It's such a good retinol FOR SENSITIVE TYPES

this is really good entry to retinol products , if you use it often tour skin will soften and be more supple. The retinol isnt strong thogh, however not a con as it doesnt cause peeling redness or sensitivity . If you want more intense results this isnt for u, its for someone who just wants softer s...

Not worth it/ bad ingredients

I wanted to love this jasmine retinol face lotion. It didn't bother my skin or caused any breakouts. The reason i am giving this face lotion 3 stars is because it really doesn't have a lot of retinol in it and it has the weakest amount. Yes it has Jasmine oil and blackberry extract which are good ingredients but it contains soybean oil which clogs the skin. So in general it's really not worth it because in the end you aren't getting enough of the retinol that you need at night 2-3 times a week to help with the anti aging process.

I bought this on an impulse because I love buzzwords like "Jasmine" and "Retinol". I was pretty excited about it, but wasn't super impressed upon first use. It smells nothing like jasmine—in fact it has a faint scent that is inexplicably reminiscent of dried out shredded carrots and iceberg lettuce that my childhood hamster opted not to eat (I'm serious). Further, the package recommends daily use and doesn't specify that it needs to be at night, which is strange for any self-respecting retinoid as you need to train your skin to handle it and sun breaks it down (weakens it). I checked the back and the retinoid in it is the weakest type (retinyl palmitate). Not sure how much is even in there. Anyway it feels nice and my pomeranian loves the taste so I guess I don't totally hate it? I prefer The Ordinary's simpler/cheaper/more effective products.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

The cream really moisturizes the skin and is a great addition to the oil or as a single cosmetic. The skin is soft and looks healthy and the cream is very effective!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Caused acne :(

I bought this for my mom and I since we have acne prone, oily combo skin. It feels nice like a water moisturizer but I'm giving it 2 stars since it caused us acne within 2 days of usage... It does feel nice but it feels like a waste because we try to do skincare that prevents acne and breakouts.

Tried this in a small size via the holiday kits.. loved this lotion! Makes my skin smooth and sits under makeup really well. I have oily skin and this reacts well with it; no strong smell either
