Most Helpful Positive Review Changed my skin routine for the better!
Although it has a bit of a white cast, after about 5-10 min it soaks in nicely and has a great matte effect. I've been using this for a month now and I find I don't need to wear foundation anymore. The SPF 50 holds up great in dry and hot weather. I'd definitely recommend it! Great value!
Most Helpful Critical Review Terrible
I cannot use chemical sunscreen, so it's nice that mineral options for the face are getting easier to find. However, unlike its claim, this sunscreen does NOT dry clear when using the amount you're supposed to. It gives a severe white cast, does not apply easily or evenly, and stays excessively shiny. After an hour, my face felt itchy and parched. Makeup applies terribly, and once on there's severe settling into lines and pores. I've never looked so cake faced. I tried it for two days, and it broke me out. Maybe my body will like this better, but I'm never putting this on my face again. I'd rather pay more to get an actually decent product.

I am Asian and my skin is a lightish tan color. This sunscreen, even when rubbed in thoroughly, left a strong white cast. It is impossible to use a good amount for full coverage (you need a teaspoon / quarter sized amount! no little dabs!) without making me look super pale. Mixing it with foundation helped, but it still made me lighter.
The one pro about this product is that it gave me no irritation, unlike other sunscreens (chemical ones) that I've tried.
the attached picture shows before and after. I rubbed it in really good for a solid minute. The whiteness only gets slightly better after waiting 10min for it to sink in more
The worst sunscreen I have ever used
sami from VA
IT has a horrible white cast. It doesn't blend into the skin. I have no idea what to do with it now since I threw away the box. Its the worst.
Turtle from Long Beach, CA
Bought this because my old sunscreen had expired. Used it for swimming in the middle of summer in Arizona. 110+ degree heat and sun. My face did not get burned at all with using this product.
The white cast is bad
Jay from Chicago
I've been using this for a few months now, it really never gets better. The product is sticky and hard to get on. It leaves me looking pale with no pink and when I apply makeup over it, my make up cakes up and just looks bad. I can't seem to look good with this sunscreen on and will not be buying it again. It keeps me safe from the sun, but thats really the bare minimum- I wouldn't even try this with pigment the formula is just bad.
The BEST sunscreen ever!
Maria in the midwest from St. Louis, MO
I love this product. It is a mineral based sun screen which is made of zinc oxide. It is white but it is absorbed into your skin and the SPF 50 is good protection against skin cancer. I wear it under my makeup everyday. It is my go-to sunscreen for everyday.
not sheer on me
kpca from san francisco
It made my face whitish. I have fair/medium tone skin. disappointing
Disappointed with this product
Angela28 from Delaware
I bought this product online, when I could not find the face sunscreen I had previously used: Sensitive Skin Fast liquid sunscreen.
Unlike the Sensitive Skin product, this product is not "sheer" as it claims, and doesn't work as an everyday application before moisturizer.
It is probably great for the beach, but that's not what I was looking for.
Good for sensitive skin, does leave white cast
jackie91 from Michigan, USA
I've been using this sunscreen for a few months. It is very thick so takes a bit of work to spread on. My skin is very sensitive and I thankfully do not react to this sunscreen. I do notice a white cast, and I have relatively fair skin. This has led me to not want to use this for every day wear, but only if I'm going out for a run where I want protection but don't really care if I look like a ghost.
Thick, Gritty, White Cast
Maddie from Florida
This is extremely thick and hard to rub in, I can't imagine why this is marketed for the face. It also has a gritty texture when rubbing it in which is not pleasant. It feels like a chore to have to put it on. On top of that, it leaves an extreme white cast. I'm very pale and would only use this under makeup.
Leaves a terrible white cast
Sam from Whittier
It doesn't like to blend in and it's very splotchy
Ridiculous White Cast
JayT from Los Angeles
I bought this because the site's test recommended it and I put my concern was white cast. It has a very terrible and obvious white cast. Utterly disappointed and waste of money.
