Most Helpful Positive Review I'm not sure why this product has such bad reviews.
I tried this product without reading any reviews first. I was surprised at how it actually made the pores on my nose disappear (with the help of some Milani concealer). The trick is, you have to let this primer sit for about 3 minutes before applying foundation or concealer. I noticed that once it has a chance to settle, it really works. I tried the Milani primer and it worked well too, but this product is cheap and lasts all day. Let it soak into your skin before applying your makeup :)
Most Helpful Critical Review NOT for the naturally oily!!!
I'm glad this was cheap, because it sure is a disappointment. While it does help with minimizing pores (I think--I use Maybelline's Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation and It's Bye Bye Pores translucent powder, so it's hard to tell how much the primer helps)...it does NOT keep you matte AT ALL! My face is naturally oily, so I need all the help I can get...and this sure isn't it! My face is WAY shinier than usual in my problem areas (t-zone)...AND my non-problem areas are super shiny too!! This is the first day I've used the primer and went to my office job...and was SUPER embarrassed when I just saw my face in the bathroom mirror--it looks like someone sprayed my face with cooking spray!! My face doesn't even get this shiny when I don't wear any makeup and am sweating in the heat all day. And then when I went to blot my face--so I don't look like a greased pig--most of my foundation came off. Icing on the cake right there. Needless to say, I will NOT be purchasing this again--or using it again. And since returns by mail aren't free and the closest Ulta store is over an hour away, I'm going to try to give this primer to a friend with super dry skin...because I'm pretty sure those are the only people for whom this primer works!

Smell just horrible
Smells bad and moves around
Lisa from Boston
The smell is bad when you first put it on. Yes it dissipates but it's annoying at first. The formula is a lot more liquidy than I thought it'd be. It also definitely makes my face feel smoother but it also makes it feel very oily. Will never buy again and most likely trash the one I bought.
Would buy again

I can overlook the smell since it's not repugnant.

I think this is a great dupe for some expensive products. It works very well, and you only need a small amount so it last a while. It didn't have a very strong smell in my opinion, and it won't stop me from buying it again

Yes it does work but the smell is so strong and potent. I would definitely recommend the Poreless Putty Primer over this.
Anne from PA
I have tried lots of pore primers. I have large pores and make up accentuates them!! This primer actually works!!
Works! Priced right!

I'm always open and easy on products I use but this was the worst thing I bought. I rarely break out from certain products but this just made me red right away and gave pimples. It's kinda greasy too. Research ur primer ingredients before buying!
Jimmothy from Orange, CT
Having dealt with acne and enlarged pores for years now but still love makeup, I have tried a plethora of primers to try to combat my issues. This is the only primer I've found that seemed to actually work as promised. It's like my ginormous pores are just magically erased the minute I apply this product. It's so smooth and feels so refreshing on the skin as well. I'd use it as a moisturizer too if I needed to even if I wasn't going to apply makeup over it. I've noticed that some primers make the makeup that gets put over top of them look cakey or thick or just generally uneven, but this primer seems to be compatible with every brand of makeup i've applied along with it so far. The only down side to this product is that it did seem to make my face a bit oily. For the price, this primer cannot be beat.
Maybe wouldn't purchase again

Just bought this one don't know how I feel about the primer itself yet but it has a really bad smell like chemicals that really bothers me
Do Not Buy
CheyanneK from Queens,NYC
I bought this primer when I was first starting out in makeup and I regret it so much. It did nothing for my pores at all and the amount of product that you get in it is less than half of the bottle.

I believe this is party are picked for a beginner come out which is why I bought it. I wanted to see if I had not only like the product, but if I would ever been to using a primer. I will say it using primer Has improved my make up. But I bought this as a first timer/beginner, and because of that I will say I have gotten better make up a cheaper price. For the price point is not bad, however I am not a big fan of the smell. It has a medicinal and pungent odor common that will fade by it will be on your face in her hands you can immediately smell it. it does leave a smoother texture on my skin. Over all, I will say that is great for beginners considering its price point or people that just need a cheaper option.
I have dry to normal skin
best thing since sliced bread
clpett3 from TN
I have oily skin with large pores. This primer does an excellent job of minimizing my pores and making my makeup look amazing all day. I press this into my face with a beauty blender then apply setting powder on top before my foundation since my face is so oily. Doesn't break me out or clog my pores either
Not sure how to feel...
girton77 from Hanover Park, IL
I am new to using primers. Let's start there.
I purchased this primer because I loved the texture (apparently I'm alone in this lol) and I thought it would help give me that airbrushed look. Because when I wear liquid foundation you can see every crinkle and crease and pore and it makes me not want to wear makeup. So, I thought this primer would help. My 13 year old also has the same problem with foundation looking terrible and the primer doesn't help her either.
I still like the feel. And we will continue to use it. I'm hoping it is just user error as we are both new to this. I will update this if my feelings change.
This is great and you can't beat the price!

This has really changed how my make up looks on me. Smooths the pores and fine lines.
Looks good- smells bad
RPVrando from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA
The first thing that really hit me was the smell. I have a really sensitive nose and that bothered me all throughout application. Perhaps that's the dimethicone? I will say that it did a great job blurring my face. Pores? Don't know them. The pump gives a pretty good amount out of the bottle. Some of the more negative reviews say that it made other products difficult to layer but I did not have this issue. But, with my combo skin I do usually apply primer to my nose area, so that sucked. Awesome primer, terrible smell.
Rip Off-Deceptive Packaging-Beware
Valorie from IL
If you pick this up in the store, beware! The packaging has no amount of product listed on it. The bottle makes it appear to have a product well of about 2 1/4" deep by 1" wide. It actually has an insert well of about 1/4 deep by maybe 1/4". In other words, very deceptive to someone who has not read on line here that it contains less than 1/2 oz. of product, like my elderly Mother. Shame on these people. Look at the pic upload,
the "bottom" inside view shows the teeny tiny actual product well.
Gabriela007 from Menifee, Ca.
This product smells like Blaster! Yes, that spray people use to loosen bolts. It is greasy and runny, it went on my bathroom vanity, instead of my face. The only good thing about this product is that it cleans my bathroom vanity well. Elf Poreless Primer is not a good product & needs to be re-evaluated for human use. Don't waste your money on this product.
not the best but not bad either
Alaura from Riverside, CA
I put this primer to the test today. I went to an outdoor farmers market in the heat, the grocery store, then to lunch and sat in traffic I've the course of 5hrs. By time I got home it was starting to wear off and I didn't look near as good as when I left the house but my makeup was still on my face which is better than other low-end/cheap primers I have tried in the past.
it is pretty oily but if you apply a thin amount it really isn't bad at all. Also it smells really good lol.
Would I buy again? Ehh... probably not unless I had to but if you can't afford other options than this is totally a viable option.
Moni from Texas
This is not a full day primer, it only lasted 4 hours max! And made me break out every time !
