i'm reading a lot of the reviews and i just feel compelled to write a review so that they do not discontinue this product. i find that it rubs in very well— albeit a little tacky but honestly that's what you're gonna get from a true mineral sunscreen! i don't get a white cast (i have light/medium skin with golden undertones) from this and it's made with clean ingredients. are you gonna get all that from any other brand? at least for me, i haven't found another that compares with such a high (EFFECTIVE) zinc oxide percentage!!! i introduced my friend (light skin with golden undertones) to this and he loves it as well. if you're getting burned, then please keep in mind that ANY spf should be reapplied every 2 hours. also, i don't know what other reviewers are talking about about the smell. yes it smells slightly but after you put it on for a few minutes, there is no smell. it's just a combination of clean natural ingredients smell! i am on my 3rd bottle now. sidenote: please acure— can you make a mineral strictly face only spf that doesn't also act as a moisturizer? i am reading a lot of articles that say spf combined with moisturizer isn't as effective bc there is more moisturizing ingredients as opposed to just getting all spf.
This "day cream" is of a watery consistency that I just shy of the thickness of a lotion. I did not have that hard of a time blending it out as I have had with other mineral spfs (or as other reviewers have experienced), and it might be because I shake the tube so much before squeezing. Highly recommend doing that if you decide to purchase this.
However, through out the days I have worn this, I pick up a metal scent which can be attributed to the ferulic acid. I researched that some people think it smells like hotdog water.
I'm not sure why I never feel like it absorbs into my skin (at least as much as other mineral spfs) and leaves me feeling like I gardened all day but didn't wash the dirt off my face.
I haven't noticed any further tanning or need for moisturizer on my face though so two stars for that.
My overall impression is to keep using it, but find another moisturizing spf with a more pleasant experience. I would only repurchase if it's on sale again and/or don't have anything else.

This does not soak into my skin. It is sticky all day long. Would not work well under makeup. Happy about the ingredients but would not buy again.

I'm on my fourth tube of this day cream with sunscreen. I switched to all natural household and skincare products a few years ago. I tried many skincare products from many companies and my favorites were overwhelmingly Acure items. Facial Moisturizer is no exception! I was diagnosed with a melanoma one year ago so a daily SPF is critical for me and this face cream has been wonderful. It goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly. I don't experience any white residue some other reviewers have mentioned.

Very irritating to the skin. Leaves a sticky residue and does not rub in well to wear under makeup like the description claims.

After fully rubbing the cream it, skin is sticky. It does not leave you with a smooth feel on your skin. Even after applying powder makeup, my skin still feels tight and tacky. Love most Acure products, but not this one. Would not recommend.

Non-irritating, moisturizing, protective, and water-proof. What's not to love?

I wanted to love this product but I just couldn't. It is sticky, even on clean skin. It pills way too easily and turns into an oily, weird grey sludge over time on your face. Even coverage is impossible and it leaves a terrible, sticky white cast. :(

I really wanted to love this sunscreen but it was so difficult to apply. It falls apart and does not smooth out unless you really keep spreading it firmly on your face. I think it needs an emollient to make it easier to apply. Once it was sets you're left with a matte finish and no white cast, although I am fair skinned so not sure if it would work for darker complexions.

So i bought this a few weeks back when i was actually trying to buy the night cream version but didn't pay attention. i'm still been using it because of the price and i've gotta say i'm not really a fan. this is my first time using this product and the way it went on felt very weird. it has this grainy texture. you can even see the grains before you put it on. And you can definitely feel them after applying. It also isn't very moisturizing. i have dry skin and i have to use moisturizer but this just didn't give me anything. This product also has a slight white/gray cast but it's not to bad. Overall i wouldn't recommend this this product. And hopefully the night cream isn't the same way.

I use this after cleansing in the morning. It's been causing me to break out and I don't think it's moisturizing enough. It kind of feels like a thick serum and is a bit tacky. It's lighter like a lotion. It's not very "creamy".

It was so hard to blend in to my skin and it left a white residue

I've been on the hunt for a vegan spf moisturizer and took the chance on this guy. Love that it has turmeric and vitamin C to help even complexion. Feels nice too and no breakouts (yay!) . A little goes a long way so don't fret about the size! :)

I was excited to try this because of the ingredients listed but honestly I do not like it at all. At first I thought I got a bad bottle because of the consistency and how hard it is to blend into your skin but after seeing the reviews it seems to just be how it is. There's like patches of product that you have to try and blend in which takes some time. Its really sticky too. Smell is just whatever to me but there's definitely better spf's out there in this price range that I've used before

I love many of ACURE's products but this is my least favorite because the lotion I received was very sticky and runny.

I was looking for a new sunscreen and decided to try this. Overall it is so so. I find this cream doesn't sink into my skin well and I have to rub it in more than I would like. I have been noticing some dry patches and this doesn't seem to hydrate them very well. I do not plan on rebuying when I run out.

It's impossible to evenly spread, as the more you work it on the skin, the more blotches of white appear. And after a couple of hours, the pores start expelling drops of sweat, as if skin had been clogged. (And I have dry skin) unfortunately I had to throw the product away.

I put just a little on the back of my hand and mix it with a bit of foundation. It goes on a bit thick but I like it for my skin, does smell like sunblock I wish it had a nicer fragrance.

I did not like this product..... it is sticky when applying and then my face would feel firm all day. Also, I broke out like crazy (this was the only product I changed in my daily routine, and once I stopped using it, I no longer had an acne issue).

It is not sticky at all and easy to use!

This is the first ever zinc oxide sunscreen I've tried and I really do like it! I'm still able to get tan, but without all the UVA/UVB rays! The only con is that it's a little sticky, but I feel like that's all sunscreens!
Rana from California
My skin was doing so good. Not only is this sticky and take forever to blend but it also broke me out really badly.
Reba Joy from Texas
I used this entire bottle. It reacted badly with my vitamin c and would cause oxidization on my skill. It is thick and STICKY and PILLS up. Looks nasty.
UltaMaximalist from Los Angeles
The best sunscreen lotion with the safest ingredient and great price! I checked EWG before purchasing this. It works greatly under makeup. Just wait 5-10minutes before you out the make-up.
