Most Helpful Positive Review Great Primer
I have tried quite a few primers and have not found one I liked until this one. Nyx and Covergirl made me break out. Benefit, Hard Candy and Neutrogena pilled on my face even before applying my makeup. This primer reminds me of the consistency of the Too Faced Primed and Porless but it feels more moisturizing. I have tried my makeup both without and with the primer back to back and I do believe it smooths and improves the look of my skin. I have some breakouts going on right now and on the day I wore this primer it was so much easier to spot conceal my breakouts as there was no dryness or odd texture I had to work with. On the day I went without the primer my breakouts were much harder to cover and were textured looking as per usual. I do recommend like with any primer to let it sink in for at least a couple of minutes before going in with concealer or foundation. There is a bit of tackiness left behind but I like that as it helps to grip the makeup. Overall my makeup wore very well with this and it created a nice canvass for my base products. I would recommend you give this a try if you are looking for a new primer.
Most Helpful Critical Review Back to the Drawing Board on these Revlon
I pruchased the primer the .... hydrating one pink bottle....the formula is thick and weird ..... I am assuming that there needs to be some more silicone or slip agents something to thin this out a bit... as far as the claim that it is hydrating .. it is not... just a thick film almost akin to feeling like clear saran wrap over my face .... I wouldn't recommend this because the texture is a weird thick glue like consistency... I would advise you to re - think buying one of these at the revlon display ... I didn't even get to wear this under my new mineral powder foundation because this is too drying ! Trashed it , one use , buyer beware

Truly one of the best primers. I have used designer brand makeup primers, that were nothing more than a major disappointment, for the price. This one, however, grips very well. I use it with and without any additional makeup, except a light dusting of loose powder in my t-zone. Plumps those pesky fine lights around the eyes and mouth area, while leaving my skin feeling moisturized.
Heather from Connecticut
This actually burned my skin. I used this for 3 days and my skin was so red flaky and painful. This also made the texture of skin look horrible. One of the worst primers I have ever used.
Do not get this primer
Diamond from Pennsylvania
I liked the dewy finish it gave my makeup because I like that look, but the day I used this it broke me out horribly. I woke up with clear skin and went to bed with 7 bumps on my cheek. No no
Disappointed in Packaging
Ali from Sunshine Coast, Australia
I would love to give a higher rating. The product does seem to do as claims but unfortunately the packaging has let this product down and therefor a lower rating. I have not been able to pump the product from the bottle since bought. Nothing more annoying that having to unscrew the bottle and wipe it into my hand every time I want to use it. I will be hesitant to buy again just in case it wasn't a one off issue. A free replacement would be awesome and I will be more than happy to recommend to all my friends and re-post a happier review!
Good product but faulty, cheap packing made it worthless.
DisJuJu from Savannah, GA
The product worked great; however, after only a few uses, the pump stopped working. I resorted to taking the top off and gathering some product from the pump stem to use. Then the stem fell off into the product. Cheap packaging made this unusable for me even though I liked the product.
Love love love!

I feel like this primer really held onto my foundation, doesn't wear off or separate. I was really surprised but it will be a staple in my make up routine
Erica from Portland, OR
I got this primer after seeing the first few 5 star ratings. I thought it was going to be this amazing primer but it's not in my book at all. As other reviewers noted it does have shimmer in it which I don't like! Plus it doesn't make for a great canvas which to put your makeup on over. It's too greasy.
TParty from Colorado
The product has a shine infused with it, which I'm surprised because there is no "glow" in the product description.
I only gave it one day to try and it stung my face and was very uncomfortable in the heat of the summer. In the end I returned it. I went for the Smashbox Vitamin Glow Primer.
Isa from florida
This is the first time trying it, it just burn my skin as soon as i put it on. Its probablu because the chemicals it have, but i wouldnt recomend it if you have a dry or sensitive skin.
Perfect Summer Perfume

This wasnt anything I expected. It had a little bit of very fine shimmer in it. I very oily skin so I was skeptical at first but it actually turned out really pretty on my skin. It makes it look very glowing and healthy and like glass skin. I wish my skin looked like this naturally. I like the packaging too I love the pump and I think it is a good amount. For a girl who only likes everything matte this was actually a win!
Horrible smell overrides the product
gloss_junkie from MI
The primer itself is a nice smooth consistency and the bottle pump works well, but the *horrible* smell is something I cannot get over. It's like a straight up chemical plastic scent and it's strong. I gave it 4 tries and I just cannot use it.

