Most Helpful Positive Review Amazing for pigments!
I bought this a little while ago and it works great with pigments.. there is some glitter in my pigments and it doesn't work best for that but that's why it's called "pigment primer" :)
Most Helpful Critical Review Not impressed.
I originally intended to get a different nyx primer that I had read reviews on but saw this one first in the store and decided to give it a try. I use this for an eyeshadow primer. I apply in the morn Me and by mid day my eyeshadow has worn off and creased a ton. Not impressed l, would not buy again, would not recommend.

The primer does feel a little heavy on the eyelid but it works well! I would most definitely recommend especially if you're looking for something affordable.
Love the glitter primer

Must have without it the shadow appears very sheer. The primer grips the shadow giving you the look that you desire...
Finally something that worked for my combination skin

I actually bought this as part of a Christmas gift package for something else (it was on sale!), but I used this when I ran out of my other primer. WOW. I never went back.
Good pigment concealer

I really like this product, it is thick and sticky so it catches eye shadow really well, I do wish it did come in a slightly bigger bottle, but luckily I don't do my makeup that often.
Can't recommend it
Elke from OC, CA
Don't know if I got a bad batch or what, but this did not make my eye makeup last at all. Disappointed.
Favourite purchase from NYX

This primer does wonders. I have oily eyelids so naturally whatever I put on my eyes creases within 30 minutes. That's why a primer is crucial for me. Pigments NEVER crease when I use this product. I come home after 12 hours and my makeup still looks perfect. Gonna try to use it with pressed shadows as well. Love this product!!!

Used it for a girls night out and it held Great!!!
Best purchase of 2019

I usually use mac paint pot however i purchased some loose pigments (from another copmany) and also I love using pressed pigments but they would stick to my eye for maybe an hour and then just disappear from my eyelids. I came across a article on line for ways to make pigments last and this was there thank goodness I got this product my eye makeup lasts all day. A little goes a long way. So when and if i ever run out ill be getting this again.
Best pigment primer ever!
Chantal from Westminister, Colorado
This is my 1st time using this and all I can say is wow!! My eye shadow or pigments stay in place all day. Really does its job!

Makes my shimmer shadows POP! Also definitely helps shadow last longer on my hooded eyelids vs no primer.
Creases so bad!!!

I was excited to try a more affordable primer from a brand I've trusted with a lot of makeup products. I am SUPER disappointed at this primer, or creases terribly and leaves your eyeshadow looking terrible towards the end of the day. Do not recommend if you use dark shadows that are highly pigmented.
Best primer for the best price!
Tater Tot from Louisville, KY
This eyeshadow primer has been the absolute best one I've ever used, it keeps my eyeshadow locked all day, it lasted through a full on crying mental breakdown I had at work (+ the 6 hour shift) and didn't budge, and it lasted through the time I was in a music video and sweated a LOT and it stayed on through all the takes and the humidity! I recommend this product to everyone ♥
Not only for glitter

First time using a primer. Did what it was sold to do!
My eye shadow lasted for hours!

I used this product for the first time and was extremely satisfied....at the end of the night my eye shadow was still poppin!
This is the only pigment primer I use!
Christine from Aurora, CO
I put this all over my lid and it works great to prevent eyeshadow form moving around and creasing. I have really oily lids but you can't tell with this primer.
I love this primer
Kendall15 from Knoxville TN
I hope they never discontinue this or the glitter primer. First I squish up the tube bc with new tubes, oils will come out before the thicker primer. I then apply this all over the lid and set with a nude shadow or translucent powder and blend my crease colors. You can use this for glitters too, but I do a cut crease with the glitter primer on top of the set pigment primer and apply glitters with my finger. This will last over 24 hours without creasing on very oily lids. It will make any shadow vibrant and they blend beautifully on top.
Not what I expected...

So I was recommended this as a glitter glue. The lady that worked there said people used it all the time as a glitter glue even though it says pigment primer. So I get home to try it out and it definitely is not a glitter glue and not sticky what so ever. If you get it as a primer for color it works pretty good especially for the price.
Well Suited for your Trashcan
alsabettisoup from Dallas
oily & greasy, doesn't prime the eyes for eyeshadow at all, instead ruins the staying power and application.
Used it another way with fab results!
Yoli from Albuquerque
For me this did not work when used as directed. Taking full ownership that this could be due to user error. Ha ha! But when I used it as a mixing medium for NYX pigments instead of a primer ...Wow! Made the pigment creamy, easy to apply, vivid, and long lasting as a shadow! Much better than the nyx mixing medium.
Does it actually come with a special gift
Kookie from Ny
just get the glitter primer
julia from st louis
this will work better than just putting a pigment on bare skin but if you really want your pigments to show up and last on the skin youre much better off getting the glitter primer
I liked it better than urban decays potion primer
Lilly from Texas
I had purchased urban decays potion primer expecting miracles and really it was a bit disappointing. It might've been the way I do my makeup but regardless no pigment would stick ): After purchasing this nyx one i found my lids were less creased and the colors were way more vibrant than they'd ever been. Really really good and will be purchasing again along with their nyx glitter primer
Great Primer for loose pigments, mineral shadow!
Elle from Grand Rapids, MI
I found that this product works really well with loose pigments and mineral shadows. It is a sticky type of primer so you do not get the opacity of some other types of primer will give, but I layer a light even amount on top of a shadow base if I feel like I need the coverage. I do not set this primer. It takes away from the tackiness that this primer is meant to leave. One of the key things with using this product is that you do not need to use a ton of it. It also works well if you apply makeup in a patting motion at first. If you try to just swipe on the eyeshadows this primer will not perform as well as a standard base. I believe that this primer works as well or better than Primer Potion when you are using loose shadows, shadows that tend to have fallout or when using a pressed pigment. If you are looking for a primer that will help bring out the pigments of your eyeshadows, I recommend giving this primer a try. If you are just looking for a standard primer that will hide veins or will just smooth out your eyelid than maybe this is not what you want.

works better than I expected holds everything in place.
