Most Helpful Positive Review Love it Curl my hair 3x a week, ER nursing and my curls last my entire 12 hour shift in my naturally super straight hair!
Most Helpful Critical Review Nope! I have bra-strap-length, highlighted (i.e. somewhat damaged) hair and wave/curl at least a few times each week. I've been doing this for over a decade and have many different irons, mostly Hot Tools. One of them finally bit the dust this week and I decided to try this one because I love my Babybliss hairdryer.... ugh. First, the whole thing feels a lot cheaper than the Hot Tools irons, from the cord to the buttons, etc. (more like a Revlon or Conair.) Then, the cool tip was not nearly as cool nor quite as long as the Hot Tools -- I kept feeling the heat and let a few profanities slip when I kept burning my fingers on the iron just trying to hold onto the cool tip. Finally, the curls didn't stay at ALL compared to my Hot Tools curls. Returning and going back to the old faithful.

Heats up quickly, easy to use. Great size barrel for the curls/waves I was looking for.
Not the best for me 2

Both my daughter and I tried to use this curling iron but it just didn't work well for us.

Great curls! 5

I love this curling iron. My hairstylist has this one and I had to get. It gives me the best curls and I love the adjustable heat settings.
Great until it suddenly stopped working 2
Amanda from Chicago, IL
Loved this curling iron despite its archaic design until one day it just stopped working. That's quite disappointing considering I've only had it for about 3 months.
Hopeful 3

Have the 3/4 in and I love the curls but it fries my hair. Once I get good hair product to protect hair and tame frizz, it should give a better result. And If so i will love the iron and curls that it creates.
Really like it 4
Nurse T from NJ
I am so glad I bought this curling iron. It makes my old one look like a piece garbage. It curls my hair much quicker and they last longer. The only negative is the tip which I see a lot of people mention. It's too short and gets hot as well. I'll just have to adjust the way I use it so I won't burn myself.
Curl held even in my fine straight hair 4
Remi's Cool Nana from Tulsa, Oklahoma
My hair is fine and straight so need some curl to frame my face. It was hot enough to accomplish this while not burning my hair. Love the temp adjust.
Only thing I would change is the plastic tip could be larger to allow you to hold without burning your fingers.
Would buy again. Great price point
Did NOT love it. 1

I bought this curler after purchasing the babyliss pro prima 3000 thinking it would be better since it's designed specifically for curls. I was wrong. The oro prima 3000 is amazing and I love it for curls and for flat styling. The curling iron did not impress me.
Best curling iron ever!! 5
Kelli722 from Dallas, Texas
This was the first curling iron I've ever had that doesn't make my hair smell bad, and produces beautiful curls! Super easy to use, grips the hair without tugging, and heats up quickly. The ONLY thing I wish for was that the finger tip was a little bigger. BUT that's okay, I am not an expert at all, and that's probably just my own issue lol! Over all in love with it!! You won't be sorry!!
Junk, I'm returning this curling iron 1
Molly from Portland, OR
The tip of the iron is too small and gets hot so you can't even touch it when you're using it. And my curls went flat after only a few hours. I've used Hot Tools and even Revlon curlers in the past and they both work great. This one is garbage.
great 5

I like the way it curls. No burn spots. No auto shutoff but that's ok.

I use this product to curl the top of my hair and it does a nice job.
I would definitely not buy this product again 1

Difficult to use.....easy to get burned!
Be careful of tip - not enough room to use your hand 1
Denise from Columbia, sc
Again, be careful of the tip, it is very small and in that the tip and the actual curling iron are both black, you can very easily burn your hand. Would not recommend. I'm a BIG fan of this brand but not this one.
I would buy again. 5

Great curl and heats up quick. Very affordable.
Perfect iron for thin, fine hair 5
Baby Fine Hair from Orlando
Been having problems with hair breakage for awhile. Never thought is was from my old curling iron. A few days ago, my hair singed from the front of my head. I immediately went to Ulta to look at a better alternative curling iron. I purchased others from discount stores or a drug store. At Ulta, I found this model and couldn't be more happy with it. It will take a while for my hair to grow in the areas it needs to, but at least I am not doing more damage with this new styling tool.
Great product!!! 5

Exactly what I was looking for! My hair is thin and this works perfectly. Great product at a great price!!
I would buy this product again 5
Anna from Green Bay
The high heat on this product makes my frizzy, dry, thick, uncontrollable hair look sleek, and tamed. 5/5 stars.
No auto turn off! 1
Eveicakes from New Orleans
This product doesn't have an auto turn off feature! Forgot to turn off last night, grabbed the barrel by accident & now have 2nd degree burns on 4 fingers!

I have had one day with it. Had my natural curly hair and at night I was doing my hair for a night out. I curled my hair how I normally do with any other curling iron. The curls came out good and looked smooth but it was hard to hold on to the tip of the curling iron. I don't like that knowing how fast I want to get my hair done. By the end of the hour while I was changed and ready to go my curls were down. My niece has the babybliss blue curling iron in size 1 1/4 which is what I wanted but Ulta doesn't carry it. I will try using it again before giving up and returning. I will comment again if I change my mind about it so far not worth the money.
Perfect shiny waves! 4
Blondemama from Seattle wa
I've used hot tools 24k gold irons for years. Never liked the way my hair stayed frizzy even once curled, and How tight the iron clamped my hair. Also wanted to find something that would cause least damage while styling. I was advised by the stylists at Ulta to use irons with ceramic or at least ceramic coating, to keep damage to minimum since I have color treated hair. I have used titanium in the past, and they style amazing but feel like they dry and damage my hair instantly.
This iron meets all my needs! Love the 1 1/4in barrel! (Previously used 1" or 1 1/2" and this is much better, the perfect size curls). My hair slides right along the barrel, no snagging at all and doesn't feel stuck in the iron while curling. The curls come out beautiful, soft and shiny. Hair doesn't feel dry or damaged. Plus the price point is not too crazy.
If you're looking for a shiny beautiful curl or beachy wave, give this iron a try!
