Most Helpful Positive Review Works better than Hot Tools
I recently purchased this to replace my Hot Tools, which had broken. This was an incredible deal made even sweeter by the 20% off coupon I had. I had low expectations for it, since I was used to a better machine but it surpasses the Hot Tools on almost every level. It heats quickly and can be turned from 1-30. I kept it in the 20 range. My hair is layered with some long and some short in the front. I normally blow dry my curls straight and I use this to de-frizz and curl my ends in between blow dries. I clip a section of hair on the top and pull the iron down for a smooth finish till I get to the tip which I give a slight curl. This is perfect for the job. The curl forms quickly and stays in, even though I never use hair spray. I do have to run the curling iron over the top part a few times to get it straight and frizz free like I like but this is no problem for me. The only thing is the iron does tend to snag my hair a bit and I have to be careful when I iron it. All in all, an excellent value for the price.
Most Helpful Critical Review Simply does not work
I bought this curling iron because it was cheap and I needed a new one, but don't make my mistake. The iron simply doesn't heat up, even on the highest setting. I turned it up all the way & it was barely hot to the touch. Because of this the curl didn't stay one bit and I gladly returned it the same day. If you want a curling iron that actually works and curls your hair, I would suggest not geting this one..

I really like the automatic turn-off in case you accidentally leave it on.

this curl iron is good for poofy wavy hair. it's a great price. if your expecting it to be super curly might as well look for another curl iron.
Just what I was looking for!

I was looking for a reasonably priced 3/4" curling iron and this one fits the bill!
Marcela from Orlando, Fl
I was honestly a little scared because I read the reviews on it after purchasing and they were a little mixed but I personally really like it. The price on it can't get any better and it does it's job.

I have super thick hair that won't hold a curl with any of the expensive curlers I have. Caved and got this one as a last resort and the curls lasted five days I kid you not. It's amazing!
I used one time and need to return.
GINGER from Oxnard
I used one time. Half the time I had to record many times because it didnt hold the ends and when releasing my curls the part you place your thumb on bent over and over.

None from Pittsubrgh
As I mentioned above, bought two of these and neither one worked.
Returned one and still one to return - have to make two extra trips out just for this curling iron.
Not going to purchase another unless they can show me it works. Will go t Sally's to purchase one and the store is more convenient to me.
Easy to use

Great Styling Tool for the Price

Like finding the "Holy Grail"----hard to find barrel 1/2" size!. Thanks Ulta for carrying that size and product!
I do have several larger barrels, bur recently got a shorter pixie cut and just couldn't find a 1/2' barrel anywhere. Do have other Revlon hair and cosmetic products from the an have been pleased. Can't beat
the price for all the features----considering the pricey alternative.
Great size but ......

It work well but the clip part bends when hot and I can't open it properly so I have to pull it towards me so I can open it and repeat the process after a few curls.
Cost effective great tool to curl hair!

To curl ends of my long fine hair, this curling iron does the job! Heat setting is adjustable to control intensity of heat so not burn my hair.
3/4" is great!
S242 from Midwest
I purchased the 3/4" and have used it many times. It works well for my fine shoulder length hair. I can use it for bouncy curls or loose waves depending on how I use the iron. I have other Hot Tools, Bed Head, Conair, Revlon, and Gold n Hot irons, wavers, & wands and this works just as well if not better. I tend to grab this more than other tools lately. I like it so much I purchased the 1 inch and the 1 1/2 inch. Those I returned - the 1 inch never turned on at all and the 1 1/2 inch turned on but never stopped blinking and didn't seem to get very hot, plus the barrel was just too large for my hair. I highly recommend the 3/4" and will purchase another if mine stops working. Great price, heats fast, easy to use, great size.

I recently cut all my hair off and wanted a looser, bigger curl and needed a larger barrel iron and this one was perfect. and the price was great!
Horrible, does not heat up, do not recommend
Su10 from Yuma, AZ
I would stay away from this product, it did not curl my hair at all. The barrel does not get hot or does it stay heated. The heat volume disk moves as you turn it or touch it, when u least know it its at 0 heat degree , the barrel doesnt even feel hot just warm. I was disappointed, i definitely returned.
Great in smoothing graying, bed head hair

I use this product to style my hair between washings. My once thick, but fine, shiny hair Is now much finer, thinner and dryer. I also have super straight hair. I changed all of the products I previously used and was frustrated because I can only wet shampoo once every 4-5 days. I went from collar length hair to short and back to collar length, but no style looked good between washings. My gray dry hair looks witchy in the morning. A flat iron made my hair look stupid. A 1" barrel curling iron added too much curl and made me look like an old lady. This curling iron cost less than$17, came with instructions that told me to dial down my heat setting, and gives my hair just enough bend to look natural and smooth between washings. We older women need help in dealing with our changing hair. This product makes me like my hair again.
I love this product
Mary from Indian land sc
I recently got my hair colored and loved the way my hair looked when my hair dresser curled it. I ask her for suggestions and she suggested a curling iron with a clamp and 1 inch barrel (for longer hair 1 and 1/4 inch). I read some reviews and saw the price of this curling iron and decided to try it. I am happy to say my hair looks just how it did when I left the salon when I use this item, it heats up supper quickly and glides through my hair easily. I have regular hair so I use the 15 in temperature settings and I do not feel like my hair is being damaged. This is my new go to for styling my hair and the price was awesome.

Old school iron that I can straighten my bangs and spiral wisps on sides. Perfect.
Gets very hot, burned myself twice
ZuluQueen from Houston, TX
Tried it past week- gets too hot, I burned my skin twice. Cord not quite long enough. Stand doesn't work well- curling iron falls over.
