To note I have super oily hair/skin plus a little dandruff. I was looking to switch to anti dandruff shampoos but because I only use natural hair products it was hard to find something good and affordable plus I already liked the shampoo I was using, but then I came across this product. I read the reviews and purchased it right away. This product didn't claim to help remove dandruff but from the very first use and I mean VERY FIRST USE 99% off my dandruff was gone, my hair felt physically lighter as it removed all my product build up (I use a lot of dry shampoo) my hair has never felt this clean before. I saw reviews that said their oily hair stayed clean for days longer, this wasn't really the case for me it lasts a day longer than it used to (I used to wash my hair every 2 days now I can every 3) not a huge difference but this isn't why I got this product. I've been using this product twice a week even though the recommended time Is 3 I think 2 is more than enough, as the scrub can be a little harsh. Overall this product can take all my money it's literally saved my hair and scalp, if you're unsure about it definitely get it ! It's the best hair product find I've come across yet and now that I've got it I can't live without it.
I would put zero stars if it let me. These products have caused me excruciating headaches and when reaching out to the company (I bought from Frank Body directly, but they keep deleting my reviews on their site) for guidance, I have been ignored on every avenue. As their return policy states opened products cannot be returned, I am stuck with wasted products and wasted money. All I wanted was some assistance on how I may be able to use these products to avoid the waste, but apparently the company has better things to do than worry about good or even halfway decent customer service. As noted on their website, they had to change the names of some of their products due to legalities and include the fact that they are caffeinated in the titles. The products I received did not have this info on the bottles, as I received the old bottles. Regardless, I am not allergic to caffeine or coffee beans or any other item listed that is in these products. Which brings me to believe there is something toxic in them. Especially considering the lack of response or care about my issues. Stay far away.

I add this to my shampoo and I love it. Rinses out just fine with a good conditioner.

over all I'm pretty satisfied with this product. I have fine and somewhat thin hair. I struggle with dry patches on the bottom back of my scalp that itch really bad after a few days of no wash and I can literally pick them off in chunks. I tried this product when it went on sale for the spring haul earlier this year so it was around $14. I've been using it once a week for about 6-7 months now and I don't think I'll go without it. in my defense I've never tried any other scalp scrub to compare it to. how I use it: I wet my hair completely before applying and I make sure to do it in small sections. every hair is different so if you have thick hair it will probably be harder to apply. but after I do the scrubbing I'll rinse with just water to get some out and then I go in with my shampoo and wash like normal. I have noticed a difference in how itchy my hair feels after a few days of not washing since starting this product. now it does still itch so this didn't solve the issue completely but my scalp isn't nearly as dry and I can go longer without washing my hair now since I'm not constantly digging at it when it gets itchy.

This didn't do anything besides being difficult to rinse off. So now I use it as a body scrub lol

I fell in love with a sample I got of the Nature Lab Tokyo scalp scrub and wanted to try out another one, looking for the Holy Grail of scalp scrubs. This ain't it, chief. You know when you go to the beach and the next time you shower your hair is covered in sand? This is a lot like that feeling. It's a bottle of grit. Sure, it exfoliates, but at what cost? It's hard to wash out and likes to hang out at the bottom of the tub. I really tried to finish this off, but in writing this review I'm realizing I don't enjoy using it at all. I will probably drop it in the trash and buy a full size of the NLT scrub.

It's weird to me that this has so many bad reviews yet the overall is still 4+ stars. This product will SNAP your hair off. It will make it dry and flaky and just no. Please don't. You will hurt your hair. I also think releasing a product as such and making such claims require some experimenting and research and there is no way it was done in this case. The little bits won't come out of your hair. I already have thin and fine hair and this made me want to cry.

I cannot believe the amount of breakage this product caused my hair. It is just an exfoliant, impossible to get on the scalp & did not suds up. I added shampoo and tons of hair fell out. It would be a great exfoliant, but not for the scalp.

For the hair and scalp? This product is trash. I have thick wavy hair and struggled to get the little granules out of my hair. Looks like brown dandruff (or dead lice) falling out for days. To add insult to injury, it had no benefit for hair/scalp health. However I hate to waste product so I'm using it as a body exfoliator. Just don't put this junk in your hair.

I was so excited to use this product because it was 97% natural. I like that it didn't change the texture of my hair or irritate my scalp. I loved that it was grittier than other scalp scrubs but it took a lot of effort to wash out of my hair. I had to literally scratch my head to remove it, rinse for two days and it's all over my bedding and clothes.

i like abrasive scrubs for my hair and body, i really do! but the walnut shells really aren't doing it for me, it's so rough but i don't really feel like it's doing much for product buildup. the grain is fairly large as well and i feel like it has a hard time getting to my actual scalp through my dense, coarse hair, so now i just have walnut shells in my hair and a week of dry shampoo on my scalp.

