Most Helpful Positive Review yes, it is sheer As stated in the name, this is a SHEER foundation. It is intended for face AND BODY. Body make up is supposed to be very sheer and more skin-like. I have problematic skin that is prone to breakouts, so I have a lot of imperfections I want to hide. I still love this foundation because I prefer a light, natural foundation that perfects the skin and evens the tone. I just spot conceal all of my imperfections with a heavy duty concealer from Laura Mercier. Doing this means I am never cakey and never look like I am wearing tons of make up. There are a lot of sheer foundations out there, but I love this because it is long-wearing (great for my oily skin), has a natural finish, and comes in a wide range of shades with realistic undertones. I also love that I don't have to use powder all over to set the foundation. I only use a tiny bit of powder on top of areas that I used concealer and a tiny bit on my T-zone. I've used countless foundations from tons of different brands over the years, but the MAC face and body is one of the few that I always go back to and know I can rely on.
Most Helpful Critical Review Just OK; Original BETTER This is an OK sheer foundation, but NOT as good as it's predecessor, the Original formula Studio Face & Body! I am a Mac Pro member (Aesthetician & Makeup Artist) and have been using MAC since the early 90's), and using the ORIGINAL Face & Body for about 15-20 years. I am flabbergasted that MAC would "replace" it for a new formula, when the original is already a Holy Grail product for Makeup Artist and Customers alike. I've compared the two, separately, as well as at the same time (one on each side of my face), and here is what I think: The new formula "Studio Radiance" is DARKER, more sheer, and applies slightly streaky at first. Other than that, it wears and feels similar. It takes more layers to get similar coverage. The original is SO MUCH BETTER and, in my opinion, DID NOT NEED "IMPROVING". I have already replaced so many of my Holy Grail MAC products with other brands, and this one will end up being just another. I don't understand why MAC continues to replace or discontinue some of their best products. It makes no sense... I'm sorry to see one of the best ones go...

I used to wear and love face and body C2, but this new formula doesn't make me happy at all. No coverage , no a good texture and definitely not a good product on my skin.
O just hope it was good as the original.i don't see any benefits.
Please bring back the old formula 2

I'm almost 40, combo acne prone skin with fine lines and wrinkles. The older I get the more I realize I just want a sheer to light coverage on my skin. That is exactly what this is. Sheer is even in the title. This smooths out my face and doesn't settle into fine lines or pores. Doesn't break me out. I do set the T-zone because the radiant finish may look a little greasy in the summer heat. It doesn't feel like I have anything on. If I have anything that requires extra coverage I just spot conceal. A perfect no makeup makeup look. I've tried many foundations, cc creams, and tinted moisturizers. This is it! I found something that doesn't age me. Looks natural yet polished!!!

I was looking for something waterproof and lightweight for summer, this was not it. Streaky sheer coverage and becomes greasy when you try to build it up. Caused horrible acne on my face that took weeks to recover from.

I was a huge fan of the OG face and body foundation. This new formula unfortunately isn't my favorite.
Pros:
- beautiful, sheer finish
- perfect shade match (c2)
- easy to apply
Cons:
- fragrant essential oils.
The fragrance in this makes my skin itchy. For those who are sensitive to natural OR synthetic fragrance, I would choose another foundation.

I have dry skin. I was using a different type of skin tint but it was a bit thick. I found this on a Tik Tok and went to go buy it immediately. I am a teacher so I wear my mask for 6ish hours a day and this lasted so well under my mask!!! My routine is the glow screen from supergoop, milk hydro grip primer, this applied with my fingers, then the ELF halo glow setting powder, and lastly flower beauty dewy setting spray. I'm soooo amazed at how well it lasted and how beautiful it looks so many hours later. 10/10 so happy!

I got C1 shade and matched my skin perfectly…a make up expert helped me and I tried it at home, I didn't like it all instantly…it was too watery like in my hand and when it was applied to my skin, you couldnt tell I had foundation on, which is what you want but it didn't hide my impurities or anything…it didn't do anything for me.

