How to Use

Consult the enclosed user guide prior to use. Begin with dry, detangled hair. Divide hair at the temples and secure the top half out of the way. Then divide the bottom half into 1-2'' sections to begin styling. Secure the ends of a section underneath the clamp and roll upwards, wrapping the hair evenly around the barrel. Hold for a few seconds, then release the clamp. For loose, wavy curls, tug slightly on the ends before allowing it to cool.

Precautions: Use a heat resistant glove when styling to protect against accidental burns in case your hand comes in contact with the heated barrel.

Ive had this curler for about a week now and I was really nervous to try it because most of the reviewers said it made their hair smell burnt. Well after a week of trying it with my favorite Bumble and Bumble products (thickening spray- for volume) and (hairdresser's invisible oil primer- heat protectant-gets rid of frizz) I can say that is false. I have long curly hair so in order for my hair to hold I have to use HEAT so i use setting 4 (this setting is SOOOO hot) My hair DOES NOT smell burnt. You cannot buy an item this expensive and pair it with a $5 heat protectant. No wonder their hair smells burnt. Do not miss out on a great styling tool. I did not purchase a trio, I decided to pick attachments out separately as I decided to pick a few more out the day after my initial purchase due to wanting to take advantage of the sale prices, and when each arrived I would rush to try it out only to find that NONE of them would hold a curl in my hair for more than a half hour. At first I thought it was just the largest size barrel being the problem but I soon found out it was the same for all of them! I tried with hairspray, without, with gel, etc..I would work with each one for a few days in different ways to see if I could get it to hold without any success. 5 minutes after curling I would notice the curls quickly dropping until an hour later my head looked like I had flat ironed it! I have never experienced that to that degree with any other iron in my life and I am quite experienced with curling irons, including other luxury brands. I literally have an old Conair iron from when I was a teenager that holds curl better than this! My hair is fine but there is a good amount of it and it is not chemically processed, but it is naturally wavy-curly and usually has semi-decent success clinging to a more curled shape naturally and good success if I use products. Not with the T3. Such a disaster. I was so sad because this curling iron system is absolutely beautiful, made solidly and made my hair so soft and shiny but I could use it as more of a shine enhancing flat iron than I could as a curling iron. I don't know what it is about this iron that repels holding a curl in my hair. I felt this review needed to be written though because all I seem to see is positive reviews and I know I can't be the only fine haired person that has had this issue before so I would be wary if your hair is hard to curl, because I wouldn't even classify mine as that and it sure was with this! Sadly all the iron parts are being returned and I will take my business elsewhere.