I have fairly thick, wavy hair, and i thought this might help with buildup. I received this as a sample and tried it with a scalp brush and rinsed out with shampoo very thoroughly. When I got out I still saw little specks of the scrub in my hair, and I don't feel like it did much. Not sure if I wasn't thorough enough or what, but it just didn't work for me.

I've been battling really oily/damaged hair lately. I've been trying all sorts of different products and nothing worked. I recently received this in my Boxycharm subscription and decided to give it a try. The first use got rid of not only all of the product build up but also my dandruff! My hair instantly looked so much healthier! I'm almost out of my first bottle and ordering another one right now! I don't recommend for people with thinner hair because I can the "micro beads" cause breakage or hair loss with more brittle hair. Other than that I've had a great experience with this product!

After using this product it seems my scalp is in worse condition than it was before. Still flaky and my hair feels stiff. I'm definitely returning this product.

Wanted to love this but it was a mess! Took shampooing 3 times to get it out of my hair and I could still feel grit when conditioning. My scalp is flake free but this isn't meant for hair with texture. It has a lot of alcohol ingredients and I definitely noticed after using it my hair was very dry (could also be from having to shampoo so long times)

This made my hair fall out so bad like Ive never had happen ever before! It has some exfoliating sand like stuff in it that breaks hair right off. Which the hair loss IS noticeable sadly. I would never put such a product on my hair ever again

I typically use shampoo & conditioner bars (not bottled products). Anyone who uses those knows that when you switch from the bottle to the bar you have a week or two of greasy/waxy feeling hair until everything that coated the hair is finally removed. I used this scrub because it sounded like it wouldn't have anything in it that would coat hair. I shampooed/conditioned my hair as usual after using the scrub. I found my hair had that same greasy heavy feeling as when I first switched to shampoo bars. It took a ACV rinse and two shampoos to get my hair back to it's normal self. You also have to rinse for a while to get this stuff completely out. It's consistency is best described as being like apricot scrub. I liked the smell and the tingly feeling. This may work great for people who use bottled products but I'll never know.

I'll give this two stars because it isn't unpleasant but it's an ineffective product. It leaves behind a lot of granules in the hair because they don't dissolve in water. Walnut pieces are not great for the skin. Too coarse and tears at skin easily. If you have to use a walnut scrub, use it on the body where the skin can handle grit. You scalp though is an extension of your facial skin and should be treated with the same care. This is just a miss for me.

I only use this once a week but when I do, my hair is very silky afterwards. It feels stimulating and refreshing, and removes build-up of dry shampoo that I have inevitably used throughout the week due to l a z i n e s s.

I have tried every expensive anti dandruff shampoo and conditioners they all lessen my flakes but never get rid of them completley. Was very skeptical trying this scrub but am amazed at the results! I noticed small results after the first use but after the 3rd use my dandruff has almost all disappeared! I had given up on finding something that actually worked. Thank you Frank!!!

My scalp was always super oily and I had to use strong cleansing shampoos to combat this. As a result, my colour would fade. This product has honestly changed everything.... my hair is cleaner for longer, i don't get an annoying buildup of product/dandruff, I don't have to wash it as frequently and i can use a shampoo for coloured hair instead of one that cleanses my scalp but strips my colour. Honestly incredible

It's this scalp scrub. I moved to London a year ago and all of a sudden “hard water†is part of my vocabulary. Cue itchy, flaky scalp (I'm talking noticeable flakes- I know I wanted to see snow when I moved to the UK, just not on my head) irritated by the hard water, on top of my existing psoriasis. No clarifying, scrubby, tar based, herbal options are working. Enter Frank body's caffeinated scalp scrub - in one wash, I notice a difference. In three uses, it's all gone. I am in love. I have already re-bought and don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Paired with the frank hair mask, I feel like a new woman and finally have my confidence back!!

I was reluctant to try this as some reviews said it was difficult to get the product out of their hair but I used a dime size amount and had no issues. I parted my hair in the shower and applied as needed directly to my scalp - rubbed and scrubbed and then applied my shampoo and it all came out. My scalp felt AMAZING. It gave my scalp a cool feeling - like peppermint! I suffer from dry scalp here in CO and this may have been the cure I was looking for! I wasn't suffering with dry flakes always, itchy and my hair was getting oily so much faster! This is amazing and definitely a need in every shower! Even my fiancé loves it!! :heart:ï¸
