Most Helpful Positive Review Ladies!!!!! RCM is amazing!
Okay what can I say! I had been using Red Carpet Manicure for about 6 months! I love it!!!!! I can't get enough of it! Believe me; once you try it, and get to the last step (removing the tackiness) you will fall in love with RCM! You get weeks of wear for each manicure, I've gone as long as 3 weeks with no chips and still amazing wet look shine and I actually could of gone longer but I wanted to change the color! If you follow all steps just as instructed to, you shouldn't have any problems, although I do advice to go to their website and their facebook page to get tips and advice. RCM is very quick to answer any questions if you have any on their FB page or if you email them. It's very easy to do, if you are a perfectionist you might take a little longer but the results are 100% worth it! I own all 36 colors and I'm anxious to get there total of 18 new colors coming in March-2012! Now... removal...ladies I do have to tell you that you can't remove it with regular acetone...you have to use either Erase from RCM or 100% pure acetone for nails and use it as directed by RCM. Make sure that you buff the shine from your nails before wrapping them with foil also placing a warm damped towel above the nails will help the removal process, this will take 10-15 min. Whatever you do DO NOT PEEL IT OFF, you will do some serious damage to your nails by lifting up thin layers from your nails and causing them to weaken and peel. Also, try not to scrape too hard after the foil, if it's too hard still leave it for a few minutes longer and it should lift up pretty easily! Since I started using RCM I've haven't gone back to regular nail polish and I don't plan to! RCM is very much worth the money and you can do this at the convenience of your home. Give RCM a try, you won't regret it! And like I said visit RCM facebook page if you have any questions or comments, RCM and all of their fans could help! Oh and one more thing...the colors of some of the bottles don't match to the actual color, for more accurate color visit your local Ulta and open it...you can also visit RCM's facebook page and look at the photos of people who posted pictures of their nails I also made some color swatches of all their colors and posted the pictures on RCM's facebook to help with color selection! Hope this helps!
Most Helpful Critical Review Hmmm I'm really torn on this....
Okay, so I was really excited when I saw the Red Carpet Manicure debut in the Ulta ad. I waited for a few reviews before I made the investment (which I just said would be my bday present to my husband). I had previously gone to a salon and paid $25 for a professional gel manicure that I absolutely loved but knew I wouldn't be able to upkeep because I simply don't have $50 a month for something so petty as a manicure. Right? So I bought it all online...
My first color was "And The Winner Is" because my husband picked it. It came, I applied, all was wonderful! I loved it! Easy to apply and it was just the first time doing it...
So I went to the Ulta and bought another color..."The Night is Young" and well I was rather ticked off becuase the color ran all over the place. I follow the directions completely, to the point that I use a timer. After I finally gave up on trying to correct it, it took me two hours and half a bottle of the special remover (which I suspect isn't so special) to get it off. 2 hours! Trust me, I'm not exaggerating. I was tired, my back hurt, and I still had risidual color that I couldn't get off. The next day I took it back where I was then harrassed by the girl at the counter (Cerritos, CA) for not having my receipt. Considering Ulta is the only palce I can buy Red Carpet gel colors I'm not sure what the big deal was since all I wanted to do was swap a color. I believe I have a right to do so since the color was an epic fail. After not backing down to this girl I walked out with "Best Dressed".
I started at approx. 7pm and it's not 10:30pm and in my humble opinion my nais look pretty bad. I've had to do 3 nails on my hands over after I completed the entire process because the color bled back exposing my nail tip even though I made sure to do the ends of my nail tips. I had to do two coats of gloss on my toes because it looked matte. And now that I'm looking at my right hand, the extra effort towards the nails that turned out defective, seem to be sliding back again.
I don't know what the problem is...is it the color? Is it me? I feel that I have followed the directions to a T so I really don't think it's me, I had a great success with the first color afterall. I'm really unhappy with this product and wish I could return it all. 1 out of 3 isn't worth it in my opinion. I'd rather use a fast drying spray and do a regular manicure that only lasts a few days vs. a pretty bad manicure straight off the bat that I can't get off unless I devout 2 hours of my life to scraping it off.
It's left a bad taste in my mouth...I want a refund.

Don't waste your money. It takes too long to dry. Waited almost an hour, and it still wasn't dried

Good Gel Polish
Beauty Lady from A
I've only used this brand a couple of times but definitely lasts longer than some of the other brands that I've tried. My favorite from this brand is the top coat, high gloss and hardens your nails. I have very weak nails so need all the support!

