Turbo Round Boar Brush by CHI with evenly cut 100% natural pure boar that stands up to many years of daily use.
Rated 3.54 out of 5 stars
I own about eight brushes and this one is my favorite, easy to hold and manipulate.
I would give this four stars for bristles and barrel, zero for handle/grip. I like to use a boar bristle brush for my medium length, wavy hair, but also wanted to add the benefits of a ceramic barrel and thought I had found it. The bristles are soft, yet effective at controlling hair from root to end. The barrel seems to provide thorough drying and heating. Unfortunately, my hair continually entangled in the rubber grip and I had to discontinue use. I am not a blow drying novice--have been blow drying my hair almost daily for over 30 years--and I could not find a way to use this brush without ripping my hair out. I still cannot figure out why this happened since I've not had this issue with any other round brush. So disappointing.

The bristles melted almost immediately. Huge waste of money. I am going to attempt to return for a refund.

I purchased this brush a little over a month ago to replace a similar old Chi brush (that was not boar bristle). I have wavy/curly, thick hair that's about 6-7" below my shoulders. Compared to my old Chi brush, this one is awful. They've switched to a lower quality plastic, the boar bristles constantly shed, and now almost all the bristles are bent and flattened. It struggles to brush through my hair for blow drying smooth. The area where the brush connects to the handle catches and pulls out my hair and is trapped inside the gap. Overall, my hair seems to be showing more signs of damage and breakage now.

I got this brush because I went from shoulder length hair to a pixie. The 2 and 3 inch Chi round brushes were too big. I like the boar bristles and ceramic chi brushes a lot and got the 3/4" which was the smallest in store. If adds a little volume and works well. Otherwise I get a flat look.

I have short curly hair that I blow dry straight. I tried this brush and liked the way it styled my hair, but when I removed the hair from the brush, lots and lots of bristles were also in the sink. At that rate, there won't be any bristles left after a few uses. That had been one of the negative comments. Debating about returning it, but I did like how my hair looked...

with naturally curly hair and living at the beach, i usually have a bush to deal with. With a quick blow dry thru my ( even dry hair), takes care of all that frizz! Love this round brush, doesn't curl hair, just blows it straight and takes out the frizz.
Lietta from Cape Coral Fl
Love the way it does not pull your hair or tangles the hair just perfect
Jessie from Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Great grip allows for maximum tension for drying coarse curly hair to pin straight.

I didn't feel cut my drying time in half and actually felt like it made my hair more frizzy

Curls and dries my hair in minutes. Just what I've been needed in my life. Would recommend to anyone with long wavy hair.

The bristles fall out of this brush when pulling hair and cleaning. Didn't really roll smoothly through hair when drying either. Returning to store
MC from Tennessee
It dries and smoothed hair quickly, but I won't use it anymore because my hair was getting caught in the cheap plastic pieces in the end of the brush and handle and it was damaging my hair.

Anne from Massachusetts
poorly made, bad experience

I'm considering bringing this item back to the store after just 2 uses.
Di from York PA
it really stimulates the hair follicles and hopefully will help with the dryness.

I bought this brush with the intention of using it while blow drying my shoulder length hair and adding some volume to it. This does the trick.
Kellie from Maryland
The bristles wouldn't catch onto my hair while blow drying. Instead, they just pulled on my hair and tangled it! My hair was getting stuck between the brush head and handle groove. It actually ripped some of my hair out. Will be returning tomorrow. Horrible horrible horrible brush!

I got this based on a 3/4" barrel. The bristles are long, and this didn't show in picture. Too long for my short hair. More for medium length hair. Looks like a good brush though.
Bee from New York
I bought this brush because it is CHI and it was a Boar Brush. After the first use the bristles were literally follow off the brush. Very disappointed poor quality.
Amy from Little Ferry NJ
I used this brush ONCE and half of the bristles fell out. I had to throw it out, what a waste of money!
Angie from Burbank
Total waste of money. Only used this brush twice and 1/2 the bristles fell out on my second time using it.
Shell from New York
Horrible- hair got stuck in handle bristles wouldn't catch hair at root, bristles fell out. All around bad brush.
Gwen from West Greenwich, Rhode Island
Saw this brush & wanted to see if it made dry time quicker than my hot tools brush.... (it was double the price, but figured it might be worth it..... NOT the case! I purchased this about 1.5 months ago. I have used it 4-5 times because i dont always round brush my hair during drying depending on the style Im going for. I have 2 others I have been using forever. The bristles came out in chunks on my last use. SAVE YOUR MONEY!
Sadly, i have used the CHI flat irons all my life & those are great, the brushes are NOT.
