May be replacing my current brow pencil...with a few changes!!! I have the shade taupe and it is the perfect neutral shade, not too warm or grey (I use the NYX microbrow in taupe and Loreal brow definer in Blonde). It acts as a stain, looks very natural, and is very long-lasting.. however, there is a significant flaw: the tip dries out after every use. It is a brush tip (not felt tip) and the product stays in the tip after using it, dries up, and no product comes out the next use. Applying a lot of pressure while swatching on the back of my hand removes the dried up bits and gets the ink flowing again. This happened literally the second day/third time I used it so it has nothing to do with running out, but appears to be a design flaw. If the drying out problem is fixed, I would 100% recommend this to everyone. I still would recommend, as the color is a great match for me and it looks so natural in the bald spots of my brow. It almost looks microbladed and you can't tell I am wearing makeup. The smudge proof claims are totally true!! (I cannot say the same for my brow pencil) When I wiped my brow with a damp cloth, it stayed on. Even mindlessly touching my brows all day it did not come off either. Only when I washed my face with face wash did I notice significant fading. There is definitely a learning curve with how much pressure to apply and getting the strokes in the right direction, but I think it is a very great start. With a few changes to the original product, I hope Ardell (or even some other brands) can build on this and make a really innovative, unique product.
I have a huge scar on one of my brows, so I STRONGLY prefer brow pens/markers for a more natural look. I've tried quite a few, and of those, Ardell is mostly my favorite. When it works. Nearly every brow pen I've tried dries out, but they can often be revived with warmth (put it in between my thighs for a minute), a little water, a little shaking, a little dabbing on the hand, whatever. Not so with Ardell. Only time revives the ink, and it can take hours before it's back in full force again. If you only wait ~10 minutes, you can usually get 1-3 strokes at a time, though. The problem is that the tip is soft, which can make accuracy more difficult. Additionally, like most pens, sometimes ink deposits way too much or too little. Both of these things would be super quick and easy to fix if the ink didn't dry out, but every stroke counts with Ardell unfortunately, so every mistake has a high cost. The thing that bugs me most is that you absolutely CANNOT run the tip anywhere near where you've already deposited ink. Doing so will make a fresh pen dry out IMMEDIATELY, and you'll be left with chunky crumbliness in your brows. All of this is so frustrating for the very fact that when the stars align and it does work, this pen is AMAZING. The tip is incredibly fine, the ink is reasonably durable (don't get it wet though or you'll end up with inky blobs in your brows), it doesn't change color, great price, etc For now, I use Lime Crime in the front of my brows to decrease reliance on Ardell. LC is also pretty fine, and less pigmented, so it works for the front well. I use Ardell for the rest. Tips - store straight upside down, get at least 2 pens, keep skin completely clean and dry (not even moisturizer). But y'all, be warned - I saved up gift cards so I could buy like 10 Ardell pens just to ensure I'll always be able to actually finish my brows, and that's completely ridiculous. I should NOT have to do that! I'm finally giving in and trying UD pen now. Ugh

This turns green when it oxidizes.

This brow pen is great, but the last few times the color has been way off and almost black when I purchased medium brown. Other than that, I absolutely love it and use it every day to fill in my brows for a natural look.

I love this brown pen. It is my favorite out of both high end and drugstore.
I have tried several brow pens and this is by far my favorite

I've had the same pen for almost two years and it still works, however I don't use it every day. I keep it stored upside down, and always draw a few lines on my hand before applying to my brows. THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP: You're brows have to be ABSOLUTELY naked before you apply; no oils, moisturizer, NADA. But once it's dried and set, it will stay put! I only wear brow and mascara makeup, so sometimes I fall asleep without taking it off (I know, I know) and my brows still look perfect in the morning. As for the color, Taupe is perfect for me. I'm au naturel with silver/white in the front and salt and pepper in the back, fair skin and light & thin brows. This pen is the only thing that makes my brows look natural AND it's so good for us Silver Foxes! (we struggle to find good brow products)

I have platinum blonde hair with super light features. How did this not do anything to my brows? I know it's not dry because when I put it on it feels wet and leaves a residue, but doesn't leave any pigment. I even tried shaking it and nothing. Save your money.

