Easy to use and flattering

I have received the Morphe Solo Artist Priming Cream Eyeshadow in the shade Remix for free in exchange for my review. Remix is a cool toned dark brown shade. My understanding is that this can be a two in one, a primer or used as a cream eyeshadow or both depending on the look you are trying to cre...ate. It is easy to apply with a finger. It does stain your finger a bit. The pigmentation is about a 3.7/5 for me. It's build-able. As you apply with your finger though and blend, it can sheer out. Which could be a good thing for some but it is more work to layer. I need to do about 2-3 layering to get the intensity I am looking for (intense, not sneered). If you want to use this as a cream shadow, do your transition/crease shades first because it is little patchy. No fault of the product, skin moves and it just is harder to blend. It could get a little muddy if you start first with the pot and then using powdered shadows unless you strictly just do your eyelid and avoid patting whatever is left to the crease. As a cream eyeshadow, it is okay, but for a primer, it is more ideal and good for doing darker looks, laying this as your base and patting black eyeshadow if you want a dark eye look. I have tried the primer/cream shadow with powder eyeshadow and used as a stand alone with liquid glitter shadow as a topper. I prefer using this as a stand alone and adding some glitter for pizzaz. I avoided mascara in this look to show the product more clearly. As a cream eyeshadow, the staying power is average. I get about 8 hours of wear. It does fade a little bit, at least on me. I would be more interested in lighter colours, just for the ease of blending but I do see the vision and concept of where morphe is going with this. This is a decent base if you need a dark base for your black eyeshadows or liquid shadows, black based chrome shadows etc. All in all, I'm not too sure if I'd purchase more darker colours. I need to play around with incorporating other eyeshadows more. I do mostly rely on my fingers as I find it easiest to apply. I do think the colour is nice as a stand alone. Id recommend this if you're wanting to try a cool toned dark brown 2 in 1 cream eyeshadow / primer.
