ridge filler I've tried, so I'm unsure how it compares to others. I got hooked after trying it to help make lighter, less-forgiving polishes look smoother on my ridged nails, but now I use it under everything. Though it goes on pretty sheer, it can take time to dry if applied too thickly, so I do two thin coats and give each one a little time to dry for a slightly more opaque look.

Very disappointing. Polish went on worse with it than without it. applying a thin layer and letting dry forever, it felt tacky and just gross.

Comments about Essie Ridge Filling Base Coat:

This is the first time that I bought this nail filler. I think it is a new product. I have used it both with one coat and two coats. The sight tint is a natural looking nail. It fills in the ridges on my nails and makes them look young and beautiful. Like a professional manicure. I absolutely love it!

Comments about Essie Ridge Filling Base Coat:

I injured my nail bed so part of my nail is missing right now (gross I know)... but this product completely fills in the gap. It creates an even base in a nude hue so it can be worn alone. Seems to work well with nail polish, but my priority was its filling properties.

Comments about Essie Ridge Filling Base Coat:

My nails are in rough shape from years of accrilics. Weak, brittle and uneven are just some of my woes and as a nail polish addict that never bodes well for beautiful color. This ridge filler not only fills in my divits but has improved my overall nail strength tenfold. I use this product every week when changing color and I have not once had a nail break or chip which is a miracle for me! Definitely a must have in any nail polish arsenal!

Comments about Essie Ridge Filling Base Coat:

I love all Essie products, but recently fell in love with this base coat. I had removed acrylics and was trying to help my nails recover. Anyone who has had acrylic or gel nails knows the damage they can do, so when I gave myself my first mani after all of that damage, there where some uneven spots on my nails (especially where the bottom of the acrylics had been) and this base coat filled in all those weird ridges and made my polish look smooth without all the buffing and thinning of my nails. Highly recommend!