BEST brow pen ever!!! I have semi-fair brows and the Taupe is the perfect neutral brown. I always keep 2 at a time because I refuse to run out. I will NEVER stop using this. Tip: store upside down

This stuff is soooo good. I have very light brows and it is so hard for me to find the right shade. I read that someone said the taupe was a great color because it wasn't too dark. Well it is absolutely perfect for my brows and very blonde hair and it stays on until I shower. I have tried many and this brand and the color taupe is very good if you're a blonde and probably even brunette. The color shows up great but has a very natural look. I'm going to stock up on this!

I have bought this product now 3xs! I use 2 different colors to give a true micro blading effect, base in the lighter tone, then detail in the darker pen. Don't apply over makeup or even moisturizer, absolutely bare skin is necessary!!! I found setting with a pressed translucent powder worked much better then my usually loose setting powder.

Great brow pen! It does have a learning curve. I was nervous to order this because people had commented that it was dried up or hard to use. As for the dried up. Ok the tip is like a paint brush not a felt tip pen so if it starts to get dry without product on it all you have to do is dip it in water or run it under water just like a paint brush and shake product down to tip. I have been using this pen for about a year and have to do both eyebrows the entire brow every day and has lasted at least 6 months. I also use a spoily with it to comb it through before product dries. I can say it is definitely sweat proof and waterproof as long as you do not touch it with your hands. So it stays on all day until I take it off even in the hot summer heat. ❤️ I purchase the medium brown no red tinge what so ever. I apply with a light hand and do not go over same spot because you do have to wait a couple seconds to see where You missed. Hope this helps.

Mine had to be dried up or something. Nothing came out of either one and the felt tip was fringed.

This is by far the WORST eyebrow pen I have ever used. Nothing comes out and the brush is frayed. I shook it and shook it and still nothing. I even tried wetting the tip and still nothing. I will be returning both of them.

I was so excited to try this, but it was soooo bad! I used it one time, it was SO dark and more like a sharpie than makeup. Then my second use there's was NOTHING coming out. I tried everything, I was shocked! It was a total waste of money. Please don't waste your money!

If you're looking for a natural full looking brow this is the product for you!! Doesn't easily wipe away or wear off and it's super easy to use. 10/10

Wish I could give this zero stars. Doesn't even work and when it comes out it pours out. So disappointed

I don't know if the color or the tip , but I have to fight to get it on Too much trouble
Don't waste your time and $$ from Utah
I cannot even get a full set of brows out of this pen. Such a waste of dollars. And I'd give it zero stars if I could.
Alisia from Colorado
I've had mine for several months, and I love it!! The color doesn't turn a strange color on skin, goes on easily and once dried stays put really well. It doesn't dry instantly so you have a second to fix any mistakes. Perfect for hairlike strokes to fill in sparse brows. Love this!!

This is honestly my new favorite brow product of all time at the moment because of how detailed I can make the lines (with practice) but also the color for me is almost perfect!!! Here's the catch: the product is a LOT DARKER than you think it will be... I got dark brown at first because I have dark brown hair but when I used it I couldn't seem to prevent the look of sharpie on my brows. I got taupe (which is sadly the lightest color because it's still dark brown just not nearly black) and it works absolutely great for me! One day I used the pen extra carefully to try to make it look as natural as possible and my mom told me that it didn't even look like I had brow makeup on!!! Just REMEMBER I got taupe but my hair is naturally dark brown. Dark brown was too dark for me but I have no idea if medium brown would've worked for me or not but I'm guessing not... Maybe I'll take a chance and try that color one day idk it's not expensive which is another plus. I guess if you get one that's too dark it can at least maybe be used as an eyeliner?... Haven't tried it though so I can't verify that one.

Ordered multiple times and I've never gotten a single use out of this pen because it comes dry.... you could store it upside down for a week you'll get half a brow tail done. Not good at all.....

My brows look so natural and arched with this product, never using another one

This product is exactly what I look for when needing to fill in my brows. It is very pigmented but goes on very smooth and stays on all day.

Literally went in the trash on day 1. Lasted enough for one brow. Not even worth the gas to return it. Consider yourself warned...

I get so many compliments on my brows when I use this product. By using taupe on the inner sections of my brows and medium brown on the outer edges, it creates an airbrushed look that looks microbladed. I also to use it after applying tinted brow gel for a quick and easy application.
