Comments about EcoTools Recycled Aluminum Retractable Kabuki Brush:

I love eco tools brushes and this one is probably the best one I own. It's dense, soft, easy to clean, and I've had it forever with basically no shedding. I use it for mineral foundation and setting powder. I really can not recommend it enough.

Comments about EcoTools Recycled Aluminum Retractable Kabuki Brush:

This is a great brush and affordable. I have used several Eco brushes and they last me years. Just bought this for daughter. She needs a good versatile brush. It's soft bristles, and adjustment of the tube can increase the firmness depending if using for powder, blush, highlight, or contouring. Good quality brush that doesn't lose the bristles when washing it so she should be happy!

I just love this brush! I had the exact same brush for maybe 4 years until the quality of the way the brush applied my makeup was just not the same so I decided to buy a new one although I have so many other foundation brushes and I'm glad I did because it feels like heaven on my face!:) will buy again when this one needs to be replaced.

This retractable kabuki is full size, no tiny little brush heads to try to work with, and it's dense. It's easy to toss it in a purse and it won't collect purse debris.

This is a great on the go brush that I keep in my purse. It's very soft and great for my pressed powder touch ups. I'm sure you could use it to apply foundation too as it's very dense. I purchased the similar real techniques brush a while ago but after a week the cap broke! I like the ecotools cap because it's aluminum and won't break as easily. This is my second one. The first one I had for years!! Great brush! I recommend this brush to friends and family all the time.

                          Hi Ziggy,

This kabuki brush would be an amazing brush for powder foundation because of how lightly packed and fluffy the bristles are - they would give you that light, but flawless coverage.

For a cream to powder foundation, I would tend to use a brush whose head is more dense and compact. One brush I love within EcoTools for liquid foundation application is the Buffing Brush, shown here: http://www.ulta.com/buffing-brush?productId=xlsImpprod4260025

                          Thanks!

                          A:

                          Hi Abbey,

I do love me a kabuki brush for a lot of different things, and it would be an amazing brush for a bronzer because of how lightly packed and fluffy the bristles are - they would give you that natural glow you're looking for.

However, I probably wouldn't recommend it for contouring - you need something with a bit more precision and something that has a bit more of an angular cut. My best recommendation is a brush from our sister brand, Real Techniques. We make a Sculpting Brush in that line that is absolutely amazing for contouring - you can find it here: http://www.ulta.com/sculpting-brush?productId=xlsImpprod11861065

That has the angles, the smaller cut bristles and the dense packing that is perfect for creating a fierce contour!

                          Thanks.
