When I first looked at the tube of L'Oréal Paris Visible Lift Luminous Serum Tint Tinted Moisturizer in Amber, I immediately knew that the color would be WAY too dark for me and therefore I rashly decided that I did not like this product, and I hadn't even tried it yet. But I pressed on and decided to try it because I knew if I didn't like it, all I had to do was wash my face.
After trying the L'Oréal Paris Visible Lift Luminous Serum Tint Tinted Moisturizer in Amber, my quick judgment about it was a tiny bit right and a lot wrong!
First, I was right about the color being too dark for my fair/light skin. Although the serum (in the shade of Amber) was dark, it wasn't AS dark as the color of the tube indicated. I was surprised that it had a sheer wash of tan color and my natural skin did show through. The color is much more sheer than foundation or even a regular tinted moisturizer. I could probably get away with wearing this shade at the end of summer. Maybe.
But even though the shade did not match my skin, it didn't mean that I didn't LOVE this serum! it contains little light reflecting particles that made my skin glow and look illuminated. If it had been the right shade, I know this would have looked beautiful under my foundation, or just on my bare skin. The serum also made any of my skin imperfections such as fine lines and a few uneven spots looked blurred and smoother.
How did this feel under my makeup? Divine! It made my foundation go on smoothly and almost felt like a primer. I wouldn't use a primer on top of this though, because I am afraid it would feel too thick. I would use this product instead of a primer. Along with the serum tint and foundation, my skin looked dewy and healthy. My skin also felt moisturized, without a slick, oily feel. (I have dry to combination skin).
Best of all, I can tell the tube of serum tint will last a long time. You only need to use a little because it spreads well and a little goes a long way.
I will DEFINITELY be looking for L'Oréal Paris Visible Lift Luminous Serum Tint Tinted Moisturizer in the store, just in a different shade more suited to my skin tone. I cannot wait to try it in the right shade for my skin!
I tried this product alone, before moisturizer, after moisturizer as well as with and without makeup and can tell you there was absolutely no benefit to having this on. For background, I have text book combination skin, I moisturize and use SPF daily. My basic makeup routine includes primer, liquid foundation, and finishing powder.
At first sight, I was very nervous to use the serum as it came out looking like my self tanner. However, as you put it on the color fades quickly. I did notice an immediate shine where the serum had been placed, not like a greasy shine but like my highlighter. As soon as I put moisturizer on, the shine went away like I had never used the serum. The only difference I noticed was after about an hour of makeup my face looked more oily than normal and my makeup started to settle into the fine lines. I have spent countless hours finding the right products to prevent this so needless to say I was not happy. As mentioned I also tried it alone without makeup or moisturizer as the bottle states it has moisture. Nope! Not at all. I went running to my bathroom about 2 hours later because I couldn't stand how dry I felt. I wish I could give this serum a good review and had it not ruined my makeup and gave me a highlighter glow I would have. Its just not possible to recommend something that does absolutely nothing for you.

I use this product daily some days I use it as a moisturizer under my makeup some days I use it by itself to add color to my face without doing full face of makeup.

Stinks and leaves no coverage or luminous.... 😬

This was definitely not for me. There is no visible anything;lift luminous or any other tint. It literally did nothing for my skin. I returned it. The name is very misleading in my opinion. I'm 50 and my skin is decent looking considering;but this isn't for my type of skin.

It's a moisturizing primer, but doesn't add enough luminosity. And the scent is too strong and lasts all day. Triggers migraines

I tried using this in every way. It darkened my foundation when I tried to mix it in. It dissolved my makeup when I tried to put it on top like a highlighter. I doesn't have any coverage, its just shimmery liquid. I wanted to like this as I love a no- make up look with a slight shine in the light, not a blinding sheen.

I like a thin foundation where skin still looks like skin. This gives a natural glow. So pretty and it matches my skintone so well. Not sure if that's because I got "lucky" in color choice. Or if its one of those that magically matches. Anyway, I love this formula!!

I use this product under my makeup. It's similar to the Charlotte tilbury Hollywood flawless filter, but I kind of like this even more! It's ULTRA moisturizing and my skin is glowing by the end of the day! My makeup never looks cakey and never flakes when I put this on underneath foundation I have very fair skin with a neutral undertone and the shade pearl is amazing

I bought one tube and liked it so much I bought a second. I had the second for a couple months, then opened it a few days ago. If I hadn't had the first experience. I may not have been so stunned. Like the other woman who said it was stinky like paint fumes . . . wow! I don't even know how to describe it. So, I assumed that it must've gone bad . . . Still I liked that stuff so much that I bought two more - assuming I'd get the same quality as the first. Was I wrong! This stuff - purchased from a different store months apart is hideous!!! It's going back in the morning and I'm on the hunt for something that at least smells nice!

I mix it with my bb cream

It gives me sheer coverage with the appearance of healthy skin. I like the moisturizing properties which leaves my skin comfortable and soft. I tame the extra glow it leaves on my normal skin with translucent powder and I'm ready for the day. Be aware that it has a scent - to me, it smells like paint.

Every time I wear this product everyone compliments me on how great me skin looks. It is so natural looking with a pretty glow. I look healthy. I use it with concealer and a SPF sunscreen and good to go! It would be great if sunscreen was added.

I love the results to my skin. However it smells so bad, almost like paint fumes.

I have been using this every day, twice a day, for about 2 weeks. I didn't believe a product could do so much for my skin in such a short time. It's helping with the lines in my under eye area seem not as noticable, and is doing an amazing job for my laugh lines!!

I used to use this only as a highlight on my temples and cupid's bow. Full face use alone exacerbated large pores and was too glowy/dewy for this use, for me. Recently, during the lockdown, I started adding a pearl-sized drop to my matte mineral sunblock. The result is a lit-from within, nearly dewy, glow even though my sunblock dries matte. I couldn't be happier that I found a way to use this that works. I had given up on it as a full-face use and wasn't highlighting during this stay-at-home time. Highly recommend! Just find the way it works best for you.

I am on my 3rd tube and love it. I have used it alone, under makeup, mixed with makeup, and as a liquid highlighter. It has the most amazing lit from within glow. I don't know why more people dont talk about it, I swear it's a dupe for the Charlotte tilbury hollywood flawless filter for a superstar glow. I have both on my desk and the only difference I can tell is the packaging. I will forever repurchase!
Amanda from Georgia
Would've loved this, but the fragrance was intense and lingered! I'm usually ok with some fragrance in products, but this was next level. Also, the shade "Rose" is not a dupe for Charlotte Tilburry Hollywood Flawless Filter. Totally different finish, texture, etc. The plus on CT is zero fragrance and light, non greasy texture.
Jen02 from Columbus, Ohio
Love it - I use it to dilute my thicker matte foundations !
RACHAEL3 from Grand Prairie, TX
This product lasts for a very very short time. Then you see the dry spots and discoloration come through. I put it on at 8 am and by 2:30 pm it is gone. I use L'Oreal Visible Lift Serum absolute foundation. Waste of money
Itssimplysteph from California
This serum tint is an exact dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury flawless filter! For less than half the price! It's so natural and beautiful! I use it under my foundation or over. Even on days where I don't wear makeup I'll use this as a moisturizer for a beautiful glow. Only thing is it has a fragrance, but it goes away!
Kirsten from Utah
I originally purchased this thinking it would be more like a BB cream, but it has basically no coverage. However, it is great as a hydrating primer. I had some foundations that were too drying on me, and this solved that problem. Works under every foundation I've tried.
