i'm reading a lot of the reviews and i just feel compelled to write a review so that they do not discontinue this product. i find that it rubs in very well— albeit a little tacky but honestly that's what you're gonna get from a true mineral sunscreen! i don't get a white cast (i have light/medium skin with golden undertones) from this and it's made with clean ingredients. are you gonna get all that from any other brand? at least for me, i haven't found another that compares with such a high (EFFECTIVE) zinc oxide percentage!!! i introduced my friend (light skin with golden undertones) to this and he loves it as well. if you're getting burned, then please keep in mind that ANY spf should be reapplied every 2 hours. also, i don't know what other reviewers are talking about about the smell. yes it smells slightly but after you put it on for a few minutes, there is no smell. it's just a combination of clean natural ingredients smell! i am on my 3rd bottle now.
sidenote: please acure— can you make a mineral strictly face only spf that doesn't also act as a moisturizer? i am reading a lot of articles that say spf combined with moisturizer isn't as effective bc there is more moisturizing ingredients as opposed to just getting all spf.
I usually love Acure products so I wanted to love this, but it is not good. When you first put it on your skin it is almost as if the mineral particles have fallen out of the solution so there are these white clumps on your skin. The white clumps have an almost pinky purplish sheen to them and you have to quickly and furiously rub them in or they will dry in place and look like white spots or patches. After a couple minutes of rubbing there was a very minimal white cast but my face was tarry-sticky-oily for a few hours, and my face got excessively sweaty under my mask which doesn't happen with other SPFs. I've included pictures of when I first spread the formula on my skin and after rubbing it in a bit. I'm a little concerned that I didn't get all over coverage due to what looked like mineral clumps that did not spread evenly, based on that and the awful finish I cannot recommend this product. Also, I saw a review that implied that the product doesn't run in well on dry skin so I feel the need to add that I have combo/oily skin so that does not explain my experience.

This saved my skin. I never knew how important wearing sunblock daily was- this lotion protects and helps my skin. Great product.

Applying this product leaves whites patches all over my face. Trying to rub it in takes really agressive massaging leaving my skin feeling pulled and pushed around. I will not be purchasing again.

I bought this product on a whim trying to find a good mineral sunscreen without reading the reviews. Big mistake. I hoped I would be a special case and love this sunscreen, but sadly Im not. When you first put it on, there are white patches and clumps that you can not rub in no matter how hard you try. This is even after shaking the tube for a good 5-10 minutes. I then tried testing this on my hand (after more shaking), and I did find that you can blend out those white patches once the product "dries" down a bit, but the feel is still very tacky and the white cast will make any wrinkles/lines very noticeable. The smell isn't bad, just kinda like an oatmeal and not very strong. Wanted to love this product because it has vitamin C in it, sad that I do not.

This product in the beginning was nice but I do notice that it does feel tacky and drying on my skin, if I add it without my serums and stuff on first it is still weird. It feels like it takes a long time to blend and looks all patchy everytime now. It also makes in between my forehead itch. It reminds me of the Coola Mineral face cream

Don't love the feeling of it. When I apply it, I immediately feel the layer of sunscreen on my face, but it's weird, it doesn't feel super moisturizing like actual sunscreen. It truly feels like it sits on top of my skin—it's weird. Haven't had any other problems but probably won't purchase again. It also kinda smells like plain oatmeal which I don't hate or love

I've been using this for about 2 weeks, and the past week or so, I've noticed my skin becoming dried out and itchy by lunch time. I live in a very humid climate, and this takes me back to dry wintertime skin for some reason. I love all of my other Acure products, but this one's a dud!

Just purchased this and used it for the first time.
First impression is I think I need to shake it before squeezing it to make sure everything is all together.
I did get the little bite pieces that were hard to blend into the skin. Other than that I liked it a lot. A little goes a long way and I like that it gets a little tacky! I used the green juice face wash before adding the spf day cream, which made me wonder if I didn't get the cleanser off enough (due to the build up of white parts only on certain parts of my face lol) I used this before putting on the 12 hour hydrating moisturizer. They worked great together! Had no issues at all.

I have worn this over skin care and on it's own. It's not the white cast that gets to me, it's the streakiness and the persistent greasy feeling that stays for hours afterwards. I'm sure it's effective, but so many other brands work better and are less unpleasant.

