Gold 'N Hot

This thing is GREAT! I got it to replace my other GnH that I have had for years. That one is nearing the end of its life and bc of the deal on this one, I didn't want to wait til it finally gave out. One of the features I noticed right away is that the cap is thinner and more compact. My older model the cap is thick and there is no way to store it inside of the dryer. This one is about the thickness of a shower cap and it folds right up and can be stored inside. My other one gets hot but this gets HOT. I never turn my other one down from High to Medium, but I probably wouldn't be sitting here if I didn't adjust the temp on this one. I wouldn't say it's noisy although it does make that fan sound. But I use it at home so it's not an issue.
I purchased this when it was on sale for less than $25 Thought I'd give one as a gift but it was so defective I ended up returning it instead. The hot hair tube from the bonnet to the unit is short so you have the keep the unit about waist level. The unit tips over easily so you need to be careful not to pull on the tube when in use. The "locking mechanism" that connects the bonnet to the air tube tends doesn't hold well and frequently detaches. I initially thought I had a defective unit, but a second unit had the same problem. The tube was less likely to fall off if the connection was positioned at the base of my head and I was careful not to move. One unit was too hot even at the low setting. The other unit is hot but bearable at the low setting. The hot setting is too hot.

Lightweight and gets really hot. I have thick natural hair and used this for deep conditioning and drying braid outs. The cord is a bit short, but does the job.

This thing confused me, after comparing both hair dryers sold at Ulta, I bought this one because it had better reviews. What I missed until it arrived and I tried it, is that it does NOT dry your hair. The hot air blows outside of your hair. The stretchy plastic bonnet just warms up.
This looks like it was intended only for warming your wet hair inside plastic, similar like when you wet your hair and just put on a plastic shower cap.
I don't get it and regret this purchase, way too expensive for what it actually does.

I bought this dryer on May 18th. This us my 3rd time using it and it is broken. The hose is horrible. I will never repurchase this dryer again.

Like most reviews, I am finding the hose to be the poorest design of the dryer . I am in the middle of using at this very moment. The hose not only keeps falling off but the plastic attachment on the cap has come off completely. So I am holding the hose in the cap , while wrapped in a towel . My hair is almost dry after 2 hours . I find the noise level tolerable and expected. The highest setting is way too hot. Medium is bearable but the hose is hot on my back or arm . I have the older version that folds down with a hard bonnet but the knob broke a few years ago . I would have enjoyed this if it just was user friendly. It is going back tomorrow. Today was my first time using .

So I buy my 1st one bonnet ends up ripping because it does get very hot but then why make it plastic? I buy a 2nd because it was on sale and thought ok maybe mine was just not made properly 2 weeks after having the 2nd the plastic tube part that is like a puzzle completely comes off the bonnet. Why make something that will fall apart from the heat. Annoyed!!

Bonnet stays on your head, unlike the model I had before that kept popping off. Gets very hot on high, but I find the medium setting to be perfect. I like the size and portability but would suggest a bigger compartment for chord and bonnet storage.

I was really looking forward to trying this out. I got this at half the price. Yes, it's cheap and its components were kinda flimsy, but I wouldn't mind that so much if the product performed well. Couldn't even try it out because the bonnet was missing. I have to return.

Just received this hair dryer a couple of days ago, decided to use to dry hair and the hose kept disconnecting from the bonnet several times. The dryer is quiet noisey, very loud. I will return to store for a refund. So disappointed. I did read the reviews but thought I will just risk the chance and purchase anyway.

I have been looking for years for a reasonably priced bonnet dryer. Got this for half price during hair event. This is great but knocked off a star bc the bonnet can not be made larger to fit a normal sized or larger head. The bonnet is not jumbo. It's small and is quite tight. The bottom of the unit does not have any grippers on it so if you put on a table it can very easily slide off if you are not paying attention. Otherwise this is quite good. I only use it for deep treatments. Can't imagine anyone who has a normal sized head wear this with rollers.

Great dryer used it for the first time. The hose is really short but over all Great product.

I really wanted to like this because it brought back memories for me. There were just too many problems for me. I wanted to dry my hair while I put on makeup. That doesn't work because the hose is too short. The bonnet ripped after 2 uses. I had to take it back. But if you are willing to sit still and deal with the liklihood that this isn't going to last forever, then go for it. It was fun using it.

I have owned several hooded dryers and I wish I could find the same makes and models. This dryer is very cheaply made. The hose is too short and keeps falling out of the hood. The plastic hood does not inflat very well which I feel may take the drying time longer and it feels like it is going to melt.

Got this during the beauty day deals to replace a hard bonnet dryer & I love it! Easy & quick set up, gets HOT (hence it being a dryer😂) like I don't think I'll ever use it on the high setting. With it being a bonnet the heat is mostly contained so your hair dries faster! I wish the hose was longer & the bonnet bigger but it's still great!

Purchased the hair bonnet set even though several reviews were not giving it the best ratings. My old Conair one made my curls look great so I chose to take a chance. It works very good at being hot, crazy hot if I'm not careful thus drying my head within 35 mins or so. Some reviews complained about the hose being too short... I place it on the computer desk and sit a bit close to it. Others complain about it not heating enough... mine is perfect. Some also say that the connection comes off the cap but a simply twist helps keep it in. So far have owned it for over two months and it's going strong. The plastic smell did take quite some time to dissipate due to only using it once a week, it's not so strong now.

I love this hair dryer is the best when you don't have the money to go to the salon and get your hair done, the price on this baby was even better, got it on sale and it has been the best investment ever....

i just received this bonnet dryer today. I have thick wavy/curly hair. I live in a beach climate and have used virtually every diffuser on the market. My hair salon has Deva Curl dryers and I have wished for something like that for home use. This bonnet dryer gave me soft curl and no frizz. Yay!
I will update my review with notes regarding the dryer and its components after a few more uses.

I have had other dryers that had bonnets that could not accommodate larger rollers. This bonnet is plenty big enough. It dries fairly quickly and is comfortable to use for the time I need to spend. My wife and I both use it regularly and we both like it very much.

Used this product last night . The dryer is so loud it says like a freight train . Also , while using the product , be careful , the dryer moves and does not stay still in one place.

Bought this awhile ago and forgot about it and recently used it and it worked perfectly when I was deep conditioning my hair and it gets pretty hot too.

I have a ton of hair and it takes days to air dry but with this dryer I can sit and relax and my hair dries in about an hour or less. Best thing I've ever purchased.
