A couple months back I wrote a rave review for Anastasia's brow marker the day after I bought it. Before my review was even approved to be posted, I wound up hating the thing. The marker tip got too soft, bendy, and unabsorbent. I brought it back to Ulta and they suggested I try Stila's marker, which is more of a paint brush style tip than a felt tip. I've been using it for nearly two months to completely fill in my eyebrow tattoos that lack any natural hair, and it's still going strong. Will definitely buy again.
The light color option is NOT "beautifully warm" as i was told when I submitted a question online before purchasing. It is cool and dark, which is, incidentally, exactly the opposite of what I need. The formula seems slightly watery, which is to be expected with this type of applicator, but I was definitely expecting a smoother spread of pigment from such a light-toned product. When I removed it from my brow, the product left on my makeup wipe was a greenish hue. I will say however that the swatch on my arm hung around for about two days (I avoided actively washing or wiping it when bathing). So if you can find a shade that works with your coloring, go for it!

I'm so glad this product was featured in an Ulta email. My brows are getting sparse as I age and eyebrow pencils don't show on my skin at all. So I've been looking for something better and this is perfect. It lasts all day (I do use a setting spray).

As I age I have less and less brows to work with. This product is perfect for me. It delivers smooth application and looks much better than a powder or the tri-tipped products. I've actually fallen asleep with it on and still had brows when I woke up. This is the only product I use for my brows. I absolutely love it!

This is the absolute BEST liquid brow pencil on the market! Seriously it's amazing! It stays all day and does not come off until you wash it off!
K from The Villages, FL
it isn't an overwhelming addition to my appearance

When I first used it, I loved it! Then I tried to use it a second time but it's dried up or something?? Even if I push gently on the brush part to try and get product out, just a gray translucent color comes out.

I really like the way it looks when it is on. It stays on and doesn't get that clumpy look like a brow pencil does. My issue is that with the color "Light" it is to dark for my fair skin tone. I WOULD LOVE FOR THE MANUFACTURER OF STILA TO MAKE A LIGHTER VERSION.

I've tried several different brow marker products and feel this one is the best! I purchased it in medium which is definitely a cool/ash brown tone that applies fairly light, but is easily buildable for a darker look. The color lasts all day without fading or turning blue/green which I have experienced with other brands. Works beautifully to either fill in sparse areas, or to get a micro bladed look. With the first use, I found it to be dry, but after storing it cap side down everyday, the product flow is so much better - I've been using the same pen for 6 weeks!

I got this in Medium, which is hard to believe because the color is very very very light/translucent gray. I repeat, this is not a brown, or ash brown, it looks straight up like a faint gray marker stripe. It does stay on very well, you can tell that by doing swatches on your hand and running your finger across it, so it seems like a brow stain, which I would LOVE, if the color wasn't so weird. It really is a gray color. Perhaps they meant "Medium Gray" and I assumed they meant medium brown? Either way, I am using it anyway because it was expensive and I think I lost the box it came with. The marker tip is also more soft than I expected, so it does make a thicker line more easily than I thought it would, which makes me wonder if I would enjoy this even if I found a darker color.

I use this to complete the inner corner of my brows as they were ruined by electrolysis. You need a steady hand and if you apply careful strokes, you can't even tell it's not your real brows. Unfortunately finding a good shade is difficult now due to Covid restrictions keeping you from trying sample. Also, for the price, it should last longer. If Stila can't improve that, they should lower the price.

2nd color if Stila & like this one as closet match. But going to combine the 2 shades, neutral & slightly darker, for a natural look.

Ok I used this for quite a while until finding other similar products from other brands that are cheaper and just as comparable to this. It works REALLY WELL honestly, but when you first use it after opening it goes on pretty heavy, probably because the brush head is so saturated in the formula. So you have to change your application technique with this overtime as the product dries up. It seems because it uses so much formula from the first use that you end up actually only getting to use a fraction of what you get which is kind of frustrating when it's already so small. This is more of a design flaw of this type of product though I think and I've seen this same issue across other brands as well. It does stay all day though and lasts decently well around water without running down your makeup (sweat, rain, beach etc).