This applied very splotchy and stayed in thick patches on my face which took a while to blend. Also made my face look pale

First I'd like to say I have NEVER found a mineral SPF that does not leave a cast. Some worse than others, but ALL of them leave some type of cast on my skin. With that being said this mineral spf moisturizer leaves the least cast on my skin. You must shake it well before you apply it and it does take some effort to rub it in. But once it's evenly spread on the skin, it appears close to invisible. It wears well under powder foundation. I love it for the summer. and is great alone. It's my go to moisturizer.

It's a little thick but I do enjoy it

Not sure why people are saying it doesn't blend for them, this is the best absorbing mineral sunscreen I've tried. It does go on a little white but spreads easily and dries clear within minutes for me. Makes a lovely smooth base for makeup but also dries to a non-greasy natural finish for wearing alone. It's not caused any breakouts and seems to moisturize well and smooth- slightly helping fines lines. Just wish the bottle was bigger!!!

This product does not apply smoothly. It is streaky, and splotchy. I called customer service and they told me that it will "clump up and make streaky lines" when applied, and will not smooth out. I was also told there were instructions on the website and packaging referring to this characteristic, but not only does my package not state that, but when I went to the website with the representative, there was no reference. The rep said that info must have been taken off the site. I am returning the product.

pregnancy safe and works great, no sunburn, smooths, and hydrates!

I've had such a hard time finding face sunscreen that I like, but I love this one! I have acne prone skin but it doesn't make me break out, doesn't turn my face white, rubs in easily, and stays on all day.
Mrs P from Georgia
It's like the cream has split inside the tube, and you are trying to apply a thick paste and an oil at the same time. You need to keep rubbing it in until the oil absorbs and then you can work on spreading the cream. Also the smell is not pleasant. The spf does seem to work, but it didn't really work as a moisurizer for me. Definitely won't buy again.

This is the best sunscreen I've tried yet! I wanted to write a review because I was honestly shocked about the rating. I use this every day and am about to buy 2 more for a 2-month trip abroad because I've literally seen the effectiveness of this product! I sat out at my sister's graduation in full sun from 10-1 in June in Virginia and didn't even get a little burned. Very impressed overall.

There are literal chunks of minerals that take about 5 minutes to rub in. Horrible to use and layer and eventually just lifts off your face.

I bought this without reading any reviews which was a mistake. It has this weird texture as you out it on, and then when it's on you, that weird texture becomes sticky. I was expecting a white cast after I realized it had zinc, but because the consistency is so awful, it leaves more textured parts of your face with more white cast. This is meant for the face but I did have some extra the first time I applied and put it on my leg to not be wasteful—it just settled into the texture of my skin. The white cast does fade, but it's still there (I'm a medium-tan right now). I wanted to love it as it has ingredients I normally love, but I think I'm better off buying the serums individually.

I use this as a daily sunscreen and wanted to say something because of the negative reviews. Maybe the previous reviewers got old bottles or something, I never had any clumping issues or separation issues. It is a nice, thin easy to spread formula. I use about a nickel to quarter size amount, rub lightly between fingertips and pat all over my face then rub it in. It is a tiny bit sticky, but I've noticed that with most of these zinc oxide sunscreens. The stickiness does go away for me (can also just dab a tiny bit of powder over it). I have medium tan skin and no white cast with this. Works great under makeup, and my skin definitely looks more glowing and less flaws (brighter!) with im attributing to the vitamin C and turmeric.

Absolutely horrendous! The zinc in the sunscreen clumps up into like literal huge clumps! I tried warming it up, I tried giving it a few chances. I used to love this stuff because it mattified my skin and made it looked brighter and I felt it was really strong spf. It didn't dry my skin out either which I have troubles with, but that may have been bc I mixed it with aloe. But I swear they changed the formula and it seems like they didn't even test it out b/c it just doesn't work at all blending wise. I've never seen a sunscreen clump like this, horrible!

I just went to review, and I'd forgotten how much this was... now I'm even more disappointed! When you put it on your face, it's white and sticky and super hard to rub in. Definitely feels like sunscreen, not a moisturizer. I was trying to splurge a bit on myself, but honestly I much prefer cetaphil or ceraVe spf moisturizer.
Nikki from Los Angeles
This product does not blend when applied on the face, you have to pat it constantly to get it to blend. Once it finally decides to blend it becomes very sticky and leaving my face feeling tight. Save your money for something else.

I may be in the minority here, but I love this product! You do have to spend a little bit of extra time working it into your face, as with most other physical sunscreens. I use this after applying hyaluronic acid in the morning. It feels great after applying, not greasy like some other sunscreens. The only downside is that if you exercise or sweat a lot after applying, it comes off easily. However, I have sensitive skin and this has worked really well for me.
