Most Helpful Positive Review Great product - very poor delivery system I am a 62 year old woman and I love this product. Have used it for several years and hate to be without it. I had never used a primer before and got this in a trial size. I was amazed how soft and smooth it made my face feel. My makeup goes on so much smoother and even. I can definitely tell if I forget to use the primer before putting on my makeup. No problems with breakouts or oily skin. HOWEVER...I hate the delivery system. I never had problems until the last few bottles. At least the last 3 or 4 bottles the pump quits working and won't dispense the primer. At first I thought it was just because the product was low, but when I open the bottle there is a lot of product on the tubing so I end up just putting it on my hand with the tube. When the product is really low you are scraping it out with the tube or your fingers. I have even cut the bottle open to get to the last of the product. I had read another review that said you need to shake, shake, shake the bottle to get the product to dispense. I never had to do that on any of the bottles I had received before, but thought ok I will try that. Didn't seem to help. The last bottle I received I shook before EVERY use from the very start but it did not help at all. Actually the pump on this last bottle was useless. I would pump and pump and get very little product. It takes so little of this product to do a terrific job I feel that I am wasting product and my time and energy. Seems like a company as terrific as BE could come up with better packaging for a great product. I too am very frustrated and would prefer a tube delivery system so I didn't constantly have to work so hard to get to the product.
Most Helpful Critical Review Silicone is not natural I love all BM products except for the primer. It contains silicone, which is not natural. I thought BM products were supposed to contain natural ingredients. The reason I use BM makeup is because it does not contain silicone. I cant find other foundations out there that don't contain silicone, so this was exciting to find out that BM makeup has like 4 ingredients. My skin is oily and acne prone, so silicone is a major no-no for my skin. I hope they come out with a silicone free primer soon!! Does anyone else have problems with silicone?

This really grips my tinted moisturizer. No peeling and I have a 8 step morning skin care regimen. One of the better primers. Costly however I purchased at 21 days of beauty. This is a keeper and I will pay full price. Recommend for aging skin. I am 49 y/o. The pump is awkward but you can work around it. The right primer for your skin makes your makeup pop; it's only taken me 2 years of trying different primers to find a few that work for me. Just give it time to dry after application. It's very silky.

Have used this product for years! It is the best I have found. Only complaint is the difficult removing the rest of the product after the pump can't pump it any more and there is still lots left! I have my own ways of dealing with that BUT a better delivery system would make it even better.

At first I was skeptical if this would actually work but figured I would try it. I feel like it hydrates your face prior to putting on your makeup. You only need a small pea size. So silky and lightweight. I will definitely use this under my makeup. Even with wearing a mask all day at work, My makeup stays on allllllll day!

I saw this had high ratings so I thought I'd try it. It made my face look greasy/shiny after a couple hours and it made my nose break out in tiny white heads after using it for two days.

I am not sure if this is a good product or not? When I called to let Ulta know the representative told me it should have been pkged w/the 3 mascaras I ordered but it wasn't. The representative told me maybe it was shipped seperately? I ordered November 27th & still no bareMinerals foundation primer. So frustrating!

I'm over 50, a redhead and have rosacea. I thought this formula would be more creamy or moisturizing, and non-silicone. My mistake!
It did make my skin bright, but really dried it out as it performs more like a silicone primer than a hydrating vitamin C primer.
If your skin isn't as sensitive, then this might make a great option for you.
I will be sticking with my Exuviance or Smashbox Vitamin C primers.

I can put this on with or without moisturizer. I'm over 65 so I stick with what I know is good. This is good!! I use a powder foundation if that helps. I love this primer by bare minerals!

I have very sensitive skin that gets oily very quickly! I have been using bare minerals makeup for about 1 year as recommended by my dermatologist. It looks great for about 1 hour and then my face gets oily and it rubs off..... I tried the face primer because it is recommended for this issue. My skin looks beautiful for an hour and then gets shiny. I haven't been able to find a product yet that can keep my shine away all day. This one works better than others- but still not the results I wanted.

I use this product every time I wear foundation, which is almost every day. I like this brand and have used this product for many years now. My only issue is that when you are nearly 3/4 of the way through the bottle, you cannot pump out the rest of the product. I use a "lip spatula" (looks like a lip gloss wand) and scrape the sides of the bottle to use all of the product. I can do this for 1-2 weeks, that's how much is left in the bottle. I've mentioned this in a review before. BareMinerals read up!

This primer does wonders but something that really throws me off is that the primer itself smells like gasoline and has a very strong odor.

I only love this primer when I'm using a Bareminerals POWDER foundation. Otherwise, it moves to much and is a bit oily. When I'm wearing a different foundation, I only use it on the perimeter of my face. However, I love to use it on my neck because it doesn't tug the delicate skin like other primers sometimes do.
