I used this product for about 6 months and loved the formula. It goes on very smoothly and I never had any issues with a white cast, which is something I have had issues with using mineral sunscreens that have lower zinc content. It is slightly tacky when it's first applied, but after a few minutes, it was matte and didn't feel tacky at all. I also never had problems with pilling or any scent like some others have said. While I loved the formula for this product, I noticed that about 3 months in I started to get really deep and painful breakouts. I attributed them to being in a mask for hours on end when school started again. When I went home for Christmas break, I forgot this sunscreen and used another mineral one that I had at home and saw my skin clear up immediately. After not using this product for about a month, my skin has cleared up almost entirely.
I think this is a great daily sunscreen, but clearly it was not the product for me. I love and use the Acure brightening serum, so it is not due to their vitamin C/ferulic acid formula, but probably something in the actual sunscreen.
I usually love Acure products so I wanted to love this, but it is not good. When you first put it on your skin it is almost as if the mineral particles have fallen out of the solution so there are these white clumps on your skin. The white clumps have an almost pinky purplish sheen to them and you have to quickly and furiously rub them in or they will dry in place and look like white spots or patches. After a couple minutes of rubbing there was a very minimal white cast but my face was tarry-sticky-oily for a few hours, and my face got excessively sweaty under my mask which doesn't happen with other SPFs. I've included pictures of when I first spread the formula on my skin and after rubbing it in a bit. I'm a little concerned that I didn't get all over coverage due to what looked like mineral clumps that did not spread evenly, based on that and the awful finish I cannot recommend this product. Also, I saw a review that implied that the product doesn't run in well on dry skin so I feel the need to add that I have combo/oily skin so that does not explain my experience.

Honestly, I LOVE Acure BUT their facial moisturizers with SPF in them are very disappointing. I tried the seriously smooth and resurfacing and both went on splotchy and hard to rub in. They also leave a tacky/heavy feel. I will not be purchasing this again.

Pros: Two stars for being a clean option for SPF, also didn't break me out
Cons: like other reviews, it was hard to apply/spread and went on blotchy. Also experienced a lot of pilling even without makeup

I have been using and loving the Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream and on a whim I decided to purchase the SPF cream at my local food co-op. I wish I had spent my money on something else. I have dry-ish skin and, as other reviewers have mentioned, this cream applies very unevenly, leaving an unsightly white cast. I've tried shaking the tube before application and it may seem to help but my skin feels so tacky to the touch, it is very unpleasant. I wear sunscreen every day of the year and I was hoping to find an alternative to the French mega-brand that I buy at the drugstore but this is not it. Disappointed.

I wanted to use this as my daily moisturizer but it doesn't spread evenly. It's like the sun screen part is thicker and harder to spread. I'd prefer something else.

When applied to my clean face it went on blotchy (some areas whiter, some almost transparent) I have normal to dry skin and this felt like I was wearing a mask. Returned to the store.

Goes on a bit blotchy and was hard to rub in. It also made my skin feel a bit dry and tight, rather than that soft/dewy feel you want from a day cream. I liked that it had SPF, but since it went on so blotchy I was worried I was missing parts of my face with it. Going to be trying out a different brand's day cream now that I've finished it.

Goes on a little too dry for me but I need the spf.

Lightweight and doesn't smell like sunscreen. Husband has been looking forever for a moisturizer that doesn't leave his face feeling oily.

This is the prefect day moisturizer, especially in the winter (I live in Boston, so winters are always harsh on my skin). I'm so glad they make this with SPF!

This is my go-to for year round sun protection. I've been using it for years and always get compliments on how good my skin looks. I love it!

I love Acure especially the Masks but this product doesn't have nice texture. It has white clumps in it and doesn't feel good on my combination skin.

I've notice this sunscreen has a lot of mixed reviews. It can easily pill and sometimes cling to dry patches. I like to use hydrating primer and let that set in before using applying. There is barely any white caste and it dries to a semi matte finish. I love this product but it can really be hit or miss.

This saved my skin. I never knew how important wearing sunblock daily was- this lotion protects and helps my skin. Great product.

Applying this product leaves whites patches all over my face. Trying to rub it in takes really agressive massaging leaving my skin feeling pulled and pushed around. I will not be purchasing again.

I bought this product on a whim trying to find a good mineral sunscreen without reading the reviews. Big mistake. I hoped I would be a special case and love this sunscreen, but sadly Im not. When you first put it on, there are white patches and clumps that you can not rub in no matter how hard you try. This is even after shaking the tube for a good 5-10 minutes. I then tried testing this on my hand (after more shaking), and I did find that you can blend out those white patches once the product "dries" down a bit, but the feel is still very tacky and the white cast will make any wrinkles/lines very noticeable. The smell isn't bad, just kinda like an oatmeal and not very strong. Wanted to love this product because it has vitamin C in it, sad that I do not.

This product in the beginning was nice but I do notice that it does feel tacky and drying on my skin, if I add it without my serums and stuff on first it is still weird. It feels like it takes a long time to blend and looks all patchy everytime now. It also makes in between my forehead itch. It reminds me of the Coola Mineral face cream

Don't love the feeling of it. When I apply it, I immediately feel the layer of sunscreen on my face, but it's weird, it doesn't feel super moisturizing like actual sunscreen. It truly feels like it sits on top of my skin—it's weird. Haven't had any other problems but probably won't purchase again. It also kinda smells like plain oatmeal which I don't hate or love

I've been using this for about 2 weeks, and the past week or so, I've noticed my skin becoming dried out and itchy by lunch time. I live in a very humid climate, and this takes me back to dry wintertime skin for some reason. I love all of my other Acure products, but this one's a dud!

Just purchased this and used it for the first time.
First impression is I think I need to shake it before squeezing it to make sure everything is all together.
I did get the little bite pieces that were hard to blend into the skin. Other than that I liked it a lot. A little goes a long way and I like that it gets a little tacky! I used the green juice face wash before adding the spf day cream, which made me wonder if I didn't get the cleanser off enough (due to the build up of white parts only on certain parts of my face lol) I used this before putting on the 12 hour hydrating moisturizer. They worked great together! Had no issues at all.

I have worn this over skin care and on it's own. It's not the white cast that gets to me, it's the streakiness and the persistent greasy feeling that stays for hours afterwards. I'm sure it's effective, but so many other brands work better and are less unpleasant.
aly from california
This applied very splotchy and stayed in thick patches on my face which took a while to blend. Also made my face look pale

First I'd like to say I have NEVER found a mineral SPF that does not leave a cast. Some worse than others, but ALL of them leave some type of cast on my skin. With that being said this mineral spf moisturizer leaves the least cast on my skin. You must shake it well before you apply it and it does take some effort to rub it in. But once it's evenly spread on the skin, it appears close to invisible. It wears well under powder foundation. I love it for the summer. and is great alone. It's my go to moisturizer.

It's a little thick but I do enjoy it