Buildable coverage. Skin like finish. Doesn't cake up. Doesn't settle into my fine lines. I like to use this all over my face applying it with my hands, and sparingly where I have extra redness I'll use my full coverage foundation and it builds beautifully. I cannot believe I waited so long to try this. My freckles shine through, my complexion looks flawless.

I'm chucking every other foundation I own. First, I do not have "good skin." I am 40, with acne scarring, texture, unevenness, occasional breakouts. But this foundation is the best I've ever tried. It is undetectable and just makes it look like I have beautiful glowing skin. It will not mask every blemish, but doesn't need to because it makes my skin overall look so nice that it distracts from any imperfections. Feels like I have nothing on— no itch or goopy feeling like I get from others. Doesn't cake around my chin which is where I have the most issues. I am so, so happy to have found this. I have light skin with slight olive undertone and C1 was perfect. I also applied with my fingers, which I saw suggested online and I think that works the best.

In this case, the name perfectly describes this. I like how it does dry down instead of remaining dewy. The radiance factor come from the finish which almost looks satin, not dewy. I didn't give it five stars because despite it claiming to be sheer, it's EXTREMELY sheer. We're talking only a tiny bit more coverage than the Glossier Skin Tint. It would be perfect with a tiny bit more coverage and added SPF 30 in my opinion. It would sell like hot cakes then!

This foundation is everything I hoped it would be. Lightweight, buildable, good shade match, wears well throughout the day. It's very liquidy so it can be a little messy to work with but otherwise no complaints. I will definitely re-buy when I run out.

I purchased this foundation for summer but I think I will use it year round. It goes on so delicately and I can build upon it to help cover dark spots or blemishes. My skin glows when it is on! Love this so much!

I never review anything. I hate foundation. I spend a lot of time, and everything else, hopeful for great skin. I never wanted to wear foundation. I've tried a lot of them, sheer, medium, full, designer, drugstore. They all wore like a sad mask of beigey hatred, hiding my natural glow.
Until this product. I'm amazed, hooked. I blend it with a little sunscreen or moisturizer and it's 100% my skin, only better. I'm super pale, and super oily, and somehow MAC nailed it with the vast shades offered and formulation.

I tried this for the first time during a sale Mac was having, and I am so glad I did. This is my favorite foundation I've ever tried, and I think I'll be a lifer for this. I don't know how they do it, but it just looks like your skin. It is buildable but I would not recommend this if you do want a very full coverage foundation. One layer evens out your skin and gives the "your skin but better" look. Two layers looks more light-medium coverage, but still undetectable. I have oilier skin so I wasn't sure how it would hold up for me, but after powdering it lasts as well as any other non-matte foundation (blot and re-powder after 5 hours or so, but tbh I don't really mind the "glow" after that time).

Please eliminate the fragrance from the ingredients. Honestly such a great finish-both the original and this one (they are almost identical actually). However why have citrus peel oil and other fragrance/essential oils in there? I have relatively sensitive skin and fragrance and essential oils could break me out. Therefore I try not to wear it more that 2/3 hrs as I wouldn't know when it's going to break me out if I wear it longer. With that being said, this foundation is perfect otherwise and I would recommend it because of the flawless finish but please eliminate the fragrance.

i really really love this foundation. it's perfect if you're looking for something sheer and skin-like, but still covers a bit of redness. i find it easiest to apply with my fingers and rubbing it into my skin, but a brush/sponge application works well as well!
this isn't a foundation if you're looking for coverage! this is just a bit of a tint that helps freshen up/even out your skin.
definitely one of the best skin tints out there.

This product does exactly what it's supposed to do. Almost too well. It's VERY sheer which gives a natural look, but this means it doesn't cover any blemishes (acne, dark spots, etc) at all. I would purchase if my skin was already incredible and I just wanted a natural glow. Otherwise, beware of how sheer it is
