I love antique vanities but struggled with lighting till I got this Riki Skinny. I use it on top of a makeup storage box I already use on top of my vanity, elevating helps for a better view/use & I'm a bit taller so it definitely makes a difference for me. I even use it to do photos, videos, rather convenient vs. ring light & great when on the go & just need this lil guy for light, makeup and photo/film. The phone holder holds my large phone well. (I know Riki Loves Riki sells a few options to stick your mirror to another mirror or elevate so removable stand is also great for versatility) I sometimes do elaborate make-up and use this on battery for many hours. It's battery life has gone down, but not too bad till I hit about two years did I start noticing the reduced charge hold. Practicing proper/conservative recharging (like not leaving plugged in when unneeded using full cycles etc like any other re-chargeable item) can help extend it but after 2 years I am noticing it and moving towards leaving it plugged in. Still even plugged in simple, easy, and I can tuck away in the vanity drawer quickly to keep my antique vanity looking more period appropriate.
I'm probably the only reviewer who has fully used this for 1 year on a daily basis. It was GREAT at first--adjustable brightness, magnetic zoom mirror accessory that I still use, rechargeable, mirror is a great size if you want large.
The cons though are HUGE and must be called out. The battery is rechargeable, but similar to my Apple iPad and iPhone, it has a short shelf life the more you charge it. Over time, the battery deteriorates and it will be less and less time between the time you have to recharge again. After awhile, I would have to recharge every 2-3 days, and the battery would drain very quickly.
For the price, the stand is incredibly bad and flimsy. It no longer stands straight, it slips, and I have to basically wedge it between candles to keep it up. I tried installing sand paper, grips, ANYTHING, but nothing works.
At this point, it won't even charge at all and I recently (as in 2 days ago, about a year after I purchased new), it has gone straight into the garbage. What a waste. I mean, I used it everyday, but know that this is a big investment for something that cannot be fixed later on.

Total waste of money.

I like the mirror and use it daily but it's NOT quality, especially considering the high price. The adjustable stand already broke and I don't think I can justify purchasing the one on the website because 1. its expensive and 2. I don't have high hopes that this mirror will last very long. It would be an awesome mirror if the materials weren't so cheap and flimsy.

I loved this mirror initially, unfortunately at about the year make it stopped holding a charge and would only stay in for about 5 min before shutting off. For the price I would expect the mirror to last much longer. From the what I have seen this has been a consistent problem with this mirror. Bummer. Don't waste your money.

Instead of putting a track in the stand to hold the grip strip they glued it on it. Mine came off after about 5 uses. The stand can't hold the mirror without it. It's cheaply made for the price point.

The mirror was fantastic at first great brightness and adjustable lighting. Sadly after 8 months it wont hold a charge no matter how long we plug in. It will work for maybe two to five minutes if we are lucky.

I had my eye on this mirror for a while and I bought it when it went on sale. I have used it almost every single day since! It provides great lighting for when you need to get up close and precise with things and it's beautiful! I'm very happy with my purchase. I even take it with me when I travel and it's super easy to pack up.

I loved this mirror when it worked, unfortunately it won't even turn on now. Sad that I paid so much for a product that didn't last. Tried contacting customer service but they only have a voicemail box that is full. Guess I have to find a new mirror from another company.

This was an impulse buy because my local Ulta randomly had one in store. I used my points to get a pretty hefty discount, it feels really sturdy and the battery life seems pretty good so far. I wouldn't recommend it because there are definitely cheaper alternatives that are equivalent quality.

First I love love how bright the mirror is idk home some can complain about that. the mirror is beautiful buuut, I wish it stayed charged longer and keeping the cord in wouldn't be an issue if the cord was longer.

I shudder to think of what I looked like prior to gazing into this magic mirror!!

At first I was a bit hesitant to purchase due to the price! However, after all the research I've done and constantly spending money on cheaper products that do not last or break quickly. If I add up the amount of money spent! I would be on my second riki haha! Overall, it's light weight but sturdy. The different level
Of lighting is amazing & blinding hahah! Great for making YouTube video and any! Which was why I purchased it in the first place! It's a must have!

I have a perfect lil' vanity nook... but after experimenting with multiple different additional lighting nothing worked well. I tried those stick-on cute bulb lights but not bright enough... clip on lights, table lights ending with using one of my photography lights for a while but it was so annoying to move around to access my makeup, till finally I got this mirror! This mirror on my vanity top is so much better & convenient!
On my vanity In front of my larger antique mirror hung on the wall it's a great light source to also use the larger mirror behind it to see further away or more, then the lil' Riki Skinny is nice & close for face & detail work. I set it on top of a storage drawer to give it a bit more height as well so I look straight on to it & not down.

The led lighting built into the mirror is awesome and so is the the magnet magnifying attachment it's cool that it has a selfie Bluetooth button and that it comes with a phone holder. I was loving it even more after being declared legally blind. All was great until the attachments started sliding off the mirror!

It is beautiful. Looks so pretty on my vanity. And I just can't imagine doing my makeup without it. Sadly, I will have to. My first one quit charging. It was replaced after I emailed a video of it failing to charge. I have had my second one for less than a year. It quit charging last night. It would charge for 10 or 15 flashes then quit. I wish that I didn't have to leave this review. It is such a beautiful mirror. And I will miss it so much.

I sent my husband a link for this mirror for Christmas because my smart mirror drove me insane and I literally just wanted a mirror that worked. It was my Christmas gift and I absolutely LOVE it! The adjustable lighting is perfect! It's simply yet everything thing I've wanted in a mirror for years!

I absolutely love this mirror. I can take it room to room depending on where I feel like doing my makeup and the LEDs are perfect! So happy I decided to go with this mirror as opposed to the other ones that Ulta carries. It's so sleek and does not feel cheap at all. Looking into getting the tall from their actually site now.

This mirror and the lighting is fantastic my makeup has never looked better. Liked it so much I bought another one for my daughter. I would definitely buy again.

Love having this thing. Only thing is I have to charge it once a week. But that's using it consistently every day. Aside from that I love it.

I bought this mirror with normal expectations and yet was extremely disappointed for the high price tag. Pros: the overall miror size is great - it's nice and flat, the magnetic magnifying mirror is nice, I also like the adjustable phone magnetic mirror attachnent too. I never used the Bluetooth feature, so I can't comment on that. It seems unnecessary when my phone is next to me, but whatever. Cons: THE LIGHT IS OBNOXIOUSLY TOO BRIGHT ON THE LOWEST SETTING. Literally, the LED lights hurt my eyes so unbearably bad and there is no way to dim them any lower. It claims you can, nope, you can only brighten 5x. It's also a bright fluorescent light, not warm at all. The stand is too big when it's open, so I needed to mount it on my wall, which was fine. I need my counterspace and it took up too much space on my counter. Also, not only did I get it for 20% off, but I used $50.00 worth of my Ulta points that I'll never get back. I'm returning this item. I cant imagine how reviews are this high... when the light is on the highest setting my husband comes running in the room thinking a UFO is landing. Thumbs down.

I went ahead and bit the bullet on getting this particular mirror because I really was looking for quality. I'm really glad that I chose this particular mirror! It's worth the money!

This is the best mirror I have owned. It's slim enough to put in your backpack to travel with like an iPad.
I love how portable this is and I like using it at home too. I usually have vanity lights that can get super hot and I hate using it in the summer, so this mirror is a great option for me when I want great lighting without the heat.

I just picked up this mirror today in white and I absolutely love it. Well worth the cost. Haven't used all the functions yet but I'm already obsessed!!!
