I've been reading the comments & some of the issues & complaints about these & I'd like to help if I can. Now the formula of these are a lot like a liquid lipstick, you have only a certain amount of time to work with it before it begins drying & use a synthetic brush if you're trying to blend in the crease otherwise a natural hair brush will soak up the product & possibly create streaks. Also, don't use a lot of product either, this isn't the type of product that's going to come off with the vibrancy of drag makeup. Remember who Stila is people. The color does change slightly from when it's applied to when it dries down - it darkens, just like a liquid lipstick does. And for those having trouble with staying power, streaks etc, shake the bottle s bit, tap it hard on your hand, just in case there's been some separation from sitting. It wouldn't hurt to try using an eyeshadow base 1st. Not a concealer or a greasy primer - an actual base - like Mac paint pot, Makeup Revolution has one, pretty sure elf might have one too, although I don't know how well it works. Clinique also has one; any decent quality base should work fine - but only a thin layer. You can also one of those fat matte eye crayons too - the ones people use in the water line. Wet n Wild makes one, ABH, BH Cosmetics, even NYX has a matte white one. You'll wipe the crayon product on your pinky to warm it up then tap it on the lid - A THIN LAYER. Tap in til it's completely dried n smooth, THEN go in with your product use your finger to blend it on the lid or a synthetic brush. Don't use a lot! And for the crease, I apply the product to the outer portion of my lid, I tap it out slightly then, before it dries, I blend into the crease with a SYNTHETIC blending brush. This can take some practice too because although it's totally possible to obtain a nice blend in the crease, please remember that it's a liquid, not powder product. Look down or close your eyes til it's completely dry. Then afterwards you can totally apply a topper if you want. If you follow the aforementioned, you really should not have further issue or run into any to begin with. This also works great on the bottom lash line & offers great staying power. I have a few of these & I only got the olive green one this time, but I also have the dark brown, gray, and pink. All have a matte finish & I can apply it all the way across the bottom lash line & then go over the very outer corners with a regular darker shadow & it's beautiful & stays put til I wash it off. These are really nice & im surprised that they weren't more popular.
I have purchased and returned two Nude Awakening shades of this eyeshadow . Both appeared to be fine in store but once opened at home they both developed a separation of color in the tube . The sales staff at the store had never seen anything like it and agreed that something was definitely off. I decided to give it one more try but once again the tube looks off after just one use. Has anyone else had these issues ? Love all of the other colors but really need a good neutral.

I have oily hooded lids, so for me every day I use a primer and a skin colored shadow. I was getting tired of all of that for it to look like nothing so I've been using the nude shade and blending it out with my fingers. It keeps my eye lids from getting oily throughout the day and cancels any redness on my lids. Just what I was looking for!

I love this eyeshadow. So sick of eyeshadows that fall onto my cheeks or under eyes. This one has beautiful shades and stays put. Looks good all day. Going back for more colors.

This product was recommended to me by an Ulta sales person as their favorite in the store. The sales person told me it stays on a long time, but comes off easy. I like how it went on and blended, but it came off in just a couple hours and was very blotchy. I was just sitting at my desk on conference calls. I rarely return cosmetics, but this one is going back.

Was hoping it would be a soft pink which is what it looks like in bottle. More of a dark beige when applied.

Why does glitter have to be in so many products? I wanted a matte grey eyeshadow- instead I got a patchy glittery mess.

I'm a huge fan of these liquids it's a deep color pay off with very minimal work, gorgeous and blendable, pairs great with powders!
I use the product alone, it's that stunning. The colors are vibrant and beautiful and applying it is super easy. Love love love

I love this color and texture, especially because that there is no sparkle. Wish there were more like them.

I bought this based off a comment I read on a blog...and it was a great rec! I got the greyish color (smoky silk I believe). I swipe on my finger first and then dab to get the desired pigment. It's not heavy, it's almost like a water color but you can build up to how much you want and blend it out with your finger. Perfect for a subtle look.

Great eye shadow, love the color. Will get more colors in the Stila line. Wish the price was a little less but you don't need a lot so this is a product where a little dab will do ya!!

I put the product on my eye lids in a few layers to get the desired look. It was perfect for me. I. Don't usually wear eye shadow unless I'm going out somewhere nice and I found this product was so much easier to add to my daily routine for work. Made me feel so pretty and a bit 'sassy'!

I read the comment about Nude Awakening separating & sure as ship, it did. Into a greasy, white & tan mess. I tried really hard to make it mix together & it just got worse!! Just lovely. Guess I'll try a return & if that doesn't work, a refund. Ugh 😑

I have several of these eyeshadows but hadn't been able to find a true purple shade. Not lavender, not mauve, I wanted purple. the Violet Velvet is that purple shade that isn't muddied or pastel. I highly recommend it.
My only complaint, if any, is they don't also have a true purple glitter and glow shade. But I make do by using this under the Pearlina shade and its stunning.

Most eyeshadow made my skin look like I had scales on my eyelids. So far this is the best
product I've found.

This is a very nice shade but comes out lighter than is pictured. Seems to last long as well but i just dont think liquid shadows spread right on my lids

Wanted a liquid eye shadow for lid, not crease, where I use a darker color. I bought this and will return it. It's the same as my foundation or concealer, so I could just use those if I wanted. In the store, it seemed to have a hint of color. It does not.

Being in my 50's I need an eyeshadow that does not crease nor look sparkly. This product is absolutely perfect! I especially love the sassy color for the eyelid and then I add a long wearing powder eyeshadow in the crease and upper eyelid. Stays on all day and night long. Love this product!
