The only moisturizer I useSo, as a gal from South FL with oily skin, I never understood the hype around moisturizers, or why everyone said you absolutely needed them. I did try a gel-based moisturizer once, with some success, but again, it didn't seem entirely necessary (especially for a person who, at the time, didn't have any sort of skincare routine). When the texture smoothing cream came out alongside the pore refining concentrate, I opted at first for the concentrate only; I wasn't sold on moisturizers, and wasn't sure its cream-like consistency wouldn't make me break out or irritate my skin in some other way. But, finally, my curiosity got the best of me, and I finally tried the texture smoothing cream out. First note-- "cream" is being generous. It's quite a light cream, not heavy, allowing for layering of product (for example, you can wear this under the cocokind SPF) without feeling like you're suffocating or clogging your pores. If you have oily skin like myself, I'd use a dab--a little goes a long way, another great plus, but using little decreases the chance of the product moving around your face. I went overseas recently to Denmark, and BOY was I glad I discovered why moisturizers were important. My skin was dangerously close to becoming dry before I remembered where I was and realized I needed to be using more product. I was glad I'd brought it with me!Works well on its own, doesn't mix well with other productsI was so excited to try this as my daytime moisturizer, since I am very oily and was looking for a lightweight, water based one. I first tried this out in the summer, when my skin is generally better and less acneic. I found that this works nice when only used with the toner and/or glow essence. I went on a weeklong backpacking trip and only used a cleanser (non Cocokind), this moisturizer in the AM and PM, and SPF, and it did great. However, when I do use other serums and actives to target issues as they come up, I find this doesn't pair well. It starts to pill and also stings a bit. I'm on my second jar, and will definitely finish, but am also searching for an alternative. I might just have to use this only when I don't need a lot else on my skin. I also don't feel that it noticeably smoothed my skin's texture. Overall, I think the effectiveness of this product depends on your skin and the rest of your routine.

Not hydrating enough

Since switching to this from another moisturizer, I have been having issues with dry patches. It's very hard to rub in and gets a foamy texture if you mess with it too much. Because of this, it's really hard to layer. It's disappointing because I feel like my skin has been looking smoother, but I probably would not repurchase it.

Not as moisturizing as I'd hoped.

I was looking for something as a night cream that's not too thick. I'm in my 50s and my skin is normal. It can get T-zone oily when it's hot out. This seemed thinner than what I wanted. It didn't moisturize like I'd hoped.

Lightweight, fresh-smelling, soothing cream

Loved this from Day 1. I'm 46, so I need a moisturizer, but a lightweight one. My teen, who was having breakouts, kept stealing it. It's not irritating to her skin, which now looks smooth and fresh, so I bought her a jar, too ;) Love the fresh scent!

OBSESSED!

I am 29 and have always dealt with adult acne… within ONE night of using this product, I noticed a change in my skin's texture and overall appearance! My skin was hydrated, smooth, glowy and a lot less textured than usual. My makeup looked INCREDIBLE on top of it and lasted all day! I can't recommend this product enough.

Does not break me out when everything else does!

I never write reviews bc one, I'm 42 and a mom and don't have time for that, and two, I'm never really wowed by anything bc again I'm 42 and my skins is kinda so so. I have struggled with acne my entire life and sometimes still struggle with it if I'm not careful. This product is great. I have repurchased three times. I notice a difference when I don't use it. Does NOT break me out, makes my skin look smoother. Makes pores look smaller. Helps with texture. Please don't stop making this!
