Most Helpful Positive Review Hold THE PHONE! Can I just tell you how shook I am about this styling tool? I'm over here singing K-Ci & JoJo to this brush because it is exactly what I've been praying for all my life. To be honest, I was on the fence about this whole hot brush trend and didn't think it would be any different than my good ol' faithful roundbrush/blow dryer set up. Well, I'm here to admit to you all that for the first time ever in my life I was wrong.
Will this change your life? Yes! Could you start a cult to worship this hair tool? Also, yes. Here's why;
1) This cut the dry time of my chest-length, super thick, very coarse hair in half
2) My hair has literally never, ever been anywhere close to this shiny, soft and smooth
3) It has a super long cord so you aren't having to fight it getting caught on things and knocking stuff over
4) It is one tool and you can use both hands so there's none of the one-handed round brush coordination struggle
5) Control is at the bottom of the handle which actually is super convenient because its out of the way and you just set it and go
I seriously just used this thing for the first time and ran to my computer to write this review because you all need to know about how great this thing is. The only thing I could possibly complain about is it is certainly heavier than your normal hairbrush (obviously) so just make sure you get the lightest hot brush you can to save your tired arms.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not perfect for fine, straight hair or bangs This is definitely easier than holding both a brush and a hair dryer, but I feel like I still need my hair dryer to use along with this. First, I like to blow dry my bangs straight down with a hair dryer, and this brush doesn't do that, it kind of leaves them with a slight curl to them. Secondly, this dries the ends of my hair really effectively, but somehow the crown of my head stays kind of damp, so I think I should actually blast that first with my hair dryer before moving to this. For me this is actually NOT faster than my usual dryer + round brush routine because I need to take smaller sections of hair and go over each one longer in order for this to dry them because it doesn't have as much air as a regular dryer, so it doesn't dry as quickly. Also, for me, my hair looks A LOT better if I use this WITH product. Without product my hair just looked limp, over-dried at the ends, and flat after using this, but spraying on Ouai leave-in conditioner before using this made my hair look way smoother and more polished.

I got this hot tools items a couple of months ago and I absolutely love it! I have very long hair and it's so easy to use. worth every penny! it did take some time for me to get the hang of it but I love being able to dry and style my hair all at the same time. totally recommend it to anyone thinking of purchasing.
HOT tool 2
Alissa from Benton, AR
The good: this tool does a great job to dry and smooth in one step.
The bad and the ugly: This product gets entirely too hot even on low. I I wanted to love this tool, but I will be returning today. The ends of my hair are so damaged despite using Joico Defy Damage religiously. It is difficult to switch to the (not cool enough) cool mode while using needed to set your style. As others have mentioned it is very loud even on low and it is almost deafening on high. The smaller plastic bristles do grip my thick hair well but have melted due to the heat.
Disappointed bristles came out 3
Rose from Fort Lauderdale Florida
This hot air brush styled my hair beautifully, however, after the first use I noticed bristles all over my bathroom floor. I will be returning it. I don't know if I bought a defective one or if they all do this.
Got Used to it and now I love it!! 5

I had never used a volumizer before and mostly let my highlighted, curly, frizzy hair dry naturally first and then would use a flat iron to straighten. Not only did this take a lot of time, but I noticed over the years that my hair still looked slightly frizzy after using the flat iron, so I thought I would give this volumizer a try. The first time I had trouble with drying and it didn't seem to work well. The next time I let my hair dry a little bit first naturally so it wasn't soaking wet, but still very damp. I held the tool and brushed outward away from my head and put on low heat. It worked perfectly! Straighten my hair and gave it bounce and volume that I didn't get with my flat iron. I then put it on high and did the top layer of my head and it took away the frizz. The third time I used it, it took me 15 minutes from start to finish! That's less than half the time + that it would take me to flat iron my hair. And my hair looked way better!! It had volume and a slight curl at the ends. Yes, it is awkward to use due to the size, but give it some time and multiple tries and it does get easier to use. I am so glad I didn't give up on it after the first couple of uses. It doesn't make ear shattering noise, no more than a normal blow dryer, and when used on low heat it's less noisy. I don't usually write reviews, but felt that with the positive and time saving results I got that I would share. Would highly recommend!
DONT BUY - Stopped working after 2 mins 1
Evie A. from Long Beach, CA
First time using the brush and it stopped working after two minutes!! It wouldn't turn on again then it started to smok e and the handle felt hot. The one section of hair that I was able to dry was nice though.. smooth and frizz free. Also, it was also very loud. Maybe I got a defective one but save yourself the trouble. I had to go back to the store and return it.
Just like a blowout 5

