How to Use
Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars
I ordered dry itchy skin relief, soothing body wash, as the name changed, for a few years. My mother and I have had skin problems over the years. I use Dr. Bonners baby soap, but it doesn't soothe like this product does. The company said it's been discontinued. I can't tell you how disappointed I am. I looked at the ingredients in the the body wash they do still sell, but it has an ingredient I'm allergic to. I am hoarding what remains, which is only one bottle. I don't have a problem with the product. I discovered that if I first put it on the smelly parts, rinse thoroughly , and then pour some on a washrag, then lightly run that over the rest of my body, again rinsing thoroughly, I feel clean and refreshed. After doing that several times, i find that I don't need the lotion very much. I wash my hands a lot, so use the cream (jar) on my hands, and occasionally on my feet, especially in the summer. An added benefit of the anti-itch properties were that it seemed to help my arthritic hands feel better. I don't want the other product, because I'm allergic to the cocoa betaine ingredient, which the anti itch did not have.
I was really hopeful for this products to finally be a body wash that would make me feel clean but not cause me to itch from coconut derived ingredients or drying out my skin. While the lack of lather is not what bothers me, it is instead the fact that the formula is VERY runny. I felt the packaging would have been better as a pump than as a flip-top bottle. I also did not like the way that I never actually felt clean after using it, especially in my pits and groin area (aka the most important part!) It also didn't make me feel clean after swimming, I still felt like I had that chlorine film on my skin but now with oil on top of it.
I could see this being great for a bath oil or as a last resort for extreme cases, but I think I will stick to using their hydrating face wash as an all over solution.

Yes it's little runny but it is an oil based cleanser so I figured it would be. My skin feels very clean and moisturized and it is a fantastic product. I've even used it on my face when my skin gets insanely dry and it brings it back to normal. I will continue to use this product and try to cash in anytime I find a bogo or something. It's always helpful to keep this product on hand.

This smells AWFUL!
I truly love most of the CeraVe products I've used, but this one is a no go.
If you are at all sensitive to smells/scents, stay away from this one.

I tried to use this twice but just couldn't due to the smell. It's almost like straight vinegar. It may work well but I couldn't even get that far!

My 5 year old daughter had terribly dry, itchy skin. This helped immediately and her skin is so much softer and she itches so much less

I'm giving 3 stars for this because of the smell. It says unscented, but it is not. It smells awful, but it does help with dry skin. It's more of an oil than body wash, so it does not lather very well. My skin gets very dry in the winter which is why I got it, and it does help but you just have to get past the smell.

This is the only product I have ever used that made my skin feel soft and moisturized. My skin stays soft till my next shower. Amazing!

I don't love the consistency of this product but this seriously helps me out with my eczema SO MUCH!!! I've also noticed that it has improved the texture and redness of my skin after shaving too!

I received samples of this from my dermatologist. I was sceptical because of the reviews. This does not foam. But it works for how I use it. I apply a little in my hands and rub it on my problems spots for about 60 seconds, then use regular body wash (Aveeno), and follow up on my problem spots with the CeraVe "Itch Relief Moisturizing Lotion." My stubborn eczema spots that use to stay for MONTHS, is now gone in a matter of a week. Now this is just what I have found to work for me but they both reduce my itching, which is what I have a huge problem with. And even though the medication my dermatologist gives me works, it's the itching it does not stop.
I give this 4 out of 5 just because of the way it makes my skin feel after I use it and how it does not foam. And also I can't use this product on its own, but I am satisfied with it. I highly suggest getting samples or trying the travel sized first!

I use this product during the winter/dry season. It helps my skin lock in the moisture it would normally lose after a shower. Leaves me feeling very moisturized.

This product is great if you have eczema or really dry skin. I keep seeing comments about it not lathering, but oil washes are not supposed to lather. Lathering washes are what will dry skin out. I saw improvements after 3 weeks and I will never use another wash. The smell is just ok 4 stars because I wish they had a larger bottle size.

This is good product but it takes time to solve the issue with dryness and itchy skin it is runny product and doesn't make lather but I been using this product for few weeks with itch control lotion I see very slight difference

Dr suggested I may be developing eczema I will itch my legs and other areas of my skin until it bleeds! I have fairly oily not dry skin so I didn't think this would help. What I do is wash with a lathering scent free eczema body wash from another brand and then end my shower with this oil. I pour some in my hand and emulsify it and smear it over all my itchy hotspots, legs, hips, chest, armpits, lower back and butt. I rinse it lightly and post shower it feels like I've lathered in deep lotion. It seems to keep the itching under control for most of the day.
The container absolutely sucks. I will put my next one in an old face wash pump instead.

I had high hopes for this product because I love this brand. However this product is the absolute worst. It's like oil in a bottle. It doesn't lather nor clean your skin. This is NOT body wash. I used it a week ago and I'm still trying to clean the oil slick out of my bathtub.

Shave with it in the shower

This is the WORST body wash EVER. Smells awful, doesn't lather, has consistency of water and simply does NOT work at all. Because it has the consistency of water, you feel as if you have to use more and next thing you know, the bottle is empty within 3 or 4 showers. PLEASE save your money and don't purchase this item!! I would give this zero stars if possible.

I bought this to help with my eczema on recommendation from several articles, but it actually made my skin worse. It made me brake out in a rash all over my body. It doesn't lather, smells strange, and is very runny. The consistency makes it so you have to use a lot of product. Not worth the money.

I usually use a different product, but decided to try this instead...no thanks. It's very watery and because of that, is very wasteful. It literally pours out of the bottle like water and before you know it, it's everywhere. Doesn't lather at all, so you have to use twice as much because it doesn't spread easily. The consistency is terrible. Smells yuck too. Very disappointed.

I just started using this and thought it would lather like a normal body wash, but this is a body oil rather! Nothing wrong w that just didn't expect it. It doesn't smell great, but I do think that it works if you use enough of it. Honestly I just use Dove Fragrance Free Sensitive body wash and that works fine for me (note that I do not have eczema on my legs though, so that may be why I can use that product). Overall, not too bad but a bit pricey for having to use so much of the product.

Use on areas where have eczema, liquid is thick and concentrated. Seems to be helping so far.

The product smells terrible. You must use a lot of product to wash your body. It doesn't feel refreshing and leaves skin dry. Not very effective.

My legs used to be SO itchy all the time. I would put eczema lotion on them and regular lotion and they still would be itchy. And when I scratched my legs they appeared super dry! I bought this body wash actually for my arms when I had eczema break outs, but it helped my legs more than anything! The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't lather. But that's a small price to pay for the results you get!

I am so glad ULTA is now selling this body wash! It is getting harder to find in stores. I like to use this as a body wash and shampoo. If you do buy this, your shower floor is going to be slippery. I would suggest you put a anti-slip mat or towel on the floor.

I've been looking for a good fragrance free body wash and I'm glad I found this! I have extremely sensitive skin due to eczema and KP and everything dries my skin out but this product doesn't contain actual soap and is more of an oil so it feels really hydrating but also cleans my skin at the same time! My skin feels healthier after using it. Be careful not to spill it though it is super liquidy due to the oily consistency. Even if you don't have eczema but are looking for a body wash that's not so stripping to the skin, try this one!