Pasty, splotchy, bad
Hey from Southern California
This leaves a terrible white cast (and I'm already pale) and is quite difficult to spread. Not to mention it seems to be pretty stubborn to remove. On top of that, it creases and transfers easily so it'll get splotchy around the creases of my neck/face and it'll have lines if I wear a mask. It does its job which is why I'll give two stars, but it's pretty horrible besides that. The smell also isn't great.
Sheer zinc dace dry sun screen
ADEN05 from Leesburg, Florida
I love the lightness of this zinc product. I have extremely dry sensitive aging skin. I prefer mineral sunscreen especially for my face and this one doesn't feel heavy or leave your face looking white. Works very well.
AJ from Seattle, WA
At first i really loved this product because the oatmeal was so soothing on my skin and I felt really well moisturized. It leaves a bit of a white cast but it dissipates after a minute, and Im fair skinned so I didnt mind. Unfortunately after a few days of using this I started to break out all over my face, in places i dont normally break out. This could be a great product for someone else I just cant use it myself
KindaBummedOut from FL
This didn't irritate my eyes but it settles into lines and creases on face and body. Is also extremely thick and difficult to spread. I actually got a cramp in my hand applying to my neck and chest area!
I like this product.
Jewles from Summerville SC
I'm using this product until I get my usual from the dermatologist. Works well. Blends in face well.
Sheer Zinc Sunscreen
Kim Petrus from undisclosed
I've been using Neutrogena products for years and I wear face sunscreen everyday. This sunscreen I only wear if I'm around the house since it's very thick and I find hard to use under makeup.
The texture is a no for me
Dez from Louisville, KY
I have dry, medium tan skin. This sunscreen felt gritty in my hands and didn't feel good to rub in. Even though I knew there would be a white cast, I still wanted to try it. I'll be using this for my body from now on.
Not for face
Not for face from NJ
The product is advertised for face so I bought it specifically as sunscreen for face. The cream is thick and heavy and it does not apply to face well at all. It leaves my face ghostly white and it does not dry clear. The product reminds me of sunscreen that we rub on children in the summer and they are left with white patches. It's definitely not a good face product.
I wish I could give this zero stars
Nooo from VA
I have been looking for an affordable sheer mineral sunscreen for years and this was another letdown. It is not sheer at all and has a horrible white cast. To make matters worse it was very thick and difficult to remove. I use a gentle cleanser that has always done a good job removing sunscreen and makeup but 8 hours after applying this sunscreen I washed my face three times and still had residue on my face. I would not recommend this producer to anyone, it is horrible!
If I could give it no stars...

Horrible horrible white cast
Super hard to rub in
So many better brands. Couldn't be more disappointed with this...
Sheer Zinc Sunscreen
Tierra from undisclosed
It works well, but I thought my face wasn't going to be white at all. It's much better than others, that I've used.
I look like Casper the ghost
Kaileyk from Canada
This sun screen makes my skin feel good but the white cast is not worth it , no matter how much you rub it in, you look white as snow ... it sucks
Tyler from Madison, Wisconsin
Look, I wanted a sunscreen to protect my scarred and sensitive skin from the sun, and I got it but my god if you are anything other then completely alabaster, if you're like 1/15th Italian on your moms side, this probably isn't for you. I am ghostly white, I glow in the sunlight and I can even see a white cast even 10 minutes after application. And on top of that, it's actually like spreading elmers glue on your face, I have to make sure to scrape it out of my eyebrows before it dries, it's so thick. it sets in a little bit but I can still feel it throughout the day. But yknow what, even with all of that, it does it's job, my scars don't look so pink as they did when I was using a moisturizer with spf, and I guess that's all i can ask for with the nice price
Really bad breakouts doesn't work well with makeup

This made my skin break out so bad! I have it multiple chances but no luck. It also doesn't work well under my makeup it peels every time