How many one star reviews does Revlon need to see that this new primer is awful. Please bring back the old formula so we all can be happy again!!
Love the old Pore Reducing Primer Better!
Stephÿ from New Orleans, LA
Please tell me ya'll didn't discontinue the Pore Reducing Primer that was pink and in the glass bottle, and replace it with this new version! The old one was my HG and I can't find it anywhere and have been seeing these three new versions in its place. What would it take to get ya'll to bring back the old formula in the new packaging. I will admit the glass bottle wasn't the best bc about a third of the way through the pump stops working, but it was so good I kept repurchasing anyway. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD PORE REDUCING PRIMER!
Amyjoyous from South Carolina
If it ain't broke, then don't fix it. The other photo ready primer is a hundred times better, and now I can't find it in the stores. Looks like I'll have to change brands and find something else. My only complaint about the other primer, is not having a more efficient bottle, so there isn't about a quarter of product left in the bottom of the bottle. Also not sure why it is so hard to get that top off after the pump stops working.
leelee56 from Arizona
Within minutes of applying Prime Plus Mattifying & Pore Reducing product ,
it flakes off in greasy chunks. You must then re-wash your face or rub it off.
Makes your face look like it is covered in dead peeling skin.
Can't return for refund. After two attemps, it is now garbage.
Doesn't Revlon test their products???
Linda from Canada
This is a terrible product compared to others I have had! Sticky and does not glide : actually did nothing for the pores. Do not buy this product
Awful Product, Bring Back the Old
TY from KC
I recently bought the mattifying + pore reducing primer. Apparently it has replaced the photo ready pore perfecting primer. HUGE MISTAKE Revlon!!! This new product is awful, it feels thick going in, it left my skin looking more oily than before I put it in, and does absolute nothing to smooth my pores. It also pills like crazy after putting foundation and/or powder on, leaving a white clumpy mess all over my face. Once I do manage to get that mess cleaned off my face, my skin looks awful within a few hours, my make up looks caked and streaky, and my skin oily/shiny.
Although I hated the packaging of the previous photo ready pore perfecting primer, I ended up having to throw about 25% of the remaining primer away because you couldn't get it out, the primer itself was PERFECT!! It glided over pores, perfected the fine lines under my eyes, and evened out my skin tone.
Why did you have to mess with a perfect product with such a high following, Revlon??? Bring back the old, with a better bottle/pump please. If I could give this product negative stars, I would. Sorry Revlon, you have also lost this customer as well until the old comes back.
Lizz from Chicago
I was so surprised to read all these negative reviews about it, because I honestly love this primer. I have combination skin, it's textured asf and this has been one of the few primers that really smooth out my skin so when I out foundation it doesn't look all bumpy. I read in the label that it is also a skin care product so I started using it at night after washing my face with african black soap, and let me tell you my skin is starting to clear up so nicely I've noticed it's a lot more smoother, texture is slowly getting better and even some wrinkles in my face are less noticeable!! But i guess different strokes for different folks, but in my opinion this is an amazing primer, the only reason i gave 4 starts is im not a fan of that dewy look, some ppl are but that's the only thing i didnt like otherwise it does wonders.
Broke and Zitty from SC
Yet another classic example of a brand trying to "reformulate and improve" an already great product. I get what Revlon was trying to do here, but this new version bears so little resemblance to the old, cult-classic primer that I was left very disappointed. The old line of Revlon Photoready primers, especially the Color Correcting (sadly discontinued) and the Pore Reducing ("upgraded" to this) were the only things that kept my extremely oily skin matte all day, didn't break me out, and actually made my skin look good without makeup. They worked wonderfully under any foundation and got rave reviews. This new iteration does not have that creamy texture that did such a good job at smoothing skin and filling pores, nor does it keep me matte at all. The texture is thin, even greasy, and makes my skin turn red after application. I didn't see any pore perfecting properties and the primer pills up under anything I use it with. As other reviews have mentioned, the texture does make you think of putting a layer of saran wrap on your face. Please just bring back the original line of Photoready Primers. Yes, the packaging on those needed to be changed, but not the product itself.

I love this primer! I get compliments on my complexion every time I wear it.
Not a good primer
Roc from Pittsburgh
This should not be marked as a primer at all. Should be marketed as a brightening treatment maybe. It causes instant gleam when applied, but I'm sure that's cause it is tinted and has shimmer. Somehow even though it is water based it is extremely thick and feels gross in the face. It does not leave a good canvas for applying foundation at all. Will cause greasiness very quickly, foundation does not spread well over it. Makes foundation not last as long. It's just overall a waste of $$.
Why didn't you tell me?!?!
Dee from Philadelphia pa
Well I don't like shimmer in a primer and this product has major GLITTER/ shimmer in it which is a big NO NO in my book..I was so mad when I used this and noticed it all over my hands and caked in between my nose. But does the product tell you that? NO!!
Disappointing and useless
Mary from Melbourne, Australia
I purchased the Mattifying and Pore Reducing one. It went on smooth but did not make a difference to the appearance of my skin. It then left clumps on my face, best described as the mess left behind after using an eraser on paper to rub out lead pencil. This product is useless.
Sad from undisclosed
This primer is unusable. It is so sticky that my foundation goes on in weird clumps. The two times I managed to make my foundation look presentable over this primer, my face was oily and falling apart in a couple of hours. Please go back to the original formula! That one was the best I ever used. This one is a complete waste.
Wanted to love it...
NSKIRK from CT
I wanted to love this so bad! It makes my face look so hydrated and glossy after putting it out. But I am pretty positive that it makes me break out. I have sensitive skin so I am pretty wary of trying new products because I will break out and unfortunately this one did. I've used it at least 5 times and each day I got a new pimple. Very bummed! So if you have sensitive skin please be careful otherwise this is a beautiful primer!
