Most Helpful Positive Review Love it!!!
Okay so when I saw this I was so excited to try it. I love the applicator, its like nothing I've ever tried before. Its like a q-tip/cotton ball but for your lips. When I tried this on, initially I thought the colors did not match the box, but you have to put it on in coats. The first coat is going to be a light natural finish and color, not as pigmented. The 2nd and 3rd coats will be more like the color on the packaging. I got 3 colors Moody, Cool Intentions and Pop Quiz. Moody is a pretty pink/ mauve color on me. Cool intentions is my perfect nude, with the first coat it looked like my natural lips, like I had nothing on, which I loved! Pop Quiz is a red/wine color, which I also love. It looks so good on me. The finish is true to the discription, a powdery satin matte.
Cons: It is transferable, especially depending on how much you apply. It can be drying, so make sure to exfoliate and put on moisturizing lip balm first.
Most Helpful Critical Review Good but not Great
I was so excited to find on my doorstep a cute little package from NYX! I tried out the Powder Puff Lippie in the shade puppy love. The shade is a pinky melon tone and I really love the cute puff applicator. With just a little squeeze of the tube, a lot of product comes out and you get full coverage with just a few swipes. Only thing I'm not a fan of is that it did not completely dry down to a powdery-soft finish. There is a good bit of transfer as well.

I bought Moody and it is a muted berry color. It gives a very chic, sophisticated look. Beautiful.

The color of the tube is nothing like the pigment.

The color of the tube is nothing like the pigment.

Its a nice color but horrible to try and use. Its too thick to squeeze through the pom pom applicator. I had to pull off the top and apply with a lip brush. Horrible considering the soft applicator was supposed to be a great feature and a selling point. Would not buy again. Disappointing.
AuntieJennsKitties from PNW
It was difficult to get the color to flow. Once it did, the colors were beautiful. A lip liner is a must to keep color within the lines.

Really liked this!! Super comfy to wear and doesn't fade weird! Definitely worth trying out if you're curious.
Love, Love, Love!

I purchased the Lippie in Cool Intensions and it's the perfect neutral color! I love the fact that it's creamy but still matte. It can even withstand wearing a mask. The only note is that the color sample online is very different than the actual true shade. It helps tohave the models wearing the actual shades for accuracy.
WHAT EVEN IS THIS

You squeeze AND pump to get the product out and it's just TERRIBLE. the product comes out onto the applicator uneven and just disgusting. I got the Orange because it looked vibrant and neon like I wanted. Because of the way the product comes out it ended up looking like literal cheeto dust on my lips. So buy this product if you want colorful chip dust on your lips!
Color not as advertised!

The product itself isn't bad but the color is way off! I bought the squad goals color thinking it looked like the perfect nude shade only to try it on and get bright pink lips! Disappointed that I wasted my money.

I got this to try something new because I am not a big lip product person. I usually find a lipstick I like and stick with it. I love the color and it feels silky of my lips. It took me a little bit when I first opened it to get it to come out, but it is easy to apply and lasts pretty long through the day. Will definitely be getting this again and trying more colors!
I would buy this product again

Nice smooth lipstick, gives a long lasting color!
Decent product, color is a bit of a gamble

I like the color I got (pop quiz) but like other reviews say, you shouldn't trust the images or tube that come with it to give you a sense for what color it will be. On the website the color looks super dark (in the photos a dark maroon and in the color selector and almost brown-black), but it's actually much lighter and brighter, more like a red wine color. The color most similar to what you'll get on the website is the picture with all of the arms with color swatches on them, just expect the color to be a little lighter than that. I just went with a shade a knew would look good even if the color was potentially off- the images they give you of color are computer generated anyhow (I hope people know that).
The product itself is a cute idea. You have to put on quite a bit to get the color to be dark. If you like to build up color from light to dark, or like to overlay colors I guess this would be a good product for you. Don't expect to get good edges out of it. I would use the applicator to put on most of it, but then a lip brush to do the edges. In terms of how well it dries I'd say it's pretty average. After about an hour it's dry enough but it will still leave a mark on a glass or will stain your boyfriend's face. I wouldn't use it if I was planning to eat right after anyway.

