Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit is an iconic spa formula that makes anywhere-hair removal - from eyebrow arches to ankles - a breeze. No strips, no appointment needed.
  • Safe, low-temp, no-strip wax hardens quickly making it fast and easy to use; colorful blue formula for precise application
  • Wax shrink-wraps each follicle to remove even the shortest, coarsest and most stubborn hair from the root, so skin stays smoother longer
  • Chamomile oil makes it gentle enough for the most sensitive skin, leaving skin soft without irritation.
  • 1. Place the Bliss Poetic Waxing cup in a microwave oven and heat in 30-second intervals, until the wax is the consistency of thick honey. A full cup usually takes up to five to six 30-second intervals to melt the wax to the desired consistency. Actual heat times may vary depending on your microwave and the amount of wax in the cup. If wax is too thin, allow to cool and thicken in the microwave before removing.
    • NOTE: To ensure even heating and optimal performance of wax, stir semi-melted wax between each 30-second microwave interval.
    • If the wax gets too cool during waxing, simply re-heat cup for 30-second intervals until ready. If wax is too thin, allow to cool and thicken in the microwave before removing.
    • The cup may be warm to the touch so always remove from the microwave by using the handle. HOT WAX CAN BURN.
    • DO NOT heat cup on the stovetop, in a conventional oven, or any other manner besides as instructed.
    2. Before you begin, use a spatula to test the wax temperature on the inside of your wrist. Wax should be spreading consistency but not be uncomfortably hot.
    3. Cleanse the area to be waxed with lukewarm water or a damp towel and blot dry. Then massage a few drops of Pre- & Post-Waxing Oil into the skin. Blot away any excess oil, as it may keep the wax from gripping.
    4. Dip a spatula in the wax, and twirl to avoid dripping.
    5. Apply the wax AGAINST the direction of hair growth for short hair (bikini, lip, chin, cheeks and eyebrows), or WITH the direction of growth for longer hair (legs, arms and underarms).
    • BLISS TIP: When you apply the wax, layers should be as thick as a banana peel (about 1/8¿). Make sure to use some pressure when applying the wax, to form firm and full edges for easy peeling.

    6. When the wax has dried enough so it is not tacky to the touch, it is time to remove (but don¿t wait too long ¿ wax may crack). Press down on the entire patch to ensure a uniform removal, then hold the skin tight, grab an end, and remove the wax in a brisk fashion against the direction of hair growth.
    • BLISS TIP: After removing the wax, apply immediate pressure to the waxed area to dull any discomfort.

    7. If you need to wax the same area more than once, reapply Pre- & Post- Waxing Oil as necessary.
    8. Once you have finished, cleanse the area with lukewarm water or a damp towel to help prevent ingrown hairs, and follow with Pre- & Post- Waxing Oil to soothe skin and remove any residue.
    • BLISS TIP: To further prevent ingrown hairs and bumps, we recommend a swipe of Bliss¿ Bump Attendant¿ Ingrown Eliminating Pads the day after your waxing session.

Comments about Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit:

Disregard the 30 second intervals. Put it in for a good 2 minutes initially and then check and stir from there. It doesn't stick to skin but you have to lay it down thick with a lip in your desired pulling direction. I used this for at home eyebrow and brazilian waxing. It does break apart when it's too thin or too large of a covered area. I just switched back to hard wax from soft with strips and it takes some getting used to with the difference in proper technique.

Comments about Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit:

This takes some patience and practice, but once you get the hang of it, it's fantastic.

Bought it to keep the skin on my arms and chest clean and allow my tattoos to be seen. It only sticks to the hair, and doesn't tug at the skin.

It has to be put on fairly thick for guys. When it says "banana peel" thickness, they mean it! But, compared with other hot waxes and the prices you pay for at women's salons (which I've never felt comfortable getting waxed in), the ability to get the clean look at home is awesome.

          Ouch

          By Sally

          from Virginia

Comments about Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit:

Lots of people say this works great but it really hurt, I tried this on my underarms and bikini line and it took so long and so much pain. It was breaking into pieces. I think this could be a great product but I also think I would prefer wax with strips, if Bliss made one I would absolutely try it but this I wouldn't use again.

Comments about Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit:

I've never been able to actually use this because the wax never gets hot enough, with the 30 second interrverals. The one time I thought it would work by the time I got to my bedroom it was already solid again.

          Doesn't work in microwaves ?

          By kathleen

          from PA

Comments about Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit:

I'm honestly so confused because I bought this and was super excited but the cup that is marketed as completely microwaveable literally sparked in my microwave and now it smells burnt. Did not work at all.

Comments about Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit:

I have been wanting to try hot wax on my arms and legs for a long time. After reading the mixed reviews I am skeptical of having to use it product as I don't want to damage my skin in case instructions go wrong. It seems like I need to look for other product that could give effective results.

          Terrible!!!

          By stephunny

          from colorado

Comments about Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit:

I've used many different types of at home wax, and this by far is the worst! It peels off in pieces, I've tried it several times, and each time it takes me 30 minutes to pull off every little piece. Don't waste your money!

I was amazed by how quick and easy this worked. Yes it hurt, but was minimal. I had the worst waxing experience my first 2 times and swore never again. It must be the oil included because this just easy. I did my lip first and will be moving on...

            a meh kind of product

            By Marge

            from Portland, OR

Comments about Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit:

The one thing I will say about this, is that you HAVE to follow the instructions. You HAVE to apply the oil first. You HAVE to apply a thick layer. And you HAVE to wait for it to completely dry. If u don't do all these things perfectly right, you will end up with a hot mess of a wax (literally).