I've been using this product for years in the medium color and have really liked it. It's definitely not waterproof but I just try to avoid weather or situations that would make it run. My local Ulta doesn't carry it anymore so I've been ordering it from Ulta online for a few months. The most recent pen I got is completely different. The color is very sheer and doesn't go on as smooth as usual. Also the lid which is usually kind of hard to get off is really easy to get off. I'm going to return it tomorrow and reorder another one hoping it was a bad batch.

Literally the brow product I've been searching my whole life for. Gives me the perfect shape I desire but still looks natural!!! So much easier to apply than any liner or powder I've used. I've never been so happy with a product before. Will be purchasing forever!!!!

This product has a fine tip which makes it easy to use, but I really don't get the microbladed look. The color is rather gray looking.

I wanted to try something new for my brows, since they're super light and using a brow pomade without a full face of makeup ends up looking harsh.
I'm in love. This looks natural and is super easy to use. I will definitely continue buying this.

My BFF recommended this to me and I am so grateful. I have tried SO many brow products that you have to spend so much time being ultra applying in order to not go overboard - and then it just wears off by the end of the day - totally a waste of my time. I am not a fan of the dramatic brow look for myself (for others - do ya thing!) and due to an unfortunate incident at the tender age of 11 involving wax, I have very sparse brows. This is SO easy and the medium shade matches my brows perfectly and allows me to just fill in the sparse areas, for an even natural-looking (like really though - you have to look super close to realize it's not my actual brow hairs) brow that stays ALL day - even through swimming. Also - lasts forever! My first pen lasted me 6-8 months. Never straying to any other product again!

This product is Awesome, the gal that waited on me had beautiful eyebrows that looked fake! I said "how do you get your eyebrows to look that beautiful?" She took me over to this product and explained how to use it, small short strokes upward is all you do. I was skeptical of course, got home, did it and LOVED IT! They stay nice, look professional and color lasts. I defiantly recommend this product!! This is my new forever favorite!!

I came into Ulta specifically looking for a brow pencil. I was torn between Benefit and Urban Decay and wound up purchasing this based off of an employee's recommendation. I wound up throwing it away two days later because it didn't work. I would have returned it but I threw the box away not thinking I'd need it because of how much the employee raved about it.

I have purchased this product several times and loved it. This time it seemed a little dried up and hard to put on. I'm going to return it and see if I can exchange it for a different one.

I loved this product until I wore it on a hot day and begin to sweat… It melted right off my face I was so disappointed!! I thought it was supposed to be waterproof but even with a drop of water it starts to come off!! If you were not going to be sweating or be in or around water this product is great otherwise do not buy it because it is waterproof like I did.
CaseyD from Atlanta
They changed the formula and the pen dries out before you can even use it twice. It's completely ruined if it touches any powder. Such a waste.
Judy from Honolulu HI
Very easy and smooth to apply. Great coverage. But too easy to wipe off so it doesn't stay on all day.
Gia Marie from Pearland
After my eyebrows started thinning this is the only product that looks natural and stays put all day

Really like using this brow pen, especially to draw fine hairs. The tip makes it easy and final eyebrow looks real, something a pencil could never do.

While on one hand, it's a "pro" that this is hard to remove, I had to exert considerable effort. I used the brand of make-up remover from the company w/ the pink Cadillacs and I have always used that brand of remover. I love it b/c it's usually very effective but also gentle. I used it on this product and my brows were still largely there. I used a cleanser and a Clarisonic and that did the job. So if you are worried about accidenally rubbing your face and rubbing your brow off, no worries w/ this product. I think this is a little hard to get the hang of using, but I think I will like it eventually. It's got a tip like a fine paintbrush. I went looking for a twist-up (not a "sharpen") brow pencil (mechanical, not wood-encased) and really had a hard time. There was a decent BMinerals contender. I opted fo try this instead. If I don't end up being able to make this work, I will purchase the BM one and return this one. But I'm willing to stay with the learning curve and see if I can use this in the long run.
I'm not in love with all these extremely skinny brow pencils that are supposed to be good for mimicking drawing indiv hairs. I have a decent one of those from iT Cosmetics but I want one that can lay down a good base first.