I love the Korean lip tint look, but I always have dry or flaky lips so lip tints look awful and patchy on me. This gives you that same look but without the drying time and preciseness required while working with a lip tint. Do keep in mind it's not like a liquid lipstick, this is more for that soft and blushing/powdery look rather a full coverage one. than I got the shade "Teacher's Pet" and it's a nice rosy peach color
Love the color hate the puff
blulu from canton, Ga
so this product is incredibly hard to squeeze and then get it to come out of the puff. I would have to squeeze the tube and then squeeze the path and then it would be all over my fingers and then I would just put it on my lips my fingers, which is totally not the use of this product but the puff becomes a relevant at that point. I haven't gotten a chance to look and see if Nix has this exact same color in a different packaging such as a lip gloss a stick or something else but I HATE THE PUFF. The color payoff is 10 out of 10 though I really like it and it goes super well with a gloss.
Not but this product

Too dry to apply

I got this in the colors squad goals and cool intentions. Colors were pretty. Formula had a lot of slip to it and seems to want to feather so better with a liner. I think part of that is the applicator, hard to be precise. Strange oiliness, didn't last. Honestly I decluttered these pretty quickly, disappointed. Nyx has better lipstick formulas than this.

I got this in the shade boy's tears and it was frustrating. I can't get enough in the applicator to make it work right so I removed the darn thing and with a lip brush the color is just off. Definitely wouldn't recommend
borke_beauty_ from MetroDetroit
I usually adore NYX lippies. My collection has 15 bullet Matts so far. This one I'm sadly not a fan of the application and pay off. I ended up removing the Sponge And next time I want to try it I'm going to use a lip brush hoping for a more precise application.

I have prank call and group love . Both vibrant colors ! Soft formula . I like that I can't feel it on my lips. I didn't have any problems dispersing the product. Last about 4 hours unless you eat. Not for tight lining for sure!
Love as a first-time lipstick wearer!

I am not the type of gal to wear a lipstick - I have a small but very defined set of lips. This was my first time trying a product like this. In the past I've just worn random lip gloss or tinted chapstick. The color and finish is BEAUTIFUL! Still feeling moisturized but not "wet" or slippery. I got Teacher's Pet - which is a muted, dusty red. It was a very approachable experience when combined with a lip liner. It was easy for a newbie to get a perfect application. The only downside is not being able to tell how much product is being pushed through the poof. I feel like I had to squeeze and squeeze to get anything through, and then there was suddenly too much. I haven't worn it for hours on end yet - but so far it has withstood straw drinking with little transfer, once it sets. It takes a while to dry down.
Disappointed in application and color payoff
Andrea from Iowa
I got the color Detention (deep plum purple) as a birthday gift from a friend, and I was excited to try it because of the good reviews it has, but I was really disappointed by it. I can never squeeze enough product onto the applicator to cover my lips, unless I squeeze too hard and get too much product. Then it doesn't apply evenly, leaving patches near the inside of my lips, especially on the bottom. Plus, the formula doesn't ever seem to set and comes off on everything my mouth touches, leaving it looking even more patchy.
The applicator also is difficult to use if you want to create a sharp line around the edge of your lips, but based on the promotional pictures, it looks like it's being used to create more hombre effects. Also, for someone who likes bold lipsticks, the color doesn't give me enough payoff. I think it's better as a soft to medium wash of color on your lips.
The formula feels so good and creamy, and it does provide that powdery finish that is so beautiful, but it fails at its most basic purpose--to color my lips.
My Absolute Favorite
Alvarez from Portland, Oregon
I'm a bold lips kinda gal and I use these everyday. They're so affordable and it's very long lasting and comfortable to wear. It's completely foolproof and I feel like there's no easier way to apply lipstick.

Loved it. Not overly drying
Perfect Product, Terrible Packaging
Cynurita from Sacramento
This matte lip is so comfortable, not drying AT ALL, and it feels very hydrating. And it's LONG LASTING! I ate, drank and not once did the color smudge or rub off. Don't get it twisted though you won't be struggling to take it off at night. The only caveat to this lipstick is the applicator it's really hard to stay in the lines of your lips because of it's awkward shape. You will most definitely need a lip liner with this or else it's just a big mess. I usually will put the product on one of my own lip brushes so i have better precision.
Such a pretty color!
Alexandra from Houston, TX
I love this, it's not drying on the lips and has a matte look to it without making your lips look dry and it has a soft touch.
