Most Helpful Positive Review Duper for Benefit Porefessional
Was looking for a low cost alternative for Benefit's Porefessional. I think I found it.
My skin type is SUPER oily. This did a good job smoothing over my pores/fine lines. Made my foundation last all day with no excessive oil peeking through.
It does pill up when applying, but then again so does Porefessional. Maybe it's my skin, but I still love how it made my makeup last.
I mentioned the fragrance. It doesn't bother me, but wanted to mention it to others who might not like the fragrance. It's an odd chemical/perfumey combination. It doesn't smell on the skin, only when you sniff the product after squeezing some out.
Overall, I'm happy I found a low cost primer alternative!
Most Helpful Critical Review Works well but breaks me out
This primer smooths out my skin and my pores. It's a pinkish nude color, which I really like, and it feels really soft on the skin. It works well as a primer, but I noticed I was starting to break out, especially on my forehead, the same week I started using this. It was the only new product I'd started using, and when I stopped using it, my skin cleared up. It also smells strongly of plastic. I'd avoid it if you have sensitive skin.

Catrice's Prime and Fine Poreless Blur Primer has become my go-to primer, y'all! Background: I'm 46 years old with combination skin that has a pretty oily T-zone, and I'm noticing more fine lines and enlarged pores in the last couple of years. I started trying primers 2 years ago, and I just haven't been fully satisfied with any other brand until this one! I tried sooo many premium brands, paying anywhere between $20 and $30. I got to the point that I would only buy trial sizes because nothing lived up to its hype: all of them would either cause my makeup to slide off within only an hour or two, or it didn't fill in lines and pores as it should, or it just didn't do anything at all for me (I'm looking at you, Too Faced Hangover primer- oh you're a nice moisturizer but a primer you ain't). Then I tried this one by Catrice. I put on my thin moisturizer with SPF, then used a small dab of primer, then I applied my makeup (which also has SPF - I'm for real about sun protection), and then I went out into the steamy 90° and 80% South Carolina day and went about my biz. Y'all, my makeup stayed in place and it looked good, with pores and fine lines minimized. All. Dang. Day. Admittedly, my cheeks needed a little extra moisturizer that night, but it's worth it. 10/10 would recommend.
I love it if your on a budget

Make sure your skin is clean before put on this primer but I have combination skin so I mixes my primers
excellent second primer

i have oily skin with very large pores and use this as a secondary primer. first i use a matte primer either by catrice or wet n wild makes a good one. then i dab not swipe this onto areas with large pores. girl this primer reallllly blurs the skin like a filter and rivals high end primers of the same nature. there are few makeup products i buy twice bc i love to buy new launches and try new products but this one here always has a home in my stash
GG from Arizona
I have tried so many primers, to include expensive high end products and nothing has worked on my large pores until I found this!!!! Awesome product and great value!!!!

light and not greasy! Love this primer!
Surprising for a cheap primer!

This primer is ridiculous, literally blurs your pores, better than elf putty and smashbox pore filler, it's crazy because silicone type of primer's never work for me and still wondering how this covered my pores when it's not even super tinted like the smashbox porefiller and the professional, it's more translucent peach/pink tone, totally different texture and color but def worked better!

Good at blurring but I was an oily mes within a few hours
Didn't expect much

For the price I am shocked really great primer bought it when it was on sale for Bogo and I'm glad I did!
Good for the money

I typically use NYX Angel Veil. I gave this a try. and I don't mind it. It's not too slick and I feel like it helped my pores and fine lines.
Nothing good about this "primer"
RmMorales from OC, CA
Don't waste your money and buy this. It doesn't work and irritated your skin. I love using Monistat chafing relief powder gel as a skin primer. Learned from a YouTube years ago and I never stopped using it since it's only $5.99. I wanted to try something new around same price... yup no just sticking to my Monistat chafing relief powder gel.

Budget friendly good coverage of pores. Will purchase again
Actually shocked! My new go to primer!
Tegan from Hollywood CA
I honestly just apply the product with my fingers and lightly buff into problem areas. I avoid any swiping.
Made me break out in 12 hrs
Nikki from Valencia, CA
Was so excited to use this product so I ran over to ulta purchased it & redid my foundation using the primer as soon as I got home. By 12am had 4 break outs, the primer was starting to feel itchy & had the worst under eye creasing. The primer seemed to make my foundation move around on my skin more than just laying foundation straight on.
I would buy again

I love this concealer. It makes my face feel soft and velvety. However, it doesn't "blur" and conceal pores as well as advertised. But it still does a great job of concealing for under foundation.
Definitely not for dry skin
T. Green from SoCal
Feels great once you apply it to your face and then once you put foundation, concealer and setting powder it begins to separate your foundation and create the worst under eye creasing, makes my foundation look like it's going to flake off.
laurenv from Suburbs of Chicago
This primer literally is so soft your skin feels like high quality velvet right when you put it on. I personally mix a dab of primer in with my foundation at the same time, instead of one before the other, and let me tell you the results are flawlesssss!
I will buy this again and again

I just started using this product, but I will purchase it again. Lightweight on your skins and great coverage.
I would buy this product again its that good
Veronica from El Cajon,CA
I cleanse my face before I put primer because my skin is so oily and the primer usually won't work on my skin but it smooths my flaws on my skin before I put on foundation and concealer. I like this a lot and will buy more soon.
Best Primer ever!

I have used many drugstore primers but this one is the best it helps cover up all my pores! It makes my makeup go on smooth!
Works really well and not at all heavy
Christina from Agawam, MA
Looked at several more expensive brands of this product but settled on a less pricey version since I wasn't sure if this was something I needed. Very satisfied with this brand. I don't use regular foundation but wanted to use something to add a "finish" to my face. This works really well.
Best primer EVER!
Barb from Florida
Sometimes use it without makeup. Makes skin look so nice
Jullie from Charlotte, NC
So inexpensive and yet makes a huge impact on how foundation applies and lays. Love the results.
Best primer ever

I use elf primer, then I heard of this one... by far this one is amazing!!
Lily from Crown Point
If you're looking for a good primer to conceal pores this one ha okay.
Turned to powder/chalk
Maddie from Portage
I got this just for my nose and a little bit on my cheeks. I use Catrice hydrating primer almost everyday and love it so I was so happy when I found this. After applying it several different times and different amounts I'm extremely unsatisfied with this product, even for the low price my expectations were not met. It turned very power/chalk-like and make my foundation over it look terrible. This will definitely be returned.
