Most Helpful Positive Review Super hydrating and yummy I was pretty excited to try this primer since it is from an affordable brand that is cruelty free! It smells like cucumbers and my skin drank it up like a glass of water. It felt so nice and was super hydrating. It smoothed my skin but didn't really blur my pores like it claims. But my makeup looked flawless for 14 hours! I will definitely continue to use this. I received this product complementary for review purposes.
Most Helpful Critical Review More of a moisturizer than a primer I received this product for review purposes in the Summer Splash Voxbox along with the priming mist. I tried this product both alone and layered on top of the priming mist, and for me, this product isn't that great as a stand-alone item. The cream-to-gel formula is really neat, but it just seems a lot more like a moisturizer than a primer to me. I couldn't see any of the pore-filling or skin blurring effects advertised, and it just felt like I was wearing a gel moisturizer, which in some cases is a good thing- it just isn't what I expected. I did however enjoy this layered over the priming mist. The mist is a lot more of a grippy primer and sticks to my foundation well, and these two together give me a very silky-feeling, hydrated base. Personally, I wouldn't repurchase this because using it alone isn't enough for me, but if you have oily skin and need something to lock in moisture without giving you any added oiliness, this might be worth trying, especially for the price.

These products are amazing! They leave my skin feeling soft and looking flawless!! They blur the appearance of my pores, hydrate my skin and lock in moisture! I feel confident when I use this product alone or when including it in my everyday makeup routine!
It smells slightly like 3

It smells slightly like alcohol. Didn't break me out but I also didn't notice a difference in the wear of my foundation. It's ok, I'll finish it but probably won't buy more. The creamy consistency was nice.
Pros and Cons 3

The Photo Focus Primer Water spray is my absolute favorite primer, I especially adore the coconut scented spray. I thought I would try this form in the same scent and I saw some definite pros but also some cons pretty much right away. Pros: I enjoy the primer consistency; it's thicker than the spray's liquid, more like a thin gel and not a watery consistency. It spreads pretty smoothly and in a very in a thin layer so a little bit goes a long way (much like the spray). I loved that it dries down much quicker than the spray; it gets nice and tacky quickly. It also does not leak into the eyes and burn at all, which is always great. Now, the cons: the scent is COMPLETELY different. It does not smell like coconut, Banana Boat, Caribbean goodness the way the spray does. It smells very strange, artificial, and the smell of plastic or a chemical is very apparent. It's not enough to push me away from using the rest of the product but I definitely won't buy this scent again, the spray has a much more pleasant coconut scent. While I love that this dries down quicker than the spray, it gets tacky and then dries completely just as fast so you have to work swiftly. There's minimal wait time between applying this primer and then the foundation (this could also be a pro for those that get ready in a rush). Lastly, It's not as dewy as the spray. The spray is a 3-in-1 (to prime, set, refresh) and it makes ANY foundation dewy; this will give you a satin finish underneath pretty much any foundation and, obviously, you're not getting the refresh/setting spray ability with this form. Overall, this isn't terrible but I think I still prefer my spray!
really great for dry skin 5

I love this primer for my dry skin and it definitely smooths but doesnt fill in pores as much I usually wear this alone or with some powder. its great for my dry patches and honestly it doesnt cause extra oiliness on my oily parts it's a great everyday primer.

It's a good primer. Doesn't do anything spectacular but I do use it when I need some hydration out of my base products.
This primer literally is 5
emoneyyyyy from undisclosed
This primer literally is water in a tube. It goes on as a cream at first and when you blend it into your skin it literally feels like water. I have never tried any primer like this before and I continue to use it to this day. The coconut and the rose one are my two favorites from this line of products
One of my hands 4

One of my hands down favorite primers. To start it smells like a coconut cookie and is so smoothing and hydrating. The price vs quality is hard to even be compared to anything else. Highly recommend as a staple to any makeup lovers collection as an everyday wear.

Nice primer, has a nice smell and texture. This is not my go to but on days when I wear natural makeup I use this a lot. I noticed after a little while of having it it started to get a weird smell.

This is an okay primer. It made my skin moisturized under my make up and gave me a nice application but I honestly wouldn't use this anymore on my combination skin.
I'm obsessed with this 5

I'm obsessed with this primer I feel like it's a dupe for the too face coconut primer and I really like how my foundation looks what date and that is a little sticky
This is the cucumber 4

This is the cucumber not coconut scent. The cucumber scent smells amazing. It is a bit sticky and sticks to the skin well. It takes a bit to dry. My only complaint is that a lot of it comes out so you have to be easy with squeezing it.
I bought this product 4
bellaa49 from undisclosed
I bought this product because I have really dry skin and I was hoping it would help with that. It was really cheap which was the main reason I bought it. I would probably buy it again if I was low on money

It isn't greasy at all,it is water based so it dries nicely but the end result is not impressive..visibly I didnt see a difference in my skin anywhere..it smells good though
Like others have stated 3
Dorisindrag from Canada
Like stated in other reviews its not a bad product. Unlike many of their stick formulas this does not have a putrid smell to it although i wouldnt nessecarily say it smells like coconut even. Maybe a toasted marsmallow or something. Overall it works but not amazingly
Id use it more for a moisturizer as opposed to a primer. Use this under a primer and it would add to the effects of the other primer u use but ill definitely use this more of a moisturizer

This primer leaves my skin so soft and silky! This is the first primer I've ever tried and I do notice a difference in my pores after applying foundation. I personally think this smells more like popcorn than coconut but the smell is subtle and doesn't linger after application.

So I have the cucumber one and it is AMAZING. The tiniest bit goes the longest way, it smells great and refreshing, its very lightweight and helps prevent makeup from sticking to dry patches, and it makes my skin look so smooth and beautiful. Its very cheap and I would absolutely pay more for this product, its that good.
A really nice primer.... 4
heatherlynnemakeup from undisclosed
A really nice primer. I have oily skin so I use mattifying foundation sometimes, and I definitely prep with this first to keep my face hydrated so I don't over produce oils. It smells great! It DOES contain a fair amount of dimethicone, which i dont mind, but if you don't like silicon primers, stay away from this one. Also its super cheap!

This was ok. It smells great and made my face soft and smooth before applying my foundation. Not sure that it help with my makeup length or covering pores or anything.
Impressed! 5

Takes just a small amount and made a huge difference on my pores. This is the first primer I've ever used but it's silky smooth and seems to work great.