I love that you can take the top off!! Easy to clean and store. They need to make a case for this!! Great for my shoulder length thin/coarse hair. I think it works best when your hair is WET and not almost dryish
Yes! Buy it! 5

I have been back and forth On buying one of these and which brand to try for a while. I had read a lot of reviews saying that 1. It gets way too hot and 2. It's too big and bulky. I finally but the bullet and bout it for myself for
Christmas when it was on sale and I'm so glad I did!! It works so good!! My hair is very frizzy and I hate styling it!! This is the only tool I have ever used where I felt like my hair looked close to what it looks like when I leave the salon. The address my concerns from other reviews... 1. It wasn't any hotter than a hair dryer and I don't feel as hot as I normally am after blow drying and straightening my hair. 2. It is big and bulky which is hard for me because I don't have a thumb. I found it no more difficult hold than a hair dryer and much easier to use than a hair straightener.
smooth hair all day, easy to use 4

I was a little nervous about how large this thing is, but even though I have small hands I could handle it. On high setting it does make a really high-pitched sound, but it didn't in the low setting. Overall I really like it but I am giving it only 4 stars due to the "earplug-necessary" noise in the high setting.
Glad I was Wrong 5

I was at Ulta telling my daughters what a waste of money this product would be. At that time a woman walked up and her daughter had bought her one for Christmas and although she was skeptical she ended up loving it and went on and on. So much that I ended up buying one to see for myself......I can not express how greatful I was to be wrong!! I LOVE MINE SOOO MUCH!!!! I tell anyone who will listen. It is awesome.....second/third day hair comes out fabulous and so smooth (I don't use with leave in styling cream) and it dries my wet hair in no time. Great for my tweens also!!!!!!
Burnt me many times 1
Mhinder1 from Florida
I have another brand w no issues of burning myself. This one has brush bristles that are not stiff or long enough and even pulling hair near ears or forehead I've gotten burnt. If I hadn't disposed of the box I would have returned. Not worth the $$$

Squealing loud sound !
Awesome! 5
JaneR from Wyandotte MI
So my mom kept telling me I needed one of these brushes. I have wavy hair and can do a pretty good job blowing it straight with a blow dryer and round brush so I really didn't think it was necessary. This brush does an amazing job of smoothing out my hair, it's so easy to use and saves a ton of time. The only thing I would recommend is to not use it on soaking wet hair (I usually use my regular blow dryer for a few mins because I don't have time to air dry in the morning). My hair comes out great, all of the waves smoothed straight and lots of volume.
I am taking it back 1

I love what my hair looked like after but I will be returning it for another one. It has a Very loud squealing sound !

This was a gift 1
Lost Customer from South Carolina
Not sure how this product is, it is a gift for my daughter-in-law. After two weeks (14 days), I have no update to the shipping status. I will NOT have this styler in time for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to leave before it will arrive (whenever that is). Very disappointed. This was my first time purchasing from Ulta on-line. Can't recommend this company at all.
Don't buy this! 1
Breakingcodesilence from Houston,TX
My ears are still ringing 3 days later. How could this be legal to sell? How could Ulta allow this product to seep into my life and cause my ears so much DAMAGE??? Where's the professionalism and integrity in this product? So a person has to spend $500 to get a brush that doesn't affect hearing? Where are the morals of this brand and with Ulta selling this brand?
AMAZING!!! 5

Super smooth shiny blowout
Right concept, wrong Material 2
mdhinder from Palm Bay, FL
I've used other brands with no issues. This one burnt the entire back of my ear because the bristles are not stiff enough to hold up to thick hsir and iron portion touches skin.
I love it. 5

It's really great.
Amazing 5
Amazed from South Carolina
I love that this has 3 settings, others don't. So if I don't have time to let my hair dry out, I put on low to get some dampness out then put to high to straighten, and then to cool to set. I had given up on blow drying my hair because it took too long because it's thick. But couldn't believe it took less than 10 minutes and didn't have to do anything else. I was done. So yes definitely a game changer! I love doing my hair again!
Love this brush 5
Lolo from San Clemente calif
I was very skeptical about purchasing this product. All the reviewers say they have thick wavy or curly hair. I have thin and fine hair. But it needs body so I thought this might help. I love it. It leaves my hair smooth and gives it the lift at the scalp. Just what I wanted.
Great hot tool! 5

I have a short, above the shoulder, bob. This tool dried and styled my hair perfectly. I have very thick hair, too, and this tool worked great.