When I first opened the bottle, the colors seemed to be separating. I shook the bottle to try and fix the situation, but it didn't really help. When I actually applied the gel polish, it applied nicely, although it was thin. After I was done curing, I noticed the colors of the polish had shifted to a lighter purple, which wasn't really an issue until the next morning. I woke up to find that my nails had turned a grey/brown color. Never buying again.
New favorite nail color

This color (#185 Sealed with a Kiss) is so beautiful! A perfect combination between red and pink. And the coverage is outstanding! I mention that because a few of the Red Carpet Gel polish colors don't do that.
color turns gray
Kimberly from Orlando
I got this to have cute nails for Easter. Not even 2 days after applying, the color was completely gray and not even a little bit purple anymore. don't waste your money.
Discoloring and inaccurate
Paige from Greenville, SC
While the color laid down well, it did not match what was on the bottle. When I got the bottle in the mail, it was obvious that the bottle needed to be shaken to mix the product. I found myself having to shake the bottle pretty aggressively at every application (each coat I applied) because otherwise the product separated and the color looked awful. Once the color cured and I put the top coat on, it was more of a dusty rose color rather than lavender. The next day the color dissolved to a brown/nude color—nothing like what was on the bottle. The only ready I'm keeping it is because I actually like the color it discolored to buy it is NO WHERE near what the bottle says the color will be.
Not what I was expecting
Kay from Memphis, TN
I really though that I would be getting a deep purple, blueish color. The polish is not true to color. I applied 5 coats and still was not able to achieve the color on the bottle. It is very translucent with pops of glitter here and there. I will be returning this product.
Better than "Gelish"

I used this with my gelish led light and it's awesome! I'm so impressed with red carpet and definitely will be buying more!
I will not be buying this brand again

Difficult to lay down..... wanted to bead up. Had to apply 4 layers to get the color
I've got greenish grey nails now from Pace, FL
I purchased "Prim and Proper." It looked great!.... at first..... cut to a few hours later... It was a little more blue looking and I thought it was just the lighting... cut to a few more hours later... I thought to myself, "Well that looks straight up grey!" Throughout the day, this pretty purple turned into a weird greenish grey color! Just returned it in-store for a different brand. I won't be buying Red Carpet products again.

I love the color..at first when I opened the lid the color wasn't like the color on the bottle but once I put it on it matched just fine! Love the color
Julieduke33 from Downers grove, il
Color looks beautiful in the bottle, but I would imagine it would take at least 3 if not four applications to achieve it. First application looks like it's a sheer black. Will be returning.
I love this stuff!

I love being able to do gel nails at home! Red Carpet takes a little longer to cure under my led light than OPI, but I find that the color is smoother and longer lasting! I am a mom to two small kids, so I wash a lot of dishes / bottles and wash my hands constantly. Red Carpet always holds up! I can usually get 10-14 days out of it with no chips and very minimal tip wear. Regrowth is usually my reason for removing the color. Highly recommended!
Not the color I wanted
Kelsey from Machester, PA
I was sort of disappointed in the color compared to the color on the bottle. This color is more of a pink rather than a purple. You have to apply at least 3 coats of polish in order to not be able to see your finger nails. It is a pretty color though! It just was not what I wanted/expected.
Was not happy with the color after applied.
Bam from TX
Very disappointed that the color looks more gray & in some light even a green color.
So SO thin
Amanda from Massachusetts
I had to use, no lie, 7-8 coats to even get this looking minimally opaque. By that point my nails were looking so bumpy and awful, and it's still not totally opaque. I'm so disappointed as this color is gorgeous in the bottle. But the Sally Hansen or Sensationail is a much better value - you don't have to use half your bottle on one manicure.
Fav Gel Polish!
Lyssylyss from feasterville, pa
I used 3 thin coats and it came out perfectly. Not too thick and very true to color in the bottle!
April from Virginia
The color is beautiful, but it's super thin with a runny consistency and took 4 coats to become relatively opaque and hide my free edge. I absolutely love the color but it was a bit difficult not to flood my cuticles with the runny consistency on top of having to put on 4 layers. I had high hopes since there were some really good reviews, but I'm left feeling super bummed.
Color not same as bottle
Steph from Texas
This color did not come out even close to color on bottle. Returned for something different
Love, Love, Love the color!
